Where do I start 😁 Visited here whilst on holiday, staying near Aberystwyth, West Wales. 30min drive but it was well worth it. Lovely locals pub, recently under new management/ownership, very accommodating and welcoming. Family run and very dog friendly. Dogs allowed in bar area. Car park to rear, has pool table also. Food served, very good menu choices with offers on some nights also. Locally sourced meat. We called in on Thursday which was steak night. All steak meals come with free drink. We had the mixed grill and the 10oz Sirloin. Both meals were cooked to perfection. The Mixed grill is a monster coming with chargrillled Steak, Lamb chop, Pork chop, gammon, Sausage, mound of chips, salad, mushrooms, onion rings, finished off with a friend egg, oh and not forgetting the house slaw which is the best I've ever tasted. If you like pub grub, don't let this one pass you by

Just had Sunday lunch here, great food, great service, really friendly hosts and the homemade cheesecake was delicious.

Sunday Lunch was lovely. The Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake was incredible! and such lovely owners too. Definitely recommend ❤️

Had a lovely evening at Cefn Hafod. The steak was beautiful, lovely and tender. Finished off with a White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake amazing. Nothing was too much trouble excellent service. Will be back. Diolch

Amazing atmosphere and equally amazing food ! The Ribeye was fantastic and it’s was lovely being in a family run pub getting to meet everybody. Locals are also very accommodating, allowed us to join with their pool tournemants! Very fun evening all in !! Highly recommend if passing by or when staying nearby.

We, at Lampeter’s Tangent Club, decided to hold our monthly meeting at Cefn Hafod and we weren’t disappointed. Our table was booked easily by email contact. We pre-ordered our meals, which meant there was no long wait for our meals. There were 9 of us in the party and we all had a great night. The food was delicious and I would recommend Sean’s fish and chips. The batter on the fish was fantastic. The pub was quite busy for a Thursday evening, maybe because there was a quiz being held. We were disappointed that we couldn’t join in because of the time of our meetings. Next time we’ll book earlier! The room where we ate was bright and cheerful. Our only disappointment was that there was no white wine available at the bar. I feel this problem needs to be addressed. So next time we book, we’ll just ensure that the white wine has been re-stocked! Thanks Sean and Charlotte!

Food was absolutely delicious. Best garlic mushrooms we’ve ever tasted. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, nice traditional pub. Will definitely be back here soon!!!
