Today I drove 22 miles from St. Louis to Godfrey, Illinois to visit the last remaining Mister Donut in North America! Founded in 1956 by the brother in law of the man who started Dunkin' Donuts, the last remaining shops in America and Canada all closed around 2006 or converted to Dunkin. Mister Donuts are still big in Japan where they are featured in a popular anime. This particular Donut shop was opened in 1980 and still has the vibrant orange retro color scheme popular with the brand. These donuts are all absolutely amazing and if you call yourself a Donut lover than you need to take a pilgrimage to the last Mister Donut in North America! . I suspect Mister Donut has been pushing out delicious donuts for quite some time. I suspect Mister Donut is going to keep on pushing out them delicious donuts for quite some time. Prices are low. Service is excellent. So go on and get you some low cost, high quality donuts.

Excellent donuts. coffee & service. I did not realize this Mister Donut is the only one left in the United States of America!!! They informed me Japan has many Mister Donut stores & they get visited quiet often from people from Japan to have their picture taken with the current retired career Navy owner, Caesar Blanco. Thank you, Caesar, for your military service & for taking on a new adventure of giving people happiness with making Donuts.

Great place! Great customer service my wife and I felt like we knew them already. I just missed the biscuit and gravy so I will try that too. We definitely will be back. They hooked us up for our breakfast time before work yummy

Great donuts but the sandwiches are a hit and miss. Once in awhile I order bacon egg and cheese croissant. I ask if they can make the bacon crispy. About 60 percent of the time it is perfect other times it looks like a warmed up frozen breakfast sandwich from Walmart. It has no crisp and I’m sure would stick on a wall if thrown.

Did you know that this is the last Mister Donut in the COUNTRY? We are truly lucky to have this little gem in our hometown. Everything is amazing that they make here, but you can't leave without trying the basic honey dip donut. The staff are always so sweet and the place reminds you of an old diner you would see in the movies. Grab some donuts to go, or stay and eat a full breakfast with the local folk.

I'm a local and come to get donuts as often as I can. It is my FAVORITE donut place of all time for sure. Only because of the donuts, and Cesar (one of the owners). Just bought a dozen and a half donuts yesterday. They had an abundance of my favorite (vanilla angel)...so I excitedly bought 8 of those. Such disappointment.. whoever filled those donuts that morning did not do a good job. Hardly any filling in them what-so-ever. I will say the lady that waited on me was pleasant and friendly. Usually not the case, most of those ladies are lacking customer service.

I've been coming to Mister Donut for a long time now and have been more of a regular customer recently. Amazing donuts, plus other food items like breakfast sandwiches. Service is always great and everyone is very polite. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.
