    Petco grooming did an Awesome job on my dog. Couldn't be happier with the outcome and how beautiful my dog looked once she was done. They were prompt, courteous and had my dog ready when promised

    This is for Max in the doggie salon. They did a great job with my little Vada. She is a very hard doggie to work with. Max displayed caring patience and true professionalism. I will bring Vada back if Max doesnt mind.🙂

    Dr. Hopkins all about money ,I didn’t have a positive experience at this place, I would took my dog there thinking that it would be affordable and I thought it would’ve been a good fit but that wasn’t the case. They reschedule my original appointment at last minute, I get a second for next day at 8:15 am nurse was running late , on top she said the doctor on chargeto spay my dog wont be there that day and will reschedule for next Wednesday. 2 hours late Dr . Hopkins call me with a different argument. They charged me for the things I I call them several times and no one was available to pick up the phone was unaware off and on top of it they wouldn’t give me her paperwork at the end of the appointment and it took them forever to email me her results SO PLEASE IF YOU LOVE YOUR FURRY ONE AND YOUR WALLET DONT GO TO VETCO IN RIVERHEAD!!!

    If I could give negative review I would. I called these people and talk to a woman who do grooming I asked her a question about my puppy having dust fleas she recommended a flea bath and also told me if she give her a flea bath and it burns she will have to put her down meaning kill her unbelievable I called a vet hospital for animals they couldn't believe Petco would tell me something like that with that being said I feel they are not to be trusted

    I took my puppy for his grooming appointment. Jose did a good job of frooming my puppy, Gucci. It just takes so much time, though...almost 5 hours. And there is NO waiting area! The store was clean, but the mats at the front doors needs cleaning because I could smell and order coming from them. Staff is friendly, helpful and patient. The store is well organized. I also take my puppy there for his Vet Doctor visits.

    Friendly staff and cool number of pets in there. The tanks and displays were a bit dirty but it’s all good. The glofish were cool to see. There’s plenty of dog food options in the back. They have a bunch of reptiles and amphibians in the center too. The birds were reallly active and curious too

    My go-to for cat treats or new toy when I'm returning amazon packages next door. Prices are slightly on the higher end. The staff is very attentive and are ready to help. For pet food or other large items, Amazon is still the way to go for cheaper prices.

    They do a good job on grooming my baby. He’s big and strong and they don’t seem fazed by him at all. Always comes home smelling good and they don’t charge extra for the fact he has 25 nails to be trimmed :-)

    It was very good! I needed the Frontline ASAP and was so pleased to get it so quickly. I also appreciated the discount available for order online and pickup. While I was there I decided to try a new brand of cat food for my cats. I think one of the tubes was defective however. Not your fault. When I tried to get the liquid onto my cat nothing came out. I took it to the sink and pressed the tube again and the liquid shot out! I was glad that didn't happen on my cat. This has to be done slowly. Anyway, thank you.

    To say I am impressed is an understatement. From the lady who checked my dog in to the technicians who are both so helpful ,caring and knowledgeable to finally the Dr who went so far above and beyond explaining everything and helping me to understand some of the medical information so I could fully understand everything. Each and every person was exceptional . But I have to admit the lady who checked us in actually remembering my dog and what we discussed weeks ago when I was in the clinic was so impressive. All I can say is the staff and Dr are all excellent at there jobs. I have told friends and family just how good they are !!!!!!

    Took my 5 month old shih tzu to his first grooming appointment with Dawn and let me tell you how upset I was. She said she would trim around the eye area but it look so ugly uneven on side had longer hairs then the other was not worth my $80 also my puppy came out with cherry eye I was scared I didn’t know what that was and when I asked they lady that handed him to me went to the back to ask Dawn and came back saying it was because he was stressed out but this lady Dawn never came to address the situation no customer service what so ever I wanted to know if he had been okay for his first time if he had stayed calm but how could I ask if she was hiding in the back I’m so unsatisfied with the job done Dawn you should really stop grooming dogs period!

    I had a great experience there yesterday. My senior cat has to go on a keto diet so I was picking up some food and I happened to see a self cleaning litter box but I had a few questions about it. A lady name Skylar was very helpful in assisting me with the pricing and locating my rewards account. The gentleman at the register was extremely helpful and friendly as well. Take all my money Petco.. because if your staff is going to be this good then I'm just going to keep coming back. Great job guys!

    I was there for about 40 mins looking good someone to help me as I couldn't find what I was looking for so I got in line to ask the cashier and she didn't know where anything was, so I left and just wasted my time there. Went elsewhere and I was on and out with what I needed. I will give it a 3 because it was open and thr cashier really did try to answer my question but she couldn't leave the register, but they need more workers or someone needs to make sure the workers are actually on the floor helping people out

    The guy that handles the reptiles/exotics, Tyrus, (?) is really awesome. First off, all of the reptile enclosures look clean and the animals look healthy. Second, he was able to give me information on the tarantula I was purchasing regarding his personality and how long he had been at the store. Third, I asked if this tarantula in particular kicked hairs, and actually handled him in front of me to test whether he did or not. He was also able to give me more info on the overall pain of certain species of tarantulas hairs, which I was not aware of. This was really beneficial to me, as he was sacrificing his own comfort for my question (getting hairs kicked on you is irritating for your skin). Fourth, he selected and assembled the T’s terrarium. Overall I had an extremely positive experience for my first time purchasing a tarantula (can’t really vouch for any of the other departments, as I haven’t purchased anything recently). I know that sometimes things can be iffy with big box pet store employees, because they can know things about a few animals but maybe not the ones you’re looking at, but Tyrus is extremely knowledgeable about Ts and judging by the enclosures of the other animals, most likely also very knowledgeable about the care of everyone else.

    The cashier was awesome,respectful,Patient and really amazing. She deserves a raise if I’m not mistaken her name is Janeth. She helped us with our ferret and all the products. Also I think her name is ahley or Stephanie was also great and respectful really helpful both of them

    I signed up for the vital care months ago, before the clinics opened. Let me tell you, best decision I've made. My dog has a fistula that was not improving despite several rounds of treatment with his vet clinic which brought cost over $1,000. I decided to get a second opinion and take advantage of the vetco clinic. Dr. Beard was an essential piece to my dogs recovery! We are 2 weeks in with his new medication and almost all his lesions are gone and he is doing so much better! The vet techs were so great with my GSD and helped keep him safe while having his exam. It was also so much more affordable than his private vet which helps get the best care for your pet without having to overpay for great service. Max and I thank the vetco team at North Riverside for a fantastic job!

    Went in on a Sunday (weekends are busy, I get it). The line (about 9-12 people deep the entire time I was there) at grooming station was blocking the entire front of the store. Poorly executed line management due to a lack of anyone but 2 employees to run one retail register and one behind the groomig register. There was urine and feces in a few isles, one employee saw and walked right past. Extremely low toy selection for dogs and stale looking treats.

    The vets and vet techs at the clinic at this location are great. They’ve been very helpful this week with my diabetic cat and very well informed about the process of international travel with a pet.

    Normally I don’t write reviews, however i’ve waited over 30 mins to receive my curbside pickup. I am just as much as a customer as the ones inside & should be assisted at a promptly matter.. Never ever will i shop at this location!

    I usually never have a problem with this location however on a busy Friday after picking my kids up from school and needed to get cat food for my cats and both of my children needed to use the restroom 1 employees said to get a key and was told that they were not going to be allowed to use the restroom I don't understand it's a public place and I get that it's that a public restroom but I can't even shop in your store when I have 2 kids that need to use the washroom. I ended up buying the wrong thing because I got the run around from an employee weren't allowed to use the washroom all the while the kids needed to urgently use the restroom so it doesn't make any sense for you not to allow your customers to use your restroom if you want us to make purchases especially if we have children that need to use the washroom. need to start shopping at petsmart if that's how they treat their customers.

    This store has the worst layout ever. It is so cramped in there, the aisles are only 1 person wide. There are piles of stock just sitting on carts in the aisles and not actually stocked on the shelves. The selection of products is terrible as well. Literally any other pet store has a better selection.

    Took my dog to the vet for the second time for what I think is some allergy on her paws. The first time I was given a cream for what the vet said was burns from hot concrete.. I returned because there was no improvement. This time the emphasis was she was missing vaccinations, eating wrong dog food and what could possibly be an auto immune condition that would require steroids and she needed to be spayed. I know these places are all about upcharges but nothing was for what I brought my dog in for. I didn't even understand how $120 for blood work for a prescription because I would have to wait on results. I am a heath care worker and didn't appreciate being scared into the absolute worst case scenario on what could be wrong with my dog. Trust your gut and don't pay for anything extra. Then I get email stating it is some dermatitis but I wasn't given a prescription and she didn't know what it was while we were in the office but knew after we left. Shame on you Petco. I expect professionals to recognize skin conditions. She didn't even want scraping of cells from her paws that would of made sense of something that I may be willing to pay for. So now my dog has to wait a month to see her usual vet for annual visit. Pet owner beware its about money here.

    I came to return an aqueon 50 pump, to exchange for another one. It has a lifetime warranty. I had done so in the past with no problem. They said the policy changed, in the meantime one of my fish had died because they said I had to go through the manufacturer now, which I have also done and my pump is being replaced. So what, now you don't want to go through the paperwork?! I thought you were in a "pet care" business. This is not pet care. No suggestions were made. I ended up buying an air stone which I am using in the meantime and it is working until I get my pump from the manufacturer, which you could have easily done. I've done a lot of shopping here over the years, I don't think I will be doing any more in the future. I will go out of my way to go somewhere else. Thank you for nothing.

    The person that waited on me was very nice and I mean nice my petco card had money on it but it said declined he waited until I got another card it was 4 customers behind me he called for back up the came to help him because I had a situation
