It is difficult for me to adequately describe how much of a positive impact the Martial Arts Center for Health has had on my life. About 18 months ago, I had surgery on my knee to repair a torn ACL and meniscus. I struggled with my recovery despite going to physical therapy. I found myself having great difficulty walking up and down stairs. I could not walk for fun any more and I would often be completely unable to walk without severe pain after a work shift. In January, I joined the Martial Arts Center for Health to try to get my life back. Since the first day, I have felt welcomed by both the instructors and the other students. The classes are challenging but fun and rewarding. And, this past week, I was able to climb 115 feet worth of stairs to reach the top of the Mayan temple pictured. I would never have been able to do this without the help of my instructors. I have no doubt that they will be able to help me reach any goal I set for myself!

The best thing I did for myself this year is finding Martial Arts Center for HealthThis is the best thing I have done for mental, physical and overall health. I was interested in Tai Chi and saw that they also offer Kung Fu, Self Defense and qigong. I was surprised how much I fell in love with going to class and how badly my body needed going. It has truly been life changing and have great respect for the instructors who are very very caring, passionate super qualified and very knowledgeable. They all have been the best support and I feel very lucky to go such a place with so many caring people. I made some friendships that mean so much to me from all different walks of life and enjoy everyday I go to class. I am so much more flexible than when I first started and have noticed small positive changes to my body. I am able to concentrate so much more and even picked up old hobbies since I been really working on my discipline and concentration and this has helped tremendously. Every time I go to class I come out feeling better and proud of myself to have gone. I was taking anti anxiety medication earlier this year and made the personal choice of getting off and this has helped my anxiety so much. I love learning about all the breathing techniques and qigoing practice as well. I still have a long way to go and can’t wait to see what the new year brings. If any friends or family or acquaintances have any questions please reach out- best decision I made for sure. They have a flexible schedule, offer private classes, group classes and kids classes too!

I am someone who has cared about my fitness my whole life. I have practiced Yoga and Cross Fit amongst others. I have to say that the experience the I get at the Martial Arts Center for Health is next level! It is the truest full body program incorporating mind body and soul, similar to Yoga. The biggest difference and advantage over yoga is the pace and intensity. This is do to the instructors expertise level (they all have over 20 yrs experience). They are seamlessly able to have you develop at a pace that suits you while helping you to look deep inside to find the intensity to challenge yourself and go to the next level.

I never thought private lessons online would make as big of a positive impact as it has on my overall well-being. Now with over 30 lessons under my white belt I have noticed a significant increase in strength, flexibility, and coordination as well numerous mental and emotional benefits. The teachers are fantastic and will personalize lessons to your individual fitness level. I highly recommend trying a few lessons online or in person if you are in the area. Best decision I have made in years.

I trained in several other martial arts, but stopped because I began to hurt myself more than I was improving myself. What MACH offers is special because when I look around the class, the people that are older than me are able to do more than me. I'm finding that my capabilities are improving and I'm excited by each new thing that I learn as I begin to progress through the levels.

When I saw Martial Arts Center for Heath move in my community, I was very excited. I sent a msg on a Sunday and that same day Scott (Instructor) called me and gave me all the information needed and Invited me to participate in the class. I've been wanting to attend a Martial Art classes for a long time, but I didn't want the traditional martial art classes usually in every community since I've already experience Tai Chi before. For my surprise Martial Arts Center for Health focus physically, mentally, and spiritually with Tai Chi, Qiqong, meditation, self defense if you want to participate and a few more. The Center is a safe place for everyone-spiritually and physically. I have MS and this has been an amazing experience for me specially on the physical part. I've had my ups and downs, but with the compassion and guidance always of Scott, Matt and Jim, I'm happy to say, is going to be a year now on 1/19 I've been taking the classes and I will continue to do so. OH! and the classes at the beach! AMAZING! can't wait for the next one. Try it, you will Love it!

"I highly recommend this program! My son has benefitted from it in so many ways! He's been attending this center for 7 years and will be getting tested for black belt soon. He started in the kids class and then transferred to the adult class. I myself attended their adult classes for about 3.5 years and loved it! It was especially lots of fun to do it alongside my son and practice self defense together. After 3.5 years I had to move out of the area and couldn't continue, but I'm still practicing at home on my own, not as diligently though 😆 This program is unlike any other. For my son I liked how it wasn't all about who's the strongest, fastest, or who can do the most push ups. In this martial arts center it's all about developing coordination, discipline, body and mind awareness, connection between the body and brain, getting stronger more in the endurance kind of way versus simply growing bigger muscles, and what's important - doing it all at your own pace, without feeling even tiny bit of guilt or shame for not being as good as others."

I am new to MACH classes. I began on August 8, 2022. After covid is when I noticed how lethargic and unmotivated I had become. This is when I realized that the word “feeble” was the perfect word to describe me at age 70. I want and need to be stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally for myself, my disabled husband, my kids and six grandchildren. As I begin my third month I already feel stronger physically and mentally with better stamina. I can’t say enough good things about our instructors knowledge, kindness, and patience. If you are looking for a complete experience, I would encourage you to try Martial Arts Center For Health.

Been apart of this community for 4 years. I began because of severe mobility limitations and chronic pain from a spinal injury. I could barely walk when I started and now I easily move and enjoy an active lifestyle. The support here is incredible. With them I’ve learned how to take good quality care of my body, respect her, & adapt any movement to keep my body safe and strong. Plus, I’ve gained a sport and hobby that is so enriching and fun! Now my son practices too in their kid program and he’s learning self control, self respect and discipline. Again it’s fun too and we enjoy sharing martial arts. Can’t recommend this enough,
