Great burger joint that has a wide selection of specialty burgers, plus create your own. They also have some vegetarian choices along with pulled pork, cod, and shrimp choices. I had the 1/3 lb PB&J burger (bunless, served on a bed of greens), topped with bacon, smoked Gouda, thai peanut butter sauce, and a raspberry sauce. Their sauces are homemade, and taste it. The peanut butter sauce went surprisingly well with the burger and had great flavor, and was a creamy consistency. The raspberry sauce was a little sweet for me, but paired well with the peanut butter. I was hesitant about ordering, but glad I did. Very tasty. The burger was served with house made chips that were good. If you like burgers, this is a great choice of restaurant. Service was friendly and prompt. Will be back.

I travel throughout Michigan for work. The Nest burgers are Top 3 in the state. Nay, Top 3 in all the lands that nibble upon a Great Lake. If you’ve got a hankering for a burger, The Nest will quench all your desires. Fact!

This place was amazing. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, and home made I might add. But the pet friendly atmosphere really did it in for us. If you’re looking for a great place to eat while out walking your pups, this is the place I would recommend!

A hidden gem! All food is house made. They have a generous menu and combinations you won't find anywhere else. The inside is cozy, staff very friendly and helpful. It is a bit pricier than other places, but well worth it!

I am going to sound a bit snobby but it is often hard to find decent food when on travel, especially in small towns. This was a solid choice and I would gladly come back. Had a cod sandwich, house made, with chips. Recommend.

A great local place for burgers. If there is one chance to eat at a place in Alpena, this is your best bet. I’d recommend any burger with bbq sauce as it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Decent prices, and great, friendly service. The truffle/garlic aioli fries were a hit at our table. The beer batter waffle fries were very crispy with the beer batter, which were divisive at our table. I’d recommend this restaurant if you’re in the mood for burgers. If you aren’t in the mood for burgers, you will be after you order one of these.

This place is a Gem. The food was amazing the waitress we had was amazing and the drinks delicious. I will most definitely be coming back again and again. I had the Alpena Philly and wow seasond perfectly the onions and peppers were grilled just right not too greasy. This Philly was just right. My lady had the chicken and waffle sandwich wow mindblowing. The coconut shrimp with the raz jam oh my if you are In the area I suggest you stop in and grab something off this amazing menu. We also had the pastrami fries 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋.

I got the 2 pc fish and fries. The fish was very good. I was Not impressed with the quantity of how much food I got for $18.00. I'm not a very big guy, I was hungry still after I left. The food was really good and the waitress was great at her job.

Do it!! The bacon wrapped jalapeños are outta this world. Wish I'd taken a photo. The burger was delightful and oh my yum, perhaps the best onion rings we'd ever had. Come here and eat if ur in Alpena!!

Great food, menu, appetizers, and burgers, cocktails, beer. My favorite Alpena restaurant. Small place, seats maybe 35 in winter, nice summer patio. Excellent service.

Definitely disappointing. The fish dinner was pretty average. Asked for utensils on a to-go order did not get any. Waited over 40 minutes for pickup order that was called in 10 minutes in advance. Owner was very rude and demanded to waitress I pay for water. Won't be coming back.

Food and service were good. For two with an app, burger and pulled pork, and drinks it was about 60. Small building with only about 8 ot 10 tables inside and maybe 6 out. Mixed drinks were..... else a 5 star.

As a gluten intolerant person, I’m thrilled to have such a great go to. They have gluten free buns and my juicy burger is the Brie Larson. Their homemade potato chips are fabulous. Some might worry about cross contamination, but I’ve not had any problems with them. Also, for a tasty bit of spice, the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers are lovely 🥳 Highly recommended

Small town restaurant, big time flavor. I saw reviews about the wait times for food and was even told in person. But decided to go anyway. Yes it can be aittle longer than we're used to but the food was great. Came out hot, nothing had to be sent back and it had both good taste and presentation. I opted for the chicken tenders because you can almost never go wrong with tenders. They were made in a way I had never seen with the accompanying sauce on the side, I'd say they were some of the best tenders I've ever had. The "HOO" fries were covered in garlic aioli and parmesan, I would have eaten just those by themselves. Service was polite and quick comparatively. Out waitress checked on us often and refills were prompt. The dining area was clean but. Little small but it's obviously a converted home so you can't be too picky. Plus they had back wrapped jalapeño poppers... is there really anything to complain about?
