Very very tasty experience that lasts for about 2.5 hours. The choice of wine was great too. Overall cost is slightly on the expensive side, but its worth it for the whole experience. It was pretty quiet when we went on a Thursday but that means you get more attention. We also got a free sweet for a birthday too!

We ate here last weekend and were completely disappointed. We had high hopes, given everyone’s reviews however the food portions are absolutely tiny even for “fine dining” the flavours were very average and the wine pairings were very Average. I feel cheated at the price of the tasting menu and wine pairing. I really would not recommend going.

Hypha is a vegan dream! Beautiful food, lovingly prepared and different from all the rest. Small plates to share, giving you the opportunity to try many dishes. They use seasonal veggies too.

This is an amazing place , service and food 5 stars.... I never thought you could get the depth of flavour and taste from a vegetarian restaurant.... but they do it here. Amazing please survive the lockdowns so we can come back

Incredible, interesting food that is sure to intrigue and surprise you. Beautifully presented and so well balanced.. I love the new menu style with a Seasons Story - 10 course taster menu! Would recommend to anyone!

What an incredible restaurant. The attention to detail that goes into each dish is out of this world. The kombucha is a personal favourite and the frangipan dessert blew me away. Staff are brilliant and food even better.

Hypha not only shows that vegan food can be tasty; it elevates it into something sublime. The staff are passionate, enthusiastic and very friendly, which creates an excellent dining experience. There are some original cocktails on the menu and, to top it all off, it is not too pricey. Beyond outstanding.

We had the tasting menu. It was plate after plate of mind-blowing creativity and ingenuity, with masses of flavour, style, and know-how. I'ma meat eater, but an evening in here was a real treat, and an eye-opener. Highly recommended. Staff were excellent too.

Plant based dinner for two vegans and two omnivores- absolutely stunning. The tasting menu is just the right amount of food, cleverly interlinked by sustainable and themes and ideas. This season’s stand out dishes are the rye brioche, and almond labneh. Can’t wait to come back!

We had an excellent evening here. The staff were lovely and the food was stunning, especially combined with the "hard flight" wine selection. The staff also dealt with a mild garlic allergy by making some clever swaps on a couple of little things for my partner. All in all a wonderful evening and very interesting to hear about their "closed loop" system - nothing is wasted! Highly recommended

What a wonderful place to spend an evening. The food here is amazing. They do things with vegetables that I can only assume involves sorcery. Delicious doesn't do it justice and the service is also fantastic. Attentive without being overbearing, super friendly and with a touch of theatre to really take you on the journey they promise at the start of the night. I can't wait to go back again.

Food and wine most excellent.. joyous explosion of flavours. Ten course timing was perfect and satisfying. A mix of individual and sharing plates created a wonderful date night experience. Thank you Chef 👨‍🍳 Sommelier 🍷was very knowledgeable and excited about presenting fresh new and limited editions to suit the exciting courses.. Staff interaction some lovely banter with young tray holder and petite flour presenter.🧁 Main food presenter on our night seemed to be fed up: would walk off mid-answer to her questions, rolled her eyes walking away on one occasion.. Maybe 10 courses, same questions/script for each table is a little too mundane..?!! 🥱 No Barista soya milk for coffee, therefore had to have it black. ☕️ Decor in the restaurant is really pleasant, clean and fresh... 🌿 Beware of the bathroom, broken floor tiles and toilet 😳 Menu is selected by seasonal vegetables.. could definitely visit each season to be wowwed..! Awarded the new Michelin Green Star – Highlighting Sustainability in the Michelin 🍀 and well deserved.

Out of this world experience. Incredible front of house staff, absolute assets to the delivery of the service. Chefs are CRAFTSMEN and incredible artists. Do not look for others. This is the one.

Simply stunning! Hypha has a superb location, perched atop the city wall in Chester, yet close to the centre of town. The botanical themed decor with natural tones and plenty of wood is spot on. Imaginative, stylish contemporary lighting really sets the scene. This is basically my dream living space, but as a restaurant. Hypha is a vegan restaurant. I'm an omnivore, but didn't for one second feel that any part of my meal was lacking in any way. The menu sounds appetising from the outset and has a great selection of small plates, from which it's recommended to order 2 or 3 per person. As a group of 4, we ordered one of _everything_ on the menu and shared it all. We each had our favourites but loved everything. The drinks, often with a kombucha twist, are awesome too. I'd go here time and again... The mushroom patty burger; black sesame paprika potato croquettes and panzanella salad will be top of my order... and the roast cauliflower... and mac & 'cheese'...

A return visit, this time for a special occasion. As before, the food was exceptional. Inventive combinations, beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious. If ever you have considered going, don't hesitate, it's well worth it.

We have used Hypha for by far the best vegan Sunday roast in the past but 4 of us were really disappointed with the taster menu.(£70pp). Presentation was great, service good but tastes of courses were very samey, there were lots of seasonal vegetables that could have been used, squashes and greens etc, but it was all alot mushroom based dishes. The paired wine(£50pp) didn't enhance the food. as expected. for the sparkling wine of the hard flight

Cozy place, lovely food and super attentive service. They pay extra attention to one's dietary restrictions. I'd recommend getting a cocktail with kambucha or their beetroot lemonade, and roasted cauliflower.

Food that tastes like it's made with love. The best vegan restaurant I've been to, and very lucky that it's in Chester. I've learnt to make kimchi and kombucha with these guys, and most recently fermented foccacia. Please put on more classes!
