My daughter and myself wanted to take my sister and neice for a new experience. That it was! Absolutely the worst ever. No pizza No chicken. We got jo jos nice and hot that was it. Every table was dirty. The dishes were stacked but not a single clean table. We moved stuff from 1 table to another and used a napkin to wipe it. The floor looked like a weeks worth of food and garbage. We understand shortage if help but things can be better. If stuff doesn't get clean a good manager would stay and do it. At least apologize for it. We managed to get some pizza and chicken that was terrible before we left. We have been there many times but this was our last. Price for this was a joke.

The employees are some nice people. The kid who rang us up was very helpful, and very quick with the register. They seem to be understaffed, as almost every time I come here he is going back and forth between restocking the salad buffet and helping the people at the front, as well as a multitude of other things. One time I came here, there was a woman doing all of that as well as restocking the pizza! I don't know why the crew is so small, but I know it can't be easy having to spread yourself thin like that due to an understaffed kitchen, despite this, they all are very good at keeping up, falling a little behind sometimes, but they always bounce back in no time. They have the BEST chicken in town. I can't stress enough how good it is, if there's any reason I keep coming back it's definitely the chicken. If there's a pizza you want that isn't on the buffet, you can just ask for one and get it sent right to your table for free, and you can even get stuffed crust! The guy who served us our pizza was very kind too. They have some unique stuff here you won't find at many places, like mac n cheese pizza, dessert pizza, taco pizza, etc Overall they provide a very unique and enjoyable experience at a very good price. As far as potential improvements go, I would say the area between the double doors when you first come in could be touched up, they said the coffee has been broken for some time and to fill a cup you have to push the button a lot, and they don't label the decaf coffee so you can't really tell which is which, they only have one trashcan in the main area and it's a tiny one by the pop machine, and I was only able to get ice cream once in the 6 times I've been. Again, understaffing crates a lot more issues than most people realize, I just figured these are worth mentioning, as the employees have shown that they are very understanding of their customers when something goes awry or when there are potential improvements and are good at coming up with solutions. And I said it before and I'll say it again, the best chicken in town is found at pizza ranch.

Tables were dirty as all hell. My parents, My fiance and I were there for my daughters birthday and we had 2 dirty tables. Not happy. Another customer told us to have fun finding a clean table. The salad bar was disgusting. The dressing bottles were grimy and greasy. The pizza wasn't cut the right way. Or all the way through. My mother is really not happy. She wants to turn you guys in. She won't keep quiet. Change this or it will go further. But the food was fine.

It is great when they actually have food out. Last two times I met folks for lunch here there was no pizza out. Literally no food left. They did not plan well at all for a noon rush. Not worth the money if there isn’t any food.

Needs a deep clean. Everywhere you look, things need cleaning or repairing. The Poweraide from the drink machine came out foamy??? Ice cream machine down. Floor dirty etc. The worst was the salad dressing bottles (see picture.) If this is what is displayed to the customer, what does the kitchen look like? My kids LOVE Pizza Ranch, hopefully management can get this place whipped into shape.

Pizza Ranch is one of our favorite spots. They have an endless supply of hot delicious pizza, fried chicken, huge salad bar, and the dessert pizzas. You never know what kind of variety will be on display and you can make a request at time time! Reasonable price for all you can eat. Tuesdays kids eat free. (For each paying adult, you get a free kid.) They do close Monday-Friday from 2 to 4pm. We walked in about 130pm, they let us stay and enjoy even during their closing time. Great service, staff are watchful of when new pizzas need to be brought out or when plates need clearing from the tables. All around very clean including the bathrooms. We love the Pizza Ranch!

The Good. Chicken is very good. The mash potatoes as well. The bad. The pizza is very lacking. For the buffet price it should taste better then $2 frozen pizza. Like most places, they are short staffed since the pandemic.

This was my second time visiting this Pizza Ranch, and it was worse than my first time here. The plates were so cold, that my food cooled off before I could get it eaten. The pizza variety was very poor. The ham on the Hawaiian pizza was chopped so small I couldn't really tell what kind of meat it was, and it didn't have any flavor. Pretty scarce on the pineapple too. The chicken topped one wasn't much better = not much taste. None of them had sausage or pepperoni on them while I was there. Fried chicken was OK, and there was no dessert pizza, just some over done chocolate chip cookie like things. My first experience at a Pizza Ranch was in Marshfield, WI a few years back and their food was excellent. I'm very disappointed in the Eau Claire store. The management is not on top of things here. Having been in the restaurant business for many years I know it can be a challenge, but also very rewarding. The only reason I came here today was because Pizza del Re was closed. They make the best pizza around. I drive an hour each way just to come and eat there! Good luck to y'all, but you have your work cut out for you.

Good food, but we waited over an hour and they brought out pizzas once, and there was no cactus bread the entire time. I saw 8-9 different employees, so there should never ever be wait times of that long if your fully staffed. I work in this industry, and Ive run larger restarunts with less employees with considerably shorter wait times.

Everything was good. The people were nice and food was consistently coming out even though it was only an hour until closing. The only issue was that the restaurant was pretty empty but when we went to find a place yo sit almost every table was dirty. Other than that I’d go again

Very busy during midweek lunch hour. This restaurant closes between 2 pm and 4 pm, food is good. One suggestion, dedicated team to clean tables when people leave. System of number stands which have people lay down their number stand when they are done eating would be most effective in telling the table clearing team that you are done eating. Otherwise great value for the price

To the owner/franchisee of the Eau Claire Pizza Ranch location for immediate remediation: This review is based solely on the extremely poor level of service experienced. We had a horrible interaction with Candice your manager this evening. We were treated with utter disrespect by her to the point where I question how she could ever have gotten her position in customer service. Our interaction with her prompted this negative review, and if you would like to contact us further about this unfortunate situation feel free to do so as we look forward to hearing from you. Our party tonight included six customers one of whom was my veteran father-in-law. He was celebrating his birthday by carrying on his selfless annual birthday tradition of treating his kids and grandkids to dinner. We had other options for restaurants tonight and we honestly regret choosing Pizza Ranch. Regardless of a person's station or situation in life, we would never have expected the total lack of respect directed toward us by your manager. Again, I am at a complete loss as to how she maintains her position in customer service. Not only was she slightly incomprehensible and incoherent when trying to communicate with her, but she also threw one of her employees under the bus, berating her in front of a dining area full of patrons, and offering paltry excuses and no recompense. I would not be surprised to hear that there have been other complaints about her at all. Needless to say, you have lost our business and patronage in the future and we will be choosing, with no regret, the other pizza buffet in town where we have experienced nothing but great customer service.

A lot of pizzas on the bar, loved it. Stuffing, chicken, gravy etc. All were in stock and tasted great. Only complaint was the check in. Cashier struggled with customer in front of me. Almost 5 min wait time at 415pm before I was able to pay.

This place lacks in every aspect. We paid $30+ and had the option of 1 plate of salad. Waited 35 mins for chicken that never came. No mashed potatoes. Pizza was cold and slim pickings. Ice cream machine broken. No desert pizza the entire time we all sat. Absolutely no excuse for this nonsense. What the hell is the point in having a restaurant open if all the stuff you have is out?? I will be sure to avoid this place and share my experience. 👎

The broasted chicken is the best thing they have. Ice cream machine is not working more than working. Slow to fill several items on each bar. Rarely have soup available. Cactus bread is good when they have it available.

Well if your hungry 😋 this is the place. Everything the have here from the salad bar to chicken with sides of dressing mashed potatoes with gravy Is the best I've eaten. Oh and the desserts 🍨 ooh the best.

  • 3/5 Anoki G. 1 year ago on Google
What food they actually had out was decent, but not great. It took forever for items to be refreshed. There was never any cheese bread out. Half the sodas were out of syrup. The ice cream machine was out of order. There was no soup, and no pasta. Very disappointing for the price. $70 for a family of 5. Won't be going back... Much better options for the price.

If you want cold, burnt, flavorless pizza, this is the place to go! You won't get many options either, maybe 5 or 6 different types of pizza (none of which anything regular like pepperoni, sausage or even supreme). The potatoes are bland, cold and flavorless, thank goodness they had luke warm gravy though or the whole thing would have been a bust! Went there on 10/7/22, and not a single adult was working, and by adult, I mean anyone over the age of 18. The employees were drab and dirty, you could tell hygiene wasn't in their top 5 personal concerns. You're greeted by a young man with hair that looked like it hadn't been washed or combed in days, your soda will be 98% carbonation because they don't change the boxes often. Paid $16 for 3 bites of pizza (thought I'd try 3 different kinds of pizza, took 1 bite of each... yuck) and half a cup of mashed potatoes. Would have loved to have had a biscuit, but I didn't wanna break a tooth on the burnt chunk of wood they call a biscuit. Also would have loved to ask for a refund for my sister and I, but again, no adults in sight. I grew up in a town that had a pizza ranch, this is a far cry from back then. Very sad to see and disappointing. Will never go again to this location, and will make sure all of my friends and family avoid the monstrous stomach ache I got from their "food".

Napkins were empty at most tables around us. Dessert pizza was very sparse. But good food all around.

This is the worst Pizza Ranch I've been to. The food was fine but they weren't very good about keeping up with the pizza. The pizza was also usually multiple toppings so kids and those that like a simpler pizza didn't get much. There was an awful lot of laughter and goofing around in the kitchen. The bright spot was the young lady cleaning tables. She worked hard and still smiled and was friendly.

Had to ask for more food to be brought out. Thought there would be a much bigger variety of pizza. Some with mushrooms and black olives etc. They all seem to be the same. The place inside was filthy! Good thing I had wet wipes along to clean the seats before we sat down. The carpet and the floor underneath our tables and the booth seats themselves were all very nasty. Pizza tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for way too long

This is always a fun place to eat when in Eau Claire! The food was excellent as usual. And buffet full. What made the experience awful was the condition of the dining area! There wasn't one clean table in the place! The floors were deep with food and trash. There were less than 15 customers in there. The busser was goofing around w/ people. She finally decided to at least pick up glasses and had 2 towers of them. Then she dropped some them at the table behind us and left the ice and beverages on the floor and table. It was still there when we were done. People started coming in a complaining and she's saying oh we were really busy and another busser hadn't come in. I know it's hard to get help so I should be applauding those who do show up, but management needs to consider how this can effect business.

We had 1 senior buffet and one gluten free buffet. Our senior buffet was 12.99 and the gluten free was 25.99. That was RIDICULOUS!! We won't be back. We always plan to pay more but that was WAY OUT OF LINE!!

We had a group who met up here after a funeral. They were closed from 2-4 p.m. Because they were short staffed. They allowed us to come in and wait when our group arrived at 3 p.m. Then there was lots of fresh food when they finally served it at 4 p.m.

Dirtiest dining room I have seen in my life. Food (large chunks) under most every table. Dirty dishes on many tables. Should have asked for our money back and walked back out.

Food tasted good, but I was sick all night! Didn't get any sleep until morning. Not the 1st time, either! Will not be going back!

  • 5/5 Jacob G. 1 year ago on Google
Always a family favorite for us. The pizzas are always hot and fresh and different kinds are coming out of the kitchen every couple of minutes. Their chicken is just perfection, lots of homestyle sides. Salad bar has tons of toppings and also is very fresh. Desert pizza to top it off! Unfortunately, the soft serve machine has been broken nearly every time I've visited in 2022, but all the other amazing food totally overshadows that small detail. Love Pizza Ranch!

Our family loves Pizza Ranch and used to make it a family tradition to attend after church on Sundays. We have not been able to keep up this tradition this year, but yesterday my husband and I decided to treat our kids. Instead of a fun family dinner, we paid >$70 and just as we were getting our plates for the buffet, a verbal altercation (complete with terrible swearing) broke out between a man and a woman at the dessert station. Staff did next to nothing, everyone working seemed very young and inexperienced. The verbal argument quickly turned into physical threatening laced with swearing and I had to herd my children into a side hallway while my husband and other patrons tried to keep the argument from becoming an all out brawl. No one called police despite many calls from customers for staff to notify police. Staff stood by and watched while customers broke up the almost fight. One female staff member did manage to get one of the man to leave, but by then we had all been treated to 5 minutes of extreme swearing and an almost physical beat down between a 6’4”+ man and a 5’5” overweight woman. Needless to say, my kids were not very hungry and it took us all evening to calm them down. My 5 y.o. had a nightmare… I understand the argument and craziness was not caused by staff, but it was poorly handled by staff who seemed ill-equipped and possibly not life-mature enough to deal with the situation. No customers remaining in the restaurant after the fighters left was offered anything (gift card?) or addressed by a staff member. It was especially a bummer for us, we hadn’t even made it from the counter to the buffet, and didn’t feel much like eating. Definitely didn’t get our moneys worth.

This was my first time here and can't wait to go back with the family. The chicken was the best I've ever had. The pizza was great and the salad bar had lots of options!

  • 3/5 Teresa M. 1 year ago on Google
The food was good and the staff was friendly. However, both the ice tea and the ice cream machines were out of order, and the restaurant was dirty. There was food all over the floor under the tables and visible dust on the wood on the half wall as you walk in, as well as on the napkin holders. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of this particular restaurant is always an issue. If the food wasn't so good, I'm not sure I'd go back.

Tried to tell a couple associates they were out of mellow yellow in both machines. Front guy kept ducking into the back as soon as the new customer was paid, and floor associate (Ralph) refused to respond, kept looking other way when both my husband and I tried to visually and verbally flag him down. Worst trip we've ever had.

Came here today for the first time with my Family and will never come here again. Paid $34 and the food was awful and they have a terrible selection for a buffet. Minimal pizza for a place called “pizza ranch”. Go somewhere else!

They close at odd times in the afternoon.... the website was not updated, so we drove across town for nothing. Food was on the buffet and people were eating, but they were "closed" for 2 hours to new customers. "Staffing shortage" apparently.

Didn't care for exotic pizza choices. No pepperoni, no beef, no supreme or any of what I'd consider normal pizza. Had BBQ, Spinach, Taco, and Alfredo. Just wanted a slice of pepperoni pizza.

  • 1/5 Michael W. 1 year ago on Google
Food and service excellent, if you don't want to pass out from heat stroke I recommend a personal fan. I am giving it 1 star because they didn't have the air conditioning on and when I asked if they could turn on the ceiling fans, they refused to do so. I asked them while beads of sweat was running down my forehead. Resulting in me and my friend leaving early without feeling full. I visited on 05/29/2022 on a breezy 78 degree day. I was cooler outside than inside. Very disappointed in the lack of concern for their customers wellbeing!!!!

  • 1/5 Gary G. 2 years ago on Google
DO NOT eat here. Not only is the owner self-involved, she does NOT put her customers first. This is the ONLY pizza restaurant I've been in where you CANNOT order a full pizza to eat at your table for yourself while family eat from the buffet. It's either buffet or nothing. And to top off the experience, the pizza I decided to take with me was incorrect (and it was the owner that took the order). DO NOT BOTHER WITH THE ERROGANCE OF THIS PLACE.

Great assortment of good fresh food! They even have fried chicken and it's great. There is a soft serve ice cream machine also! Great staff! They Keep the tables clean for you! Restrooms are clean. Great atmosphere good place to take kids.

Fabulous selection! Some high quality pizza, loaded salad bar, and a plethora of other selections on the third buffet. Once you're finished, the chocolate chip cookie tastes great with some soft serve.

  • 1/5 Carla B. 2 years ago on Google
Used to love going here, but gave it another chance and yes not going back. Paid $59 and there was hardly anything out there to eat so much for all you can eat buffet, what pizzas were out were either cold or burnt and the pineapple on the pineapple one tasted bad. Salad was empty when they did bring a little out it was like they just quartered up a head of lettuce the chunks were so huge. We had to ask for a table to be washed, there was no dishes on the table but food everywhere on it. There were tables with dishes piled up on with no one there, they usually have a family Christian station playing some good relaxing music, nope not tonight.
