After the reviews i was kind of disappointed because we had to travel far, it was a nice place to walk the dog for an hour but not nearly as pretty as its made out to be, the ponds are looking awful and brown. There were lots of wild flowers but none we could see that were intentionally planted except in a small garden area where dogs can't go.

The botanical garden was lovely so was the area around the cafe stall. The ice cream was good but the drinks were awful. We ordered a flat white (which was actually a cappuccino) and a watery hot chocolate. Bring your own to walk with through the beautiful gardens. That said, the public area has been neglected and some renovation would be great.

Lovely park. The botanical garden part of it it absolutely stunning. There is a little parking area tucked away on millgate lane. Despite being a bank holiday weekend I still managed to get a parking space. After wondering for a bit we went up to the little cafe area where they had a lovely selection of food and drinks. With my raspberry lemonade in hand we continued to explore the beautiful gardens.

Free garden with stunning views, use strava to guide a walk. Bare in mind it is VERY muddy, don’t wear regular trainers when exploring the area -as we did, can get very messy! Stunning autumnal colours, well worth a visit!

A perennial south Manchester favourite, this is a flood plane and recreational area with two adjacent landscaped gardens (Alpine and Parsonage). Lovely place but gets very busy and the new burger van style cafes are a step back from the proper indoor cafe, as I hate those stupid plastic cups everyone is using, it's as if reusable cups never happened, ah well. Not sure why the building is no longer used, here's hoping it will reopen. This building, called The Croft, incidentally used to be the residence of Emily Williamson, one of the founders of the RSPB. Make sure you visit the Parsonage Gardens and parsonage building itself just opposite (tucked away behind the pubs). It houses many art exhibitions and some stunning stained glass windows.

I haven't been here since I was about 18yrs old and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I'll definitely be going back with my hubby, there's so much more to it than simply the gardens.

Beautiful place if you havent been before. Situated on Wilmslow Road going through Didsbury Village just follow the road round till you come to the pub called the Didsbury which is set off the road as you travel along Wilmslow Road. Fletcher Moss entance is walking distance just past the pub. As you walk into this beautiful place you will see park benches some have been carved out of wood made looking like little animals that you can sit on. You will also see railings near the park benches & steps leading down to the garden down below. Beautiful trees with over flowing flowers coming down. Lots of beautiful flower beds & water falls in between the flower beds with rocks for the water to flow down. Their is a pond with wild flowers growing in the pond as well. A mallard duck was in the pond when we were there. Bees amongst the flower beds. Sometimes see butterflies too. As you walk along there is a house in the grounds just walk past that & you will see a small parking area as well if you can get parking there too! This is situated on Mill Gate Lane where you can get out onto the road as well. A picnic area is also there where you can sit & reflect some where quite if you wish. Well worth a visit if anyone wants to go! The pub is also a nice place with friendly staff to serve you if your thinking of having a pub lunch. Food not bad either. You can park your car behind the pub, as far as i am aware its free parking unless its changed since i was last there.

Beautiful well maintained park. Parking was a bit of an issue on the site so we parked and walked. Toilets available and nice cafe with ice creams and snacks.

Beautiful park. It’s great to walk around. There are plenty of shaded and non shaded areas with benches and/or some tables. Very suitable for a jog or picnic and to relax when it’s nice out.

This is one the best parks in South Manchester in my opinion, there is so much to see and literally has everything and all accessible. It connects to the Mersey which is stunning in the sunshine. I tend to enter around the tennis courts next to the Didsbury Pub, then come out after the amazing line of trees as shown in the photos, but there is a lot more to see than I am saying in this post.... Worth a visit or two trust me 🥰

This is a lovely place to go for a family walks. You can spend a few hours or all day here. Bring a picnic or grab a bit to eat at the cafe or even one of local pubs near bye. The only thing is parking you can have trouble finding somewhere to park.

Such a tranquil place. I loved the walk to the river and then eating at the street style café trailers. The food was lovely.

Fletcher Moss Botanical Garden is a beautiful place in Stenner Lane, Manchester. It is situated in front of the house where Fletcher Moss used to live. He was an alderman of the city and a prolific author. For the citizens of Manchester, he donated the whole area. M20 2RQ is the post code for this garden.

Not a large but a nice garden even in autumn, I'm sure the roses and wisteria pergolas will be stunning in season. There are interesting maples and conifers and a nice pond in the rockery.

It's a lovely park with a few different routes depending on how long you'd like to walk. We wanted a short walk, and we were more interested in the flowers.. we got exactly what we were looking for. Loved that we could cover the area in less than an hour (was in a hurry to drive back to London). Love it.

What a beautiful park and botanical garden , simply breath taking , some really beautiful plants in the botanical garden area, but of equal beauty were some of the other areas including the covered walkway with beautiful roses nearby, it's just a short walk from the nearby canal where you can walk for miles. The only drawback is the limited parking with room for about 20 cars which at busy times is in high demand

Beautiful garden, loads of stunning flowers plants and trees to see and admire. There's a decent cafe on-site. Just a shame the paths were covered with puddles in places, due to the recent heavy volume of rain, though I'm sure on a lovely summer's day it would be nice and dry.

Beautiful grounds and a fantastic place to visit to escape the madness and business of the world

Always a lovely walk, even on a cold flooded Morning. Very flat however can be muddy in places. Parking can be a challenge but worth it. Recommend lunch at the Didsbury following your walk!

The most beautiful park in Manchester, also there’s a river nearby and several beautiful hiking trails

Lovely scenery and lots to explore, little cafe on site and close to two pubs. It would be handy if there was a toilet on the site of the park. Lovely atmosphere and enjoyed my day out on the park

It's a lovely park to go to on a sunny day. Makes for a leisurely, peaceful walk to stroll through ( like going through ' A Secret Garden'), discovering the parsonage with the quaint cottage and church cemetery and botanical gardens. Leads onto the Manchester walk trail to Chorlton Water Park ( I think) and Mersey River for the adventurous energetic type.

A large park with well maintained flower bushes and water bodies. Also there is green vegetation of large trees.

This is definitely a firm favourite of mine as a dog walker i always bring our dogs for adventures here and when we have friends visiting from abroad there is no better place to show off the green side of Manchester and the Mersey river than jere...having a lovely coffee shop and picnic tables is a huge bonus

My first time here and it's really lovely, with long walks along the river and a nice botanical garden. It also has a cafe (was closed when I went as it works only till 4), but I was told it's really nice. I didn't have time to explore all of the park but I'd love to come back and explore it more.

Fletcher Moss has been a bit of a haven for locals throughout the pandemic period. A coffee van and food van seem to be permanent fixtures now instead of the old cafe. The coffee, cappuccino for me is a good drink. The gardens themselves are reasonably maintained, and a lot of work has gone into the path behind the old cafe building. Not really a hidden gem but a gem nevertheless.

Had a lovely walk, the gardens are looking great with trees starting to turn shades of amber and red and we even found a little hot chocolate cafe. Will definitely be back for another walk soon!
