😐 Ordered House of Habesha Vegan 'Special' — £15.00 via UberEats. Have to admit I was dissapointed by the quantity and quality. Did it taste bad? Not at all, however it did not leave much impression either or fill me up. I'm sure it's a whole different experience when you have this in the restaurant,... Ordered House of Habesha Vegan 'Special' — £15.00 via UberEats. Have to admit I was dissapointed by the quantity and quality. Did it taste bad? Not at all, however it did not leave much impression either or fill me up. I'm sure it's a whole different experience when you have this in the restaurant, I have no doubt about that — but based solely on what was delivered to me, I'd not pay the same amount of money. Sorry guys 😕

Hands down the best Ethiopian/Eritrean in city centre. Ordered a mixed vegan platter and all stews were tasty. Ladies serving food were friendly and knowledgeable - asked if their injera is gluten-free and they admitted it's a 50/50 mix of teff and wheat flour. I'm looking forward to try meat dishes.

Came to House of Habesha in Hatch and order the vegan sharer. Lovely food and service. Really enjoyed the unique bread and I will be back.

On business and found the food court in Salford Quays. What a discovery and House of Habesha smelt so good I decided to try something different. What a great decision as The Full House looked great when I picked it up from the counter. I had mentioned when I ordered that it was my first time there so, despite ordering with rice, they gave me some bread to try as well! Nice touch to listen and enhance the first experience. The food was so flavourful with fantastic balance of spices and texture. Great value too! Enjoyable food, lovely people and value for money! Good luck in the new food court!

Being fascinated to try different cuisine, I found out this extraordinary Eritrean restaurant. The owner is really kind and friendly. We ordered the full menu option and the food was simply delicious and tasteful. That sort of their traditional brown bread is amazing. Highly recommended. Well done.

Vegan dish with rice for 15. Everything tasted delicious, we scraped off ever last crumb on the plate. Lots of texture and flavour, fruity and spicy dishes. Glad we took the risk as not our usual plate so glad to have found this place as it has opened up the taste buds now for this cuisine

First time trying Ethiopian food. Did not disappoint. Lemon-ey undertones to all the dishes. Pleasant. We ordered The Full House, which is a sharing platter. The image on the menu board does not reflect what you get. The portion was wayyy smaller than the image. The small portions of the selection of food was flavoursome, the Injera (wrap) was interesting- a cross between a potato cake and pancake. Also ordered loaded fries with the fried lamb. The lamb was chewwwwyyyy... im sure my jaw has more definition now than it did before i ate the laoded fries 😅 The ethiopian tea has an inoffensive flavour. Its different. It has more of a fast food feel, due to where this place is located within the Lowry. One has to go to the counter, stare up at the menu board which is spread across the top above the counter, and place their order. You get given a buzzet that buzzes when the food is ready to be collected. Also, you have to pay for parking, unless your a shopper shopping in the lowry. Definitely worth a try, just feel ripped off by the misleading pics

I ordered the vegan special and it took 50 mins to get my food when it should've been 30 max, the chickpea curry, and potato curry were good but the rest didn't taste nice at all - very sour and not a fan. I asked my friend to try it incase it was just me but they also agreed it didn't taste good . Would not recommend, which is a shame as I like to try new cuisines. Perhaps the other things on the menu are better.

It is insane to me that someone left a review of the £15 vegan platter saying it wasn't enough food... I ate the whole thing with some difficulty, it was amazing and I could barely move for the rest of the night because I was so full! This is my favourite takeaway in Manchester hands down, and they've moved onto the Foodstuff app which actually pays drivers a living wage.

I ordered some shiro with rice and salad to go for only £5.50 and found it absolutely delicious and quite a filling portion for that much. The flavour was insanely rich. Impressively, they have so many vegan and vegetarian options! Can’t recommend enough, they also have a stall in UoM’s uni place market.

Really disappointed. Paid £12.50 for what was essentially a poor Philly Cheesesteak. Tiny portion, poorly presented. I was totally seduced by the menu description and social media posts so shame on me. However, at that price both the execution and effort of what was presented was below average at best. Wouldn’t use this vendor again.

Visited the stall at Kargo Central Bay. Excellent food, great spices and variety. A bit hard trying to get the staff to suggest anything and way too expensive. Ordered the combination dish with rice, vegetarian and 2 meat dishes about a tablespoon of each. Pay £20, would have expected at least a bowl of each meat dish.

Had the vegan special and it was some of the best food ive ever eaten - so delicious! The staff are really lovely and clearly very passionate about what they do - can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Ate here last night. Sooooo good and wholesome. Food should make us feel great eating it AND fantastic afterwards. House of Habesha does both. So tasty. Lovely people, lovely food - what more do you want? :-)

Crazy good food, really good service, huge portions. In hindsight, I may have ordered too much for 2 people, but that is because my eyes were too big for my stomach! Great experience, I would definitely recommend!

Review for the new house of habesha at kargo. Absolute joke. 1h30 min for food that still didn’t show up. The guy serving is an obnoxious weapon. Sent us away at least 3 times asking us to wait. As expected he didn’t have the order. Offered a free plate that didn’t show up either. Visited on Friday 15th. Such a shame he could neither accept responsibility or resolve the issue. So many other places . Baity amazing. Go there

Such a great spot. Atmosphere is great if you want a laid back or a little bit more involved vibe. The food at House of Habesha is so good too. Literally could not stop eating. Tons of great options and no wrong answers. To top it all off, the staff is so friendly and gave us a warm welcome to Manchester. Highly recommend if you’re in the area 💯
