My partner & I were blown away when we first visited. The food is to die for - hands down, the absolute best we've ever had. Generous portions, clearly homemade & cooked to order - no microwave dinners here! We've been back a couple of times since & we're really impressed with how consistent the food's been. The staff are friendly & approachable, & the atmosphere was very light - most enjoyable. :)

We were visiting Cheadle and after walking up through the centre we spotted this place we went in and were able to get seats no problem at all. We ordered at the bar, which has the usual selection of drinks, is bit limited on real ales. The food was tasty and well presented, we choose to share a sharing platter.

Amazing roast dinner yesterday, really tasty great portion size and the rhubarb crumble for dessert was stunning. I really recommend The Royal Oak, the staff and the place deserves your business, it’s also for a good mix of homely pub and upmarket bar all at the same time

I would have given 3 stars because of the beautiful decor however the food and overall experience is what lowered the score. I had a really bad tummy after eating here, that I had to take imodium. The beef roast was overcooked and the mash potato was hard which I think is what led me to have a poorly tummy. The atmosphere wasn't welcoming enough and staff didn't recognise customers or tables sat at, quite strange really. If you read the reviews which I did whilst I was there, (too late) they all have the same theme.

1st time been in here. Had a dj on fairly busy. Bought pint of Guinness, pint dark fruit & 4 baby Guinness. £27. Which I thought was a bit pricey. Still enjoyed my visit here. Didn't have food so didn't rate that.

My favourite pub on Cheadle high Street. Friendly staff, properly looked after Robinson's on cask and relaxing atmosphere. Great place to go if you don't want to watch the sport!

12 of us went yesterday for the first time. Greeted warmly, made very welcome by the landlord, he even remembered it was my birthday from when I booked. The food was all homecooked and absolutely fantastic. Landlord brought out my cake, chatted, and was a great host. What a find this pub 👏 is! Can't recommend highly enough.

We went on a quiet afternoon so not much atmosphere. However, the food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend.

everything was absolutely amazing about the bar staff all so polite and welcoming except i think the house lady, very rude and thought she was above everyone else, which seems very down showing on the actual staff, merry christmas to all of the workers ❤️

First time having food ,it was cooked to perfection , service with a smiley face and a very friendly ,chatty landlord whom made you feel at home ... We will be back in December for the Xmas meal /entertainment... Definitely worth a visit
