Nice park to have a walk. A variety of trails to choose from. The bridge leading to the island is really nice. Lots of different trees in the park.

Found a rare summer bloomer called Ghost Pipe! Beautiful trails and a magnificent variety of wildlife.

My husband and I drove here to go fishing early morning during labor day weekend. It was nice and quiet. The water was shallow so we only got bluegills. At night there's no lights and you can hear some movement in the woods it can be pretty daunting. All in all, it's a nice place to hang out for a few hours.

This is such a beautiful sanctuary. I could easily lose hours here exploring. There is kayak rental and a launch to depart from, if you enjoy that sort of thing. The sound of traffic was negligible, if noticeable. There were plenty of flowers towards the beginning which gave opportunity to observe some insects.

I showed up in the early morning hours and it was absolutely quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed watching a family of swans as well as walking through various habitats. No bikes allowed on the island though bike rentals are available in the parking lot for other trails.

This is a beautiful walk. We saw a few swans, ducks and geese. There's a kayak and bike rental place in the parking lot. We didn't rent anything but the lady there was super nice and helpful.

Fishing is great and if u just want to go on a walk with ur Friends or wife or husband it's the place to be. Not to mention a kendziorski built the bridge going over it.

great "wilderness" city park, with several "mini biomes". several walking routes are on the island the longest is slightly under a mile. One of these paths is paved and handicap accessible; with the remainders being dirt paths sometimes improved with wood chips. These walks are quite, usally shady and always picturesque.

Great walk, all the family loved it had good information about the things in the park.

Great place to walk around, enjoy nature and get some good photos! Kayaking around here is pretty fun too!

Absolutely beautiful. Covered bridge is so nice. Great trails. So glad we made the trip.
