👍👍 Excellent experience at the Computer Museum of America. Learned just how much I don’t know about the history of computers. The space exhibit was unique because it told the story of the importance of computers in manned space flight. I’ll be back. There is so much More to learn. People often mention computers, museum, great, space, exhibits, history, computer, collection, visit, display,

This place was amazing and they had so much information about gaming plus computers. They had a lot of different parts to the exhibits and the space exhibit was really cool with how they show what happened during the Apollo mission!

First time here. My friend invited me to computer museum of America. I had a blast seeing everything from the past. The exhibit punch card we saw today was awesome. Had us all smiling and laughing. The presentation was great show to see. The presenter did great. He sure had our attention. The presenter/volunteer was so excited about his job. I loved how he shared his experience using the punch card. Way he should us how to read the punch card is almost how I read music. Thank you for having this place open to the public. I’ll be back soon.

However great you are imagining this place based on the descriptions, i can assure you it is twice as good as even that. I don't even know where to start on how incredible this museum is, but for example they have what is certainly the largest collection of Cray supercomputers in the world, including a Cray 2 they just got from NASA. And an actual Enigma electromechanical encryption machine used for encrypting military communications -- so rare that all known specimens are enumerated on wikipedia. There's a timeline collection of devices from mechanical pocket calculators to the walkman, to every ipod that ever came out. Original Robert Tinney artwork used in covers of Byte Magazine, all the original home computers from the Altair to the Apple I, Apple ][, the TRS-80s, a whole exhibit on computers that played major roles in movies, as well as original computers used to create Pixar movies. You have to see it to believe it.

Went by this past Friday and was blown away with just how much STUFF this place has. Amazing collection of supercomputers! Blew us away. The retro gaming section is so cool and I really can’t wait to go by when the cabinets are operating. That was the only thing that was remotely disappointing. Definitely recommend becoming a member if you live in the area. There’s too much for just one day! 10 stars!

A walk down memory lane! Wonderful exhibits from a full sized LEM replica, every copy of Byte magazine, Apple 1 boards, original ENIAC parts, every early microcomputer imaginable, an Enigma machine, to full sized main frames. This place has it all. Nice people running it too.

A hidden gem in Roswell! From the first Apple computer to the WWII Enigma machine to probably the world’s largest collection of Cray Super Computers, this was a fun find with interesting things for all in our group. Cool Apollo exhibit. Had no idea this was even here until today. Great date night or educational experience.

Great place for looking at the history of computing. Lots of old technology including Cray, PDP and IBM. A bit of space technology as well. Make sure you enter from the Commerce site as that is the main entrance.

This is an amazing place to visit and have a vents at. We were here for an event with the University of Alabama. Elaine was amazing she took care of every single detail and make sure we were never lacking for anything to do our work. We thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits and the friendly people. It was easy to get in and out of a parking was a breeze, can’t wait to go here again

The Computer Museum of America is a delight for everyone in the family. The items displayed here are fascinating. Even better, each item is so beautifully explained so that someone like me (a marketing person), our fourteen year old grandson and my nerd husband all found the descriptions satisfying. It's a large museum with a wide variety of exhibits, including a huge section on Seymour Cray, the development of the personal computer, NASA's trip to the moon, the Enigma machine, etc. There are interactive sections display that bring history to life.

This was a very amazing experience and trip though time! Definitely brought back many memories and I believe more people should visit and take a tour multiple times! Lots of computers and games still in tact from over the years! Even some are playable within COVID guidelines. This place was clean and neat and the staff was extremely nice and professional! Definitely coming back!

This is a computer geek's paradise... a group I am proud to belong in. A great variety of Crays and other super computers on display with excellent info graphics showing inner workings. Museum combines these machines along with various application presentations (videos) for meteorology and space. We were also impressed with the hands on activities using a variety of typewriters from decades to almost a century ago. This was a special setup so it may not be there on your visit. The volunteer guides in the museum are awesome. Enjoyed talking with Steve though all were very friendly. The amount of tech they have on display is awesome. Took a little over 2 hours to explore but it was not enough. I am sure to return in the future. Was told they have expansion plans to double in size over the next 3 to 5 years.

What a cool museum. As a Gen-Xer, it was really neat to go to a museum and see technology that I used growing up. We were there for a while and I still didn't have time to read everything they had on the signs. Lots of great information on the space program and super computers. I enjoyed showing my kids the typewriters they have on display right now. I forgot how hard you had to press on those old manual typewriters! This is a great museum, I highly recommend it!

This is a great museum and one that I will visit several times so I can take the time to read all the details of the exhibits. I loved the detailed timeline in the beginning of the museum and just the vast array of items in the different exhibits. This museum is a treasure and in a convenient location, I am so glad I finally went. Also, would be an interesting place for an event as they do have a ballroom. Also two classrooms for rent. A must see for all ages. Very well done!

Truly impressed by this museum. Far more exhibits than I imagined and they were all displayed very well. Lots of great info to read and the staff walking around was very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend if you're in to computers and/or space history.

Nice historical museum on computing..Had a good time explaining to my nephew the generations of computing and was good to have areas where he could actually touch and experience early computer games

SO DISAPPOINTING.. have waited 2 years to visit with College aged Grandsons —YOU ARE ALWAYS CLOSED when they visit !! You’re hours are awful & narrow. Please consider -especially during Summer with school vacations -having Daily hours 🥺

Me and my mother went here on a Sunday (June 4th, 2023) for a weekend activity. I am a huge technology enthusiast and I thought this would be a great place to go here since my birthday is coming up later this month. I was shocked at the abundance of old computers and gaming systems! There were Commodore machines, and Apple computers. A timeline of computer history displayed the different models of old computers, and I loved taking pictures by them. Additionally, there was a display inspired by the Apollo mission, which I thought was interesting. Alright, introducing Austin to this review. I cannot go over how I much I really liked his help on explaining the different functions of supercomputers to me. He was a huge help, and I had great fun talking to him. The gift shop was nice too, it had computer-inspired things in there. Overall, this place was amazing, I am definitely coming back here from Macon. It's a hidden gem of Georgia, and I would give this more than 5 stars if I can.

This is such a great gem hidden in Roswell! It has a diverse variety of very interesting exhibits - lots of interactive elements. We spent about 2 hours there and still didn’t fully explore the whole space. We will be coming back and bringing more people!

A really friendly, quiet environment. Very good detail on the exhibits. The lunar lander exhibit is something to behold and really informative. Would be great if there were more machines from the collection out on display, but I understand that takes specialist restoration work to achieve!

I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time, but the hours are very limited. Nice selection of old computers even some you can try out. The IBM electric typewriter was more fun than I expected. Lots of Cray supercomputers, lots!

The Jacquard Loom was the highlight! So cool. This museum was an awesome experience. I even got to do hands on demo with an old IBM card reader/punch. Super awesome the learn about the history of computing. Highly recommend.
