I was referred to this office by my primary care physician for follow up for an abnormal test. They are supposed to be “one of the best”. NOT!!! It only took them 2-1/2 months to get my paperwork correctly submitted for a Cologuard test after I did all the legwork to find out the proper coding to get test approved by my insurance. I have NEVER been able to speak with a live person at this office without leaving a message. As it says on the voicemail system, “...we’ll get back to you when WE have the time.” DON’T waste your time here - go somewhere else.

I've visited office once when I got out of hospital. They referred me to a different doctor so I had to get my medical records from the hospital myself instead of them getting it much faster and contacting the doctor they referred me too. Then the latest is I called for a refill of my prescription because I've ran out. They tell me the doctor is denying my refill because of not testing. I was not asked to take any kind of test

I should've read the reviews....I had a 2pm appointment. Arrived at 1:40 to complete paperwork. They called me back at 2:20 to do vitals. I left at 2:55 without seeing the doctor (Kasher.) Only then was I told "you're next, we only have four rooms that the doctors share" Sounds like overbooking to me. Guess I have to go to Beverly Hills or West LA for quality service. Hopefully they don't try to charge me for services I never received!

Pretty bad. I saw John Kasher in June and it was the most useless doctor’s appointment of my life. I tried to schedule with another doctor and they said they don’t “allow” patients to switch doctors. After that, I got a call from an Angie saying she’ll try to figure something out for me then left me hanging and I never heard from her again.

The nurse practitioner Jackob Sahakian was very pleasant but never stopped talking even when I tried to ask a question. It all felt very scripted and disconnected. Luckily it was just an intake visit, otherwise I would be concerned that he had no idea how to advise me on treatment or procedures. Listening is vital when dealing with a patient.

Called to let them know I'd be three minutes late to the 2:00 appointment I'd been waiting a month for. They said I've have to reschedule because my appointment was at 1:30. I told them I had an email confirmation saying 2:00. They then switched to "You have to be here at 1:30 for your 2:00 appointment, as per your consult." Only problem is I've never had a consultation with them, they didn't mention this when they booked the appointment, none of the emails mention anything about this, and they didn't bother to call me ahead of time to confirm the appointment. And of course, the next available appointment was another month away. The negative reviews for this place are legit. Steer clear. This place sucks.

I called a month ago and gave my Medicare info for a routine colonoscopy. Saw Kristina the nurse practitioner for an initial visit but never saw a doctor. Didn’t mind that. Was placed with Dr Kasher. The prep fluid they prescribed was tier 3, about as expensive as you can get. A few days before the procedure the office called and said my insurance was invalid. After hours of phone calls to UHC (who said I was covered) the doctor’s office told me the procedure center (which they own) was out of network and that it would cost me nearly $500 .Doctor was in plan but not his facility. I have no idea if I would have been charged above Medicare for labs and more. I’m going elsewhere. Be careful.

4-2-23 I have left 2 voicemails and 1 personal message to get a pin # and it is IMPOSSIBLE! No one knows how to do it. I have been waiting for 4 days. Now I have left a message for the manager at the Burbank office. Do you think I’ll get a call back? Why do they offer a portal but no one can give you a pin? Sad. Dr. Fisher and Associates need to get professional people working for them or not offer a portal. IMO. Staff is very aggressive and misleading. Of course you can be a few minutes late as “The Doctor” or “Doctors” always run late. We wait for them don’t we?

This review is regarding the front desk and the front Desk only. Granted I was late to my appointment which I understand but I tried to call and see if I could still even be seen but the phones don’t start operating until 8:30am which makes no sense to me. I drove close to 2 hours to get to the appointment in Burbank with an NP because the original provider I wanted to see didn’t have any openings until later this year. I arrived about 25 mins late and the front desk receptionist was completely rude and said that there’s nothing she can do for me and this other lady wearing Orange scrubs just stared at me the whole time as I tried to ask if I could get another appointment. The front desk receptionist went from saying there’s no availability ever to getting me appointment this same week with another provider? I am a healthcare provider in the emergency room where it’s a high stress environment and we don’t act this unprofessional. I don’t know if the front desk lady is unhappy with herself and takes it out on others but it’s sad. I honestly don’t want to return to Insite Digestive because of this.

The doctor has great bedside manner. Explained everything in great detail. He was patient with my questions. I was able to fill out forms before online which saved time. They gave me a listing of what needs to be done for prep and went over it with me

I have called them three times in a week to get help with a prescription and the only time I've been able to talk to someone is through the emergency line. The doctors are good, but the office is so unhelpful!

Not helpful. It took hours on the phone just to leave a voicemail requesting an appointment. A frantic rep called me back at the end of the next day trying to brush me off to their Pas office which didn't take my insurance. I almost had to yell to stop her. Finally made an appntmt 2 months out, which they later canceled and rescheduled 2 weeks after the initial appntmnt. At the appointment itself I had to wait for an hour in a tiny room with no fresh air or circulation. The doctor seemed in very poor digestive health himself. If he can't heal himself as a GI doc, he really shouldn't be in business. Instead of addressing common sense nutrition, holistic healing, wellness, habits, and daily digestion solutions, he tried to rush me into an unneeded medical procedure that would have caused more problems by interrupting digestion through sedation, and then an oddball lab test he didn't explain. He tried to get me to go back to my primary care doc to write the referral for the lab test. I told him that he was the GI doc and he should write it if he recommended it.... 🙄 Do your job John Kasher. Since the doc or office didn't give me any lab paperwork upon exit I called to find out about the lab test and they couldn't take my call or return my voicemail. I had to call them again 3 days later. Dysfunctional. I won't be returning. Zero sense of integrative medicine, nutrition, herbs, and diet basics and feels like he's not doing his job, brushing off patients without helping them, and pushing expensive procedures for generating income. I'm doing much better myself through youtube research, Louise Hay and the book Healthy Healing: an Alternative Healing Reference by Linda Rector Page. Try UCLA integrative med and naturopathy too for ideas.

I don't know what happened to my previous review. Do not go to this "Doctor." Waste of money and time. It's been over 1 year since I saw this doc and my bills are all paid, which was hell with them. And they're calling me back now harassing me again. Do not do business, especially your health with this scam.

I am a patient of Dr. Alexanian and love this office and the service I receive whenever I go there! Dr. Alexanian is kind, caring, patient and incredibly perceptive. I can't say enough go things about him- I always feel that he has my best interests at heart and is an excellent GI doctor. He never rushes his appointments, takes all the time I need to have things explained to me and always had a course of action. Being under his care make me feel secure when it comes to GI issues. The staff here is also excellent- from the front desk, to scheduling to his nurse Martha- they are all amazing! thank you!

While doctor Alexanian is very competent and good at explaining things, getting in to see him is a Herculean effort. The responsiveness on the patient portal is laughable and they do not take the self reporting of patients seriously. When my insurance denied an antibiotic because of pre authorization it took a month for them to give me an alternative antibiotic and I had to constantly remind them to try and fight for the insurance for the prescribed drug, I still do not know if they made more than the barest of efforts. They didn’t even offer or suggest to me the breath test that found bacterial overgrowth until after I’d had a gastric emptying study, an upper endoscopy, and scheduled a colonoscopy. The breath test is a simple take home kit they could have offered on my first visit with symptoms in February. They did not offer it until April 1st. Their lab also had not run the test until I called to prompt them to so that the results would be ready for the one teledoc appointment I was able to get with doctor Alexanian to go over my results even though I had personally delivered it a week prior. I have been in pain, lost work, and been forced to move because of this illness all of which I kept them aware of but did not seem to elicit any urgency from them in terms of my care. They need to manage their time and patient volume better so that they can give proper care. Choose another doctor they cannot help you.

Kristina, the nurse practitioner seemed a little rushed during my visit. She did not connect with my problem. She was quick to leave.

Scheduling an appointment took way too long. Though most places my insurance cover was the same. Waiting time to see the doctor. Was also way too long. Perhaps he was very busy. Other than that everything else was excellent. The time the doctor spent with me. And all the answers to my questions. As well as recommendation and information on that. Highly recommend. The staff very attentive accurate considerate polite.

NP Jakob Sahakian was friendly, knowledgeable and patient during the consultation. The office was also well-organized and all contacts with the staff from the receptionist to the nurse to the scheduler and billing were friendly and helpful.

Dr Alexanian and his staff are amazing! I've personally had horrible experiences with specialists since I'm typically younger than their regular clientele. I also have anxiety in medical settings. Dr Alexanian and his staff put me at ease, listened to me and took me seriously. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!!

My husband saw them in early August and was told they would call in 3 days to schedule his procedure. 5 phone calls later from me and they still have not called back. I called at 11:25 a.m. and was told they were closed till 1 for lunch. Lazy lazy people.

Jacob the NP was very pleasant and thorough during my initial consult. I have a very complicated health history and he took copious notes and explained everything in regards to my colonoscopy. He was awesome!!

The receptionist was clearly having a bad day and decided to take it out on me when I called the office. I was greeted with hostility that just increased until the short call ended. Have had good experiences with the doctors and other support staff in the past, so this was a very unwelcome surprise.
