What an utterly amazing unexpected experience!! After a Sunday walk in Tatton Park we took a stroll into Knutsford and stumbled upon Pulse of Perfumery…. Peter was instantly welcoming, funny and wow what knowledge!!! He and his wife provide an amazingly professional yet extremely welcoming atmosphere in the perfumery and are so enthusiastic in sharing their vast knowledge of fragrances. The perfumery itself is chic, elegant and makes you feel like you could stay there all day. We bought an exclusive Italian fragrance that we instantly fell in love with it… can’t wait to go back and buy another one. Thank you so much to Peter for such a wonderfully bespoke shopping experience.

What can I say that hasn't already been said in the other reviews. I was utterly blown away with the service that Peter and his staff provide. My partner and I were strolling past Pulse of Perfumery while visiting Knutsford and as we commented to each other on how lovely the smells were, Peter happened to be walking back in to the shop. He invited us in and we instantly realised that he was not only passionate about the products he stocks but also about making each customer feel welcomed. I often purchase the same aftershaves but told Peter that I'd consider something different. At that point he asked a few questions and returned with 5 different bottles. What then followed can only be described as 'an experience'. Rather than simply spraying each on the paper strips and asking which I preferred, Peter took the time to take me through each one, encouraged me to take my time and shared some of his vast knowledge. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Peter and his team and we will definitely be returning. Thank you once again for your time.

What an absolutely amazing experience. Recommended by a friend and colleague, we visited around 430pm on Saturday as a surprise stop to my wife. I thought she would either have a Quick Look for 5mins and not not engage or spend 10-20mins checking everything out. We walked in to the best welcome ever from Peter the owner and spent the next hour going on a fantastic nasal journey with him. Great banter, laughs and such an amazing guy. He found the perfect new scent for my wife. It was such a great experience I asked for the same and left with the perfect new scent that I have looked for a while. We both have photos and samples of the other 2-3 we both liked so we will be returning. The perfect place for a couples experience. Great solo and would be well looked after. The go to place for any special occasion or just a change of smell!! What a great store. What you would expect from a 5 star retail experience in up market London street, but in Knutsford. I must confess, not being native to Knutsford I didn't know about Pulse of Perfumery until a friend took me in to say hello to her daughter who works there. And that little visit totally transformed our day! I was out of perfume and had in mind a change (but also wouldn't know where to start in Chester where I live) so my friend and I were treated to the full experience of scent-selecting. It was informative and, above all, fun. I came out with a scent that felt personal to me, so beautifully gift-wrapped it seemed a shame to disturb it. It all felt like a really indulgent treat and I fear I am now on the slippery slope of investing in a scent wardrobe...

This is an experience not to be missed, very interesting and unique. Peter is such a wonderful, knowledgeable man, who took me on a journey to try and find my perfect scent. There’s no pressure sales, just a phenomenal service. Peter doesn’t want you to walk away with a bottle that you will regret buying. A 'might as well take a look' browse turned into a wonderfully informative and uplifting afternoon. And I walked away with a beautiful scent that I would have never found on my own in the overwhelming and impersonal department store set ups. Highly recommended! I went to pulse of perfumery on saturday with my elderly mum, she loved the experience. The staff are so lovely and friendly, everything was done to help my mum feel comfortable and not rushed as her mobility is not great. She bought a beautiful perfume and it made her very happy. I had a truly fantastic experience here and could not recommend it enough. I came in with a friend who was looking to sample a perfume and we were lucky enough to talk to Peter who was incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to speak to. I don’t know a lot about perfumes, or notes I like/dislikes so it can sometimes feel quite intimidating but Peter really made me feel comfortable and helped explore some more interesting scents. I left with some wonderful samples and will be back as I have my eye on a bottle of Noir Epices
