Dr. Luong is a straight shooter, no BS in a humane understanding, compassionate way and wont charge for unnecessary treatment. He's treated all our psychos for years and can depend on him for top quality treatment.

My lab had an inflammation behind his dew claw. Two different vets prescribed antibiotics but they didn't help. Dr. Luong suggested removing the dew claw and having a biopsy. Sure enough, it was cancer. The biopsy report said there were good margins (enough tissue removed so all the cancer was removed). We followed up with blood work every six months and he is has been fine. I look forward to many more years with my fur baby.

Dr. Leung has taken care of my dog and cats since I was 12 years old. My family had a hard time finding someone we could trust with our loved ones. Dr. Leung has cared for our pets as if they were his own. Dr. Leung has helped deliver care to my pets as I’ve aged into adulthood and experienced financial hardships. Dr. Leung has a big heart and unlike other animal hospitals, he administers the care the animal needs instead of trying to make unwarranted profit off of clients. No appointment needed, walk ins welcome. The wait time to be seen is under 15 minutes on average and the atmosphere is quiet friendly. There is no veterinarian like Dr. Leung and I would travel hours to see him. Come by and see the difference for yourself.

I don't usually do reviews, but this "hole in The Wall" as the last person who reviewed this vet so eloquently put it, is a top notch vet.and unlike the unappreciative rude lady,I will only go to This vet, because the ZIP code,or structure does not determine the service that you will receive, it's the people inside of it, and the people inside this place are caring and competent, I highly recommend,

I'm always skeptical about taking my puppy anywhere as he can be very nervous around new people. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the office as well as the kindness shown by all staff members. I did not make an appointment and was seen promptly. I told Dr. Luong about my dogs issue with fleas. He checked him and said he'd prescribe something that would help immensely. I've had no luck with any preventive measures thus far so I wasn't sure it would work. Within hours of giving my puppy the medication he was virtually flea free!!! I'm so appreciative to this vet as he was not only understanding of our situation but also made me feel like he actually cared by talking to me without rushing me in and out like most vets I've seen. Dr Albert Leung is a very caring and knowledgeable Veterinarian. You may have to wait a little but he takes his time with everyone and he doesn’t make you feel rushed or a number. The staff is so nice and I recommend Alamitos Animal Hospital whenever I get the chance.

Dr. Luong is the best bet in the area. His prices are reasonable and he is honest about his suggestions, he doesn't suggest unreasonable or unnecessary testing or labs. He takes care of all of our pets and I refer all of my pet owning friends to him. Could not recommend him more highly.

It was so lucky to find these guys! I work just a few doors down on gardener boulevard Lord so I was looking for a convenient location to bring our new kitten in for shots and fleet medication lead medication and there was Alamitos Animal hospital. The way they are set up is so convenient they don't require you to set up an appointment for weeks or days and months in advance. You just show up at the clearly defined service times and they take really good care of you. I don't think I waited over 20 minutes paperwork and all included to be in a room with the Doctor on either visit. Doctor Albert is always very polite very thorough and I don’t feel like he tried to “Upsell” anything to me. He treated Oreo (our new kitten) and got us out right away! When you're looking for a vet keep in mind that most people only see a vet in bad circumstances so reviews maybe a little jaded. There are even some harsh reviews on the yelp page here but what I what I experienced was nothing less than great service and polite treatment by everybody involved. I didn't price shop for the cheapest vet or anything like that because honestly this is a new family member and I'm not worried about the cost but in the end it was fairly reasonable and we are going back today for Oreos 3rd set of shots.

I have been to this vet office three times for my cat. Every single time it turns out to be a pleasant experience. The doctor is always spot on with his diagnosis and everything he's ever prescribed has worked perfectly. The Doctor is sensitive to the fact that it's a cat and it's a little traumatizing to bring them into a vet office. I have never had to wait very long at all to see the doctor. His prices are reasonable. I love this veterinary office I highly recommend it..

I thought I reviewed this place a long time ago but apparently never did. This is the only vet I have known about for years whose amount of caring has never diminished, and has probably even increased. Many vets reputation and motivation seems to slip after decades, but this place never has! When another vet refused to remove the stiches that they themselves put on my dog, this place removed them. When I went to pay, he said it was okay and not needed. I had been so worked up previously about the vet I went to prior that this act of kindness completely shined bright in my mind and was so greatly appreciated. Thanks for caring about our pets!

I picked a good time to walk in for an emergency for my cat to be seen the vet. Very grateful and staff is helpful and nice. Vet was very nice and chill. Got my questions answered 😌 it was worth it. Knowing my main vet place was so booked to see the vet and I couldn't wait other day.

I liked that they have walk ins as most vets are booked on same day appointments (why I went here). I waited two hours in my car for my dog to be seen for a torn nail and the place is a hole in the wall but the Dr is pretty good. I wouldn't use this place as my regular vet but it's good if you need something last minute.

We like this place, it's closed to home, Dr. Leung is good and very patient with us everytime we visit.

Dr. Leung is a great doctor. We will always use him for our veterinary needs. Also it looks as if someone is decorating the office so nicely! I would recommend to any one.
