This is one of my favorite little places! It hasn't changed much at all.over the years, but that is what makes it so perfect. Their menu is very basic, and exactly what you would expect from a hot dog joint. Their hot dogs are great, the sauce is great, onion rings are epic. And the Red Wings decor is an added bonus. The staff here is also very friendly! This place is small and when busy it can be a tight squeeze, but that just adds to the experience! If you are looking for a good Coney Dog, it's a great pick!

Great breakfast in a small town. Friend service at a decent pace. French toast was good but slightly too eggy. Best breakfast we’ve had in town!

Fabulous breakfast!!! The thick cut bacon is the best bacon that I have ever eaten! Eggs cooked perfectly! Huge portions!!! The building was a little hard to find and the outside sign is faded but don’t let that stop you! This is a hidden gem!!!

Great Coney dogs! The service is really good. Not a fancy place but it's really good. They also have a breakfast menu. You can get hotdogs 🌭 at breakfast time if you'd like. Check out this great little place!

We came out in August 2020 and had a wonderful time! We found this restaurant because it was recommended by the hotel where we were staying. We went for breakfast and the food was phenomenal! It would be hard to get food that good and hot from a restaurant in Chicago. The hospitality was also great; we felt as if we were having breakfast with family. Everyone one was friendly and treated us with that hometown hospitality. If you want a GREAT breakfast, you want to stop at North Coney Island restaurant. Enjoy!

I give a 5 star for the food and the service. Those girls walk miles around that little place. Staff is very friendly and everyone on of them are multitasking we waited almost an hour but the place was pretty busy

Just stopped in for breakfast at noon, place was busy and they were slinging great food fast. Been looking for a little place like this in the area and am glad I found them on Google maps. Bacon was nice and thick and the pancakes were sweet and fluffy. Good prices too. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Alpena.

If you love fluffy, loaded with goodness omelettes, this is your place! But.....their pancakes and French toast look just as good. Can't complain about the prices either.

Very busy. The staff can only do with what the have. There's nothing worse to make a meal taste bad when you have a lady sitting behind you with enough perfume on to kill a horse.

The service is horrible. I let our server know that my coffee was burned. She snapped!! "you must not like our coffee because there is no way it could be burned" instead of "oh I'm sorry, let me get you a new cup" she said "I'll take it off your bill, you want a water?" in an absolute horrible tone. I would NOT take the time to write a review unless it was necessary. This is not the first time I have been into this restaurant but it was the last.

No frills, clean and friendly! Food was great and so was my Waitress! Would be 5 stars but it was so cold in there that I was shivering the entire time! But I'll definitely be back!

The food is terrific; homemade & fresh. The service is very good unless they are extremely busy & then they do their utmost to serve everyone as quickly as possible. I've never seen the staff unfriendly or rude, even at their busiest. The place is kinda small so it fills up quickly sometimes but overall, it's a great place to eat!

This place is a hidden gem. The food was great. It was our first visit and the Cook did an awesome job. My family thoroughly enjoyed it. They need a bigger location.

A small-town stop for sure with a diner type feel. Fairly small restaurant with only one cook and one waitres who were both working very hard and did a good job.

We are regulars here, and the food is always delicious, and affordable. The staff are friendly and always make us feel welcome. The kids love the food as well, and they are both picky eaters.

Absolutely one of the best breakfast I've had in a very long time. Super friendly staff.. after we left we kept saying we need more of these small mom and pop diners! We will definitely be back. Their coney dogs are amazing too.

This is a great small town "greasy spoon" diner. Menu is simple and straightforward, the food is incredible and the staff is great. Best breakfast in Alpena and best coney dogs north of Detroit, MI.

For the record. Earlier I left a one star review and it was solely because I wasn't paying attention. . I'm here to say we have enjoyed food at coney Island for years and will continue to do so. The food is great. I love their breakfast most of all, and it the local little business that makes or community. If you haven't been there then you really need to stop.

Denise, Lynn, and Kaley make this place so special, they have the best breakfasts, and for lunch I love their BLT'S, and it's reasonably priced! It's definitely better then any chain restaurant!⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐
