Fantastic day out for all the family or friends. Plenty to do from start to finish. Kids rides plenty! adult rides plenty! Pirate show great. Loads and varied food outlets around the park although a little to strep in price but it's kind of expected really. The kids loved the meet and greet with Peter Rabbit and had an opportunity to get a photo. Handy to have the map of site downloaded to phone. large Park with a great zoo which has plenty of animals. Parking is free and it's cheaper to buy tickets to park before you go. As this was out of main holiday season it was so quiet no queues hardly for anything but from past experience gets busy peak times. Staff were generally very friendly and interactive and helpful. Easy to get most things done in a day when quiet but peak you would need 2 days to prob do all the stuff.

Good place for a family day out. We were there in April and it wasn't busy so there were no queues for the rides. Rides are short but good and fast so kids loved it. Animals seem well looked after and sea lion show is worth the visit. Place is ideal for under 9 years old children as they have plenty of entertainment for them. The only downside is the quality of the food and limited options for vegetarians or vegans but you'll be fine with the slice of pizza or Chinese.

It was my first visit to Flamingo land and would definitely come again, excellent value, great selection of rides with a new rollercoaster on the way, the rides are not that far apart so saves time and steps. Impressed by the zoo side of the park also, the animal enclosures are very spacious and there's a couple you can walk through to get up close, lots of seating areas for lunch, toilet facilities were clean, although I didn't go on the lost river ride I think it's a great idea having the track go through the large animal enclosure. Staff were helpful and friendly, I guess the saying is true, the further north you go the friendlier the people, the people leaving bad reviews are obviously from London, miserable cows.

Some big rides which were really exciting. Some of the big rides were closed all the time we were there and many of the others keep closing then opening again .Park looks very tired .Plenty for the very young children .There is a zoo as well as rides .The pirate show is very good. Prices for food and drinks are not too bad. A bit disappointed as when for the Halloween date as it said there were street entertainment but didn't see anything at all around the park ☹️also said it was decorated for the Halloween this was very poor 😠a few skeletons some grave stones not a lot of effort put in to this at all very disappointed. But there was a bit of a bounce as on the day we went there was a added show the Circus of Horrors ,which went a little way to make up for the lack of Halloween around the park .

We had the best day out, weather was perfect and even with the baking heat the park wasn't too bad waiting till etc, annoyingly the boat ride where you can soak people going round only had 2 boats running so the line was huge and it's a very very slow ride so this took over an hour where as we managed nearly all the big rides in under two hours, this meant we didn't have time to do the Zoo but it definitely wouldn't put me off from going again! Great day out if a bit pricey!

Camped for 3 nights. Really good experience. Swimming was good, zoo was awesome and some decent rides. Obviously Covid has had an impact and they either can't afford to have everything running or can't get the staff in as not everything was open. If you are going for only a day visit then you will not fit much in so probably avoid rather than giving it 1*.

A very good place to spend time with friends and family and have some fun. I liked the rides, especially the motorbike one. There aren't many rides though, not exactly sure how many, but approx 10 which are fun to ride, others are for children. The zoo is also good, but I wouldn't say zoo, it's like an animal gathering park=). The sea lion show is very good, recommended. There is a student discount priced £25.

Visited this resort after a good few years, a lot has changed, most rides were closed, staff seem rude at the rides and at the games stalls and shops. Some food places were shut so was difficult to find food. Weather was expecting to rain but was windy and sunny which was good, the sea lion show was nice to watch. When watching the animals, they don't seem looked after which was saddening to see and some weren't there either to see. But overall was nice day out with good weather.

The roads towards Flamingo Land are winding, narrow and hilly so access to Flamingoland isn't easy. The theme park was busy but there were lots of places to get away from the crowds especially near the zoo. The shows were well done. There were plenty of places for refreshments. There were rides for all ages and levels of thrill. We gave it 4 stars as the queues were long and slow. One hour queues for five minute rides. You only have time for around 5 or 6 so it takes away the fun of the day, hence only 4 stars.

We went during summer holidays, it was quite busy but we arrived as it opened so queues getting in was fine about 10 minutes, got on a ride quick but then had to queue fort the rest and you are looking at anywhere between 10 minutes and 2 hours for some rides, it's unfortunate as it let's down the whole experience. Most of the facilities are on the rides side of the park so if you need the loo while in the zoo side you might struggle. The train round the park is pretty good just get on at any stop. Also my son is 8 and was tall enough to get on some of the better rides like hero and mumbo jumbo. 👍👌 Overall a good day out 😊

Always a fun day here. Google maps are accurate and will direct you there perfectly. And there is Plenty of parking spaces. There are some amazing rides here and the kids love it. Also there are some zoo animals here including a sea lion show and bird show .there also a pirate show just near the main entrance. There are toilets and disabled toilets here. 🚻 also plenty of places to get drinks and doughnuts 🍩 and gift shops. There is rides for younger kids but some will need to be accompanied by an adult. It's a great day here ☺️

Visited the Zoo only as the Theme park was fully shut, had a Fantastic time as the Zoo was not busy and all the animals were very active. Being a photographer i got some great shots of all the Big Cats which was my highlight of the day. Definitely recommended as a Visit

Always a great time at flamingo land. We stay for 4/5 days every October half term. I am now a wheelchair user and still find it great. Accessibility wise- you can get a pass which works as a virtual queue- they will sign your card with the next time you can ride and therefore don’t need to physically queue which is a massive help. I can stay in my wheelchair by going up through the exit and then transfer to the ride. Accommodation wise I have stayed in the caravans, a lodge, the house and also a cottage and all have been great. Obviously the better accommodations like the cottage are higher spec and therefore more expensive. Some also have hot tubs which are great for the colder nights. Entertainment wise- there’s always things going on, shows for the kids, bigger entertainment, an arcade, plenty of bars and some restaurants. The silent firework display is always a highlight! The zoo is fantastic and love spending a whole day there attending the talks and shows- definitely recommend them to enhance your experience. Overall- great family holiday every year - dress for the weather and you’ll have a great time no doubt.

Wonderful independent theme park and zoo. So much to do you really need 2 days to do everything. Loads of parking which is free! A good range of rides from small children ones up to large roller coasters and everything in between. Lots of animals all of which seemed like they were happy and cared for. There's a good choice of food outlets from quick snacks to sit in restaurants.

A+. Staff lovely and welcoming. Caravan site clean, has all amenities and is a home away from home. We were very well catered for considering what has been going on for the past year. Park is obviously trying it's best to get back up and running as carefully as possible while being accommodating and it shows! Have always booked to come back next year with the niece and nephew!

We visited the zoo only outside of the main season, so the bulk of the park was closed, so I'm not reviewing that,, just the zoo area and that was great! It's kept well away from the big rides, so the animals don't have to put up with the loud screams and noises connected with trill rides, the only exception is the route the big water ride takes as that goes through a large enclosure with some zebras in. None of the big cats were out for our visit either which was disappointing, but their enclosures were massive and like all the animal enclosures, clean and well looked after. In fact, all the animals look healthy, happy and well cared for. Staff were friendly and the park was clean and tidy, even though there was obvious work going on to prepare for the upcoming season. There were a few kiddy rides open too, so it made it fun for little ones who may find the animals a bit boring after while. It's a good day out really.

Came here on a weekday during school days, and despite getting busier throughout the day, waiting time was rarely more than 10mins. Good selection of thrill and more gentle rides plus the staff were generally friendly- especially entrance employees. Some rides are tired but overall this is a great theme park with lots to see and do. Definitely worth a whole day.

Flamingo Land is another one of my favourite UK parks. It has some of the best rollercoasters there as well as the very questionable rollercoaster hero I guess u love it or hate it. And it also is now home to its very own 10 looping coaster (yet to be named). We have a vlog over on our channel if u would like to check it out plus many many over parks

Always look forward to visiting Flamingo Land as it has the perfect combination of rides for thrilling entertainment as well as the animals to see which always seems to be well cared for and enclosures maintained well. Always pays to look for special offers online and book ahead of your visit for possible discounts available.

Absolutely brilliant family day out, we spent the whole day there 10am-5pm and felt it wasn't long enough! So much to do and see. Massive car park, toilets, kids rides, adult rides, zoo, play parks, splash Park and they'll be more that I've forgotten to mention. Can't praise this place enough will definitely be back. Thank you flamingo land

We were really looking forward to visiting Flamingo Land, however I think with the time of year we visited it was very busy and waiting times were horrid! I only managed to get on one ride after waiting over an hour and the children wanting to go on rides and see the zoo. The zoo is excellent and would recommend, however theme park needs to work on waiting times.

A lovely holiday in a static caravan. There was 6 of us in total and all of varying ages from 4 to 60. There was lots to do and loads of places to eat and even a cooplands on site. Prices very reasonable compared to some theme parks. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days and didn't have time to be bored. There were talks and shows daily in the zoo area and there is a timed feed for the lions, the sea lion show was fantastic and had a picture opportunity at the end which my little boy loved. There are plenty of rides for the shorter members of the group under 4ft and an ample amount for the thrill seekers. Velocity is 100% recommended by me but hero wasn't a favourite for me, I even got a bruise 🤣. The night time entertainment was different on all nights, some nights were better than others. The amusements are now all cashless and you purchase credits on a card.

Flamingo Land has been absolutely amazing. It's great value for money, where else can you go see multiple animal shows such as sea lions and birds etc, and go on rides and see animals all for £30? We had a walk with some wallabies! That was my favourite part. We even got to see the Tigers playing together! It's been one of the best days ever! The park wasn't busy at all today wlso we no wait times for rides. Not crowded at all!

Had an excellent time here with a family of 4 in the summer school holidays. The rides were fantastic and the queues weren't long to wait for them. We loved the animals. Also the food was nice. We had burger n fries with drinks which was lovely and not overly expensive. We would definitely come here again.

The Zoo is VERY run down and a bit dilapidated. (Infact the only animals we spotted was geese, pigeons, rhino, cheetah, lemur, 2 camels and giraffe and the sea lion exhibit) The rides are good and we didn't have to queue to long. . We are going back on Thursday during jubilee bank holiday but I will be avoiding the zoo on this visit. The restaurants are pricey at about £8 for burger meal and £2.85 for a small portion of fries but you can buy a sandwich for around £3.50- £4.50.

We visited here today and had a nice sunny day. The staff we encountered were friendly. Plenty of rides for all ages. We took our kids (7and 4) and they absolutely loved it. I think the longest we stood in a queue for was 20mins (kids rides). My kids loved the pirate show that was on. We took a picnic down so can't comment on the food outlets. Plenty of toilets around the site. Kids loved seeing the animals too. Lots of gift shops.

Ray is a real gentleman and an expert in his field, we could listen to him talk about the birds for hours! A great experience, the birds are amazing creatures and are fascinating to watch. We'll be returning and hope to see a show there. Can't recommend enough.

Far above expectations! We are a family of 5 and booked a last minute caravan and park weekend. The caravan was delightful and clean (the kids loved it). We couldn’t believe how close to the rides and entertainment our accommodation was! The park was clean and the rides that were operating were enjoyable and unique. We have been to a number of theme parks so were looking forward to something different. The park staff were very friendly and accommodating, the older member of staff of the flying planes ride was so nice he made our day. Best ride was Mumbo Jumbo! Also special mention to musician Michael Rolf, what a talent!

A must visit if you have kids, a little dated only in a few small places, but some excellent rides, great pool, it is getting a little expensive to stay last year or so...also has a zoo, most staff very friendly and helpful, but it is yorkshire so to be expected, we had a brand new lodge, luxury.....

Advertised under the heading, Spring at Flamingo Land Zoo for £14:50 per adult (not sure of child price). They claim their “award winning zoo” has over 140 species, but without any guide book/ leaflet or map it would be difficult to tell if this was accurate. We managed to spend 3 1/2 hours there today leisurely walking round looking at the animals, listening to the keeper talks, having dinner at the Costa cafe then seeing the sea lion show. Weather was kind and we enjoyed our visit today. I feel the experience could have been even better though if visitors were provided with a park map and a clear route to take whilst walking round the Zoo. There are qr codes around the Zoo that bring up a map of sorts on your mobile phone but it is not that clear or easily navigated, however simply adding gps so it showed you exactly where you were at the time would be a great improvement. There were also a selection of young children’s open too as well as a gift shop. If you do go, make sure you see the sea lion show because it is fantastic. You can even have your picture taken with one of the stars after the show for only £5 which includes a poster. I would recommend a visit to Spring at Flamingo Land Zoo. Just pick the day of your visit wisely- there’s not that many places to shelter if it rains.

Opens at 9 but most of the rides don't start till 10 by this time the queue can be 1 hour wait. The animals all look happy and well cared for sea lion show is very informative and amusing. Paid £165 for a family of 5 that was with a pre booking discount not enough time to do everything we wanted because the waiting times for rides are horrendous. Flamingo land maybe stay open till 7 or 8 pm giving people a chance to get value for money

Always been to the zoo in the winter so never been when rides open. A small percentage of rides not working on day and a few had maintenance issues so back working later on. They didn't have some rides open from opening at 10am they had to be checked first, why? 1 hour queue for car ride that lasted 2 minutes is not worth it. But my Boys did enjoy the day and has I got cheap tickets and don't live far away not so bad.

Visited flamingo land recently and was blown away by everything! It was so good! Me and my partner were massively impressed by the resort we loved it all, the theme park was excellent very clean and fun! There are top thrill rides and medium sized rides and smaller family rides. The facilities were top notch and the prices were very reasonable! But the zoo was just amazing!! The amount to explore was awesome, the range of animals was incredible and they all seemed very happy and clean but also the enclosures were brilliant with plenty of space and good viewing. Overall we absolutely loved our time there and would definitely go back! Also the car park was free. I would put flamingo land above chessington easy! Well done guys and keep up all the good work.

Wonderful place to take the kids, great fun for the adults too. I was a little concerned being able to enjoy the full park due to being a XXL woman. I fit comfortably on all rides and was comfortable. I even fit on one of the children's rides with my niece. Unfortunately one of the rides broke down but we got given 2 ride passes meaning we could skip the queue on 1 ride, a nice gesture. We just wish there was more time in the day to enjoy everything that was there. We will definitely be back.

Amazing rides and the zoo was also good. But the red panda enclosure did not have any red pandas I don't know if they were hiding but the rest of the zoo was very good. There was also a peacock walking around which was cool to see. The toilets could be a lot cleaner but overall a very good experience.

Absolutely fab place to bring the kids, there’s something for everyone regardless of age or ability. They also have a zoo with animals show which are fab. We stayed in a caravan for the week and the kids were entertained non stop throughout the week, the caravans are lovely and clean. The only bad point if I had to find one is the price of the food everywhere in the park, it’s so expensive to eat out and non of the food is really worth the money. I tried to get the kids a meal deal and they had run out of sandwiches and weren’t offering any replacement and no discount on the meal to have it without the sandwich which was disappointing and the staff were really rude and snappy towards my kids but that was only one shop, the other shops that I visited the staff were beyond helpful.

Not been in many years and have 3 kids mixed ages. You know what, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite parts being closed and areas a little run down the kids loved it, plenty for you get ones as well as older so will definitely be coming back. Don't think I'd pay full whack but loads of offers knocking around on various sites (which is what we did in half term). We took our own food but they still managed to bleed my dry with ice creams, sweets and drinks so be prepared but we all had a top day and it was worth it 😂

A fabulous place to spend an hour or two. Ray and the other staff is helpful and knowledgeable, eager to share their knowledge and passion for the beautiful birds they take care of. Fantastic place to visit. The information you are given is tremendous. There is nothing you could ask about birds of prey that these guys don't know. I watched as the staff worked with a group of blind people who were on a day visit and every one of them was given the opportunity to touch and hold the birds. The staff are excellent and the variety of birds is unbelievable. They also do flying displays if the weather permits but the talks and meet the birds are also excellent. If you are staying on site then this is a must visit. If you are passing by then you must also go in and have a look. Great for the birdwatcher and non birdwatcher. A fantastic opportunity to learn about these birds and also get up close with them.

Amazing birds, the show is great for kids and the people running it are very friendly and approachable. The place is relatively small and 30 mins looking will cover it. Take 5 mins for the gift shop and make sure you see one of the shows for another 30 mins or so.

Ray is a lovely man, he's clearly passionate about all the birds. Go and visit if you can, the birds are incredible and well looked after. Unfortunately, he can't fly any of them at the moment due to covid restrictions but he'll happily sit down with you and answer any questions. Would highly recommend for all ages :)

  • 5/5 ami s. 3 years ago on Google
We were wondering at first when the birds get to fly ( no shows right now because of the restrictions, of course). Ray explained everything to us, how they fly them out of hours, where they go, how old every bird is, where he got them from, and even why they have wallabies! Really passionate about the work and the birds and willing to educate the visitors. They take the birds into schools as well, so kids have so much to learn! The kind of place that will struggle through these times, but absolutely should get the help needed. Wholeheartedly recommend you go visit and engage in discussion with the staff.

Friendly staff, we were even able to pet a tiny owl called Willow and regaled with many owl facts, which we appreciated. Also appreciate the fact that the birds are free flying and can leave if they want!

I would have described myself as indifferent about birds before today. They are not just birds, they have personalities, and traits and different characteristics. The staff are passonate about what they do - and happy to teach and share info. The show was amazing - facinating for all ages.

We had a really lovely weekend camping at Flamingo Land, the facilities were clean and tidy. I was impressed with the number of hand sanitizing stations there were around the park and particularly at the entrances and exit to rides. It did get very busy and the waiting times for some of the bigger rides were very long, other than that, it was a fantastic weekend. The zoo was brilliant, we really enjoyed walking around and seeing all the animals.

  • 4/5 Allan P. 3 years ago on Google
Obviously in the current situation nothing is normal but over 2/3rd of the rides are operating (plus queues are virtually non existent) so all in all it was a fantastic day. Kids enjoyed themselves which is all that matters. Only outdoor eating allowed (limited menu) but the zoo and shows are running which was great!

  • 4/5 BRIT L. 3 years ago on Google
Great park been many times before, just be prepared for longer wait times than the norm during the current restrictions! 2 hrs just to get on velocity and hero defo worth investing in the quick ride passes . Zoo was decent the tigers were out in full play mode as were the hippos

  • 5/5 Emma H. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely love this place!! We come here every year to celebrate our children's October birthdays and its always a pleasure. Dont be put off by the prices because the are always having brilliant offers on and mostly always have multiple 2for1 deals throughout the year. You get the zoo and the theme park so it is a bargain even without an offer. Whenever we go its always a full day spent as the place is huge. My children love the animals with the tigers being their favourite. Obviously with all the covid safety measures in place some of the rides weren't open but that didn't dampen our day. There was plenty of sanitising stations and cue markings to keep everyone safe also masks must be worn in indoor areas. Its always a pleasure and will be back next year like always

  • 3/5 Carly F. 3 years ago on Google
Despite not everything running or open, it was still a decent weekend. However in hindsight the cost of the accommodation and included events doesn't really equate to what was actually available or what we got to do, as we still had to pay separately for food onto of this. Also to note while during the day it was relatively easy to social distance, in the evenings this was much harder, getting to the events super early or getting a seat at the restaurant seems to be the way to go. However it was still quite crowded. Yes, it was raining yet everyone still wanted to be out. Perhaps a better system like booking seats would of helped rather then 'first come, first serve'.

My wife and I took our two children ages 4 and 20 months to Flamingoland on Saturday 5th of December 2020. Our children love to come and see the animals, and love the fact we can go to see them all year round. However, as our children are getting older we decided to go to some of the keeper talks they have to let them understand more about the animals they love. We started off with the Hippo feeding and a talk on the Giraffes. Later in the afternoon we then went to the Tiger feeding and the Red Panda talk. All the feedings and talks were carried out by a gentleman named Kieran. Kieran was absolutely amazing. Our 4 year old is very hyper and excited by the animals but Kieran never showed any sign of annoyance and was just happy to share his knowledge and love of animals with us. I had quite a few more detailed questions in relation to the genetics of the animals, breeding programs and conservation programs about the animals. Kieran was more than happy to answer all my questions with so much new information. Kieran is a total asset, his customer service skills, his knowledge about animals and this zoo along with zoos across the world is amazing, and to anyone that speaks to him can tell his passion for the animals. We also went on a couple of the childrens rides that are open and the staff where all very friendly and it was a really nice day out. Even with the global situation at the moment, Flamingoland is definitely worth a visit, the distancing and cleaning procedures they have in place are great so nothing to worry about for you or your family.

Went last weekend. Covid-19 guidelines followed, sanitising sations throughout the park. Kieran who did the keeper talks and feeds extremely knowledgeable, friendly and absolutely fantastic with our over-excited 4year old and 18month old. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately I'm unable to give no stars. Probably my worst day out ever. A once good theme park and zoo ruined by management greed and cost cuts. Supposedly numbers were being limited due to Covid, absolute rubbish, I've never known it so busy. Huge queues for rides, half the rides shut, rides shutting when you were actually queueing for them. No policing of distancing, queue jumpers all over the place. Lots of food outlets shut, those that were open had massive wait times and had run out of food. Will never visit again. Whole family upset with the experience.

I went there for Halloween but some of our favourite rides were closed for half of the day but I can’t help that but at the end it was cool because they hosted a event called riverside 13 and to end the day they had fireworks. I will suggest if you have a family you should take them there.

Disappointing experience, lack of organisation, staff, direction, rides and resources... although some of the staff were polite and apologetic, overall it was a poor experience... largely due to covid issues, and felt it was consequently poor value for money. Sure it's a different kettle of fish when no covid issues... we made the best of it though.

Staff are really not helpful. No COVID compliance at all.. no gloves/ no masks/ no real care for social distancing. When the park intends to close off majority of it's rides for weather reasons or any reason at all, then they should reflect that on the ticket prices or at least offer some sort of compensation.

Great place for a little UK break, kids love it there. Handling pandemic well, clear guidelines and areas marked off and most (obvs not all) guests adhering so it doesn't seem too authoritarian. Only reason I've given 4* rather than 5 is we went Aug and Oct and there was a fair number of rides closed which was disappointing. The place has beautiful surroundings too if you care to go off site, some lovely little villages just a short drive away with plenty to see and do

Plenty of toilets and places to grab food. However, lost a star for two things. Firstly, some rides were broken or closed. Think they should charge half price for half a working park. And secondly, there were no gentle rides for older or disabled folk which is very annoying. The rides were either for adults with a strong stomach or rides for kids. Now we got a good deal on two people to with disabilities and our two carers. But what's the point if they can't go on anything, only one or two kiddies rides. Just a shame that the mono rail and mini rail weren't working.

Excellent weekend!! Unfortunately a very bad ending due to a very abusive owner who shouted and sweared at me in front of my 3 and 5 year old girls over some unwashed cups and a splash of shampoo! Making a slide show of pics and uploading to Facebook to try shame although I had the love recordings off that exact morning ! Also withholding a £100 deposit! Police are looking into ongoing deposit scams! Nothing much can be done by flamingo land apparently as there owners so mebes do some research on recommended vans and avoid 193 woodlands (Cassie Collings and Sharon brittain )

It was fun and the kids liked it but we found you couldn’t get a lot done in the one day, we spent most of the morning going round the zoo then got stuck in a queue for 3hours for the lost river ride because it was the one ride my autistic daughter really want to go on so by the time we got off it, it was closing time, it was the only actual ride we got to go on 😕

Great park for all ages. The pirate water splash park was fun as was the live pirate show- was very impressed with the performers' energy it was like being at a theatre show in the west end! Watch out for the captain throwing water into the crowd...although the front row are warned!

Great place for families. Worth the price as to pay to go to a zoo and a theme park separately it would cost over double... Staff are friendly. Ques for rides are quicker than any theme park I've ever been to. Longest que was around 20 mins but didn't mind waiting.

The rides are good, but lots are closed. Eg, cable cars and a big ride I forget the name permanently. A number were closed / broke down while we were there which appears faily common. Lots of the smaller rides / family rides were open in the morning or afternoon not all day. The zoo and farm were lovely to visit but my kids were more interested in the rides. The food on site was poor quality and very expensive. We tried the Zoo cafe, Cooplands, Chinese, Chip shop, Indian take and pizza place and waffle house but the chocolate was burnt!? (the only other place open was the food market which looked awful). At best the food was edible and warmish! Sadly uber eats, deliveroo, just eat etc had only 2 takeaways willing to deliver to the site. The supermarket was expensive and nearly empty, but we did manage to get a delivery from Asda! Evening entertainment was OK, but the ques at the bar were huge. Definitely worth a visit to the mansion (adults only) for a drink, its nice and quiet. The swimming was loud with barely enough changing rooms for the allocated members of the public lucky enough to get a slot. But, big shout out to George the manager of the leisure complex. He went out of his way to make the situation manageable for my autistic children. We stayed a week, but I think this was too long, probably a long weekend or mid week break would be better.

Great day out. Wide variety of animals. All the enclosures are excellent. The staff are knowledgeable and don't mind how questions you ask them.

  • 3/5 kaydie w. 2 years ago on Google
I wouldn't say it's the best place and wouldn't he my first choice. The rides are either aggressively extra or very childish, so they don't have that great variety. It's also not the cheapest place either considering a small bottle of coke and a small pack of m and Ms would cost around £6.... the queues are pretty long too. the toilets were absolutely disgusting, to the point where the floor was physically dirty and the toilet itself didn't flush. just small areas around the park in general weren't too clean, the place was covered in wasps and bugs in general. The animal enclosures looked a little dirty, small and mot enough enrichment for the animals and looked quite bored. I found plenty of animals just pacing around, which shouldn't occur if an animals has plenty to do. The animals were great and probably the best bit. There's some animals like meerkats, and reptiles all tucked away in the children's park, which is 100% missable. I'd say this place is probably good for all ages, but maybe towards the younger people?? a separate issue which probably wouldn't happen to everyone who goes here.... me and my friend were waiting to get on the log boat drop ride, so we stood in the queue waiting. People started to leave, so we asked is the ride even on. The staff there ignored us, so we waited a little longer. A woman in front of us asked the same question and the staff there said they didn't know and may or may not be on. We further waited for a little while longer because the staff said they were close to having it on. But then it started nearing 45 minutes just standing there so we left. When we came out, the entrance of the ride had a barrier saying the ride was broken (baring in mind that wasn't there previously and we weren't told that when we were standing there). We stood and wasted our time, and the staff didn't do anything, or even let us know it wasn't going to be on - or even just to come back later. but no we stood and wasted our time. a little disappointed

Lovely day out with the kids to flamingo land. All the staff were very helpful especially the driver of the monorail who gave my two children in depth information about the park which was really nice. Park was fully open but only 4 stars due to some of the amenities and a couple of rides not being open. Probably the start of the season so to be expected. Special words for all of the ride staff who gave a personalized experience for the kids each time they buckled up for a ride. It really makes a difference. The new ride under construction looks really good too but not yet finished so I hope to try that on a return visit

We went for a feeding the giraffes experience and to see the zoo primarily. We loved the care put into the enclosures. Lots of space for the animals with good sized viewing windows. I recommend the sea lion show, it's a chance to put your feet up for a bit and enjoy them. There's an aquarium with small windows into the sea lion pool so you can peep at them in between show times. Gorgeous spacious grounds in the zoo area, very well looked after. We didn't go on rides this time but enjoyed watching people do that. There's a ride for everyone, big or small, including a race track so you can zoom around in little cars. You can play hook-a-duck or can shooter games to win big plushies, we saw a couple of people with prizes so I assume they aren't rigged lol. There were indoor arcades if you need to get out of the elements, a small ground train and a sky train so you can view the park at leisure. We found the food where we ate to be reasonably priced and tasty. This was our first time visiting and won't be the last!

  • 5/5 Leigh H. 1 year ago on Google
We love flamingo land not only do you get to experience the rides and the zoo the staff are excellent unbelievably nice and answer any questions whether it be about the animals or the rides or a simple chat whilst playing the games it's my favourite theme park the food is a tad expensive but we always take a packed lunch and get one hot meal at the end of the day the car park is always easy not packed and fighting for spaces the games are around £4 a go bit some of them are a prize every time so my kids tend to play on them we never have enough time in a day when we go here

Absolutely loved it. Hit lucky and the park wasn't busy at all. The staff were excellent with me and my disabilities, had a great day , managed to save a few quid with my carer getting in for free , was made to feel very welcome and managed to hire a battery mobility scooter relatively cheap lots to see and do the park caters for all. Book in advance and check the Internet for promotions

Had several really good days out here over the last few years. We visited recently as a large family of 13, ranging from 4 years old to 74 years old! We all had a great time. There were attractions for us all to enjoy. My mum was in a mobility scooter, my daughter was in a wheelchair and another one of my children has a 'hidden disability'. Although not perfect , the policies and extra measures put in place by the Flamingo Lane team worked really well for us and supported us to have a successful day out, without having to leave early (which can often be the case when making day trips out with a disabled child). I actually wrote to them after our visit to thank and commend them on their accessibility measures as I was so pleased and impressed. Tickets are not cheap! But ensure you get there at opening time to make a full day of it. It's a good place to visit for a treat and or special occasion. Tickets are better priced if purchased in advance online.

First time visit with the extended family. Highly, highly recommended for a holiday.... grandchildren are 5 & 2, they had an absolute ball ❤ Lodge and hot tub were fantastic. Swimming in the morning, then the zoo, then the theme park. Pirate shows, sea-lion shows, bird show and even Peter Rabbit made an appearance. Coach house -food was amazing. As we visited in middle May, no queue for anything... such a bonus 😀 Booked up for next year on our last day.

Great family fun, lots to explore. Zoo beautiful. F1 ride seems like a massive flop. Could do with tidying up the landscape, still lots of legacy ride remains that should be cleaned up, few areas could do with a lick or fresh paint

Nice theme park with friendly staff. Very suitable for young families with lots of rides suitable for little ones. There's also a few bigger rides for the more adventurous. The zoo breaks the day nicely and there are plenty of places to eat your picnic.

A great deal to be had if you use the kids' pass app for a discount on entry to the resort. There are plenty of animals and shows to see, not much queuing for rides, but I went late April, so I guess that will vary. The only downside was food and gifts are overpriced, so take plenty spending money, overall a great day out.

  • 5/5 Richard C. 9 months ago on Google
What a day, 99% of the rides are included in your entry ticket fee, with a few charging extra such as the laser tag. The security guards are nice and make sure everyone is OK and that no trouble occurred. The pirate show was good, if not a little Cheesy with a throw back to baby shark haha. Kids loved it and that's all that mattered. Will 100% visit again.

Awesome day out, even the rain couldn't spoil it! There's fun for all age groups. Lots to see and do. The new ride SIK is great. The price of admission is a bit on the steep side....

  • 3/5 The S. 9 months ago on Google
I personally feel that this place could be soooo much better, but it needs some money spending on the general appearance and some new staff trained to realise that the customers are key. Without people visiting there would be no park. Be kind and courteous to ensure your guests get the most out of their day and you never know, they may return. The infrastructure is there but the staff let it down There was quite a few issues with rides during our visit Rides breaking down, no one talking to customers in the queue to appraise them what's happening. The park is clean and tidy but looking tired in some areas Some of the rides need bringing into the present day, the haunted mansion is an example of this. Really poor. The zoo needs some work. A lot of pens are empty, this includes the farm and the reptile house. It is very expensive for what you et. There are much better theme parks. We won't be returning any time soon

  • 4/5 William B. 8 months ago on Google
We had a fun time here, but it was far from perfect. The rides were good, but the operations could be better. Sik, was the highlight, with a short queue throughout the day, however broke down frequently. Velocity, was also down for most of the day, and cliffhanger was closed at the beginning of the day. Apart from that, ride availability was good, with most rides on quite a short queue, apart from hero, which reached 90 minutes. The park as a whole felt a bit disjointed, with attempts at theming, but it lacked atmosphere and coherency. Considering we had half price tickets from black Friday, we had a great day! But at full price on the gate, would think again about coming, unless they added a big new ride, or had a big revamp.

  • 3/5 Teresa cookie 1. 7 months ago on Google
Booking online was a little cheaper (£39) It opens from 10 am to 6 pm. There are lots of food outlets and plenty of toilets. Queue time varied from 30 to 40 minutes per ride. It was very busy and to be expected being the summer holidays. The zoo wasn't what I expected, and I thought there would have been more to look at. The children had a good day, which matters.

  • 5/5 Jonny 5. 7 months ago on Google
Had a great family day out here. Children who are 1.4m and above will be able to get on everything, but there are plenty of smaller rides for those who aren't. Queuing wasn't too bad given that we went during the school holidays. Food is on the expensive side and isn't great quality.

We love this place!! The animals, rides, staff and facilities are brilliant. I could say lots about the place and witter on and get loads of points for the review but... Best thing is go enjoy the place. Enjoy the food which is very varied and suits everyone. Look at the animals and speak to the staff and you'll enjoy it a bit more.

We went Tuesday 15th August 2023 party of around 60. The rides were closed due to power failure. Some smaller rides still open so we stayed around as just travelled 3 hrs there by coach and return journey was planned for 5pm. The weather held out, the place was clean, the attendant of rides were miserable looking, albeit a few who engaged in conversation. I can't believe these attendants are only seasonal workers May-November they don't get paid fir rest of months they have to find alternative jobs to survive. So when they didn't give a refund/ re-invite back another day I didn't feel as been done, The workers I feel for them.

Been a handful of times now and honestly best days out I've had in a while. Normally travel up to Old Malton and stay there a couple nights, getting the 840 towards Kirby Misperton directly from The Wentworth Arms, basically drops you off at the theme parks door step, really easy to get to via public transport. I find it best to avoid going during the last few weeks of July and summer holidays for schools, as it's overrun by kids and the queues are quite long, some reaching nearly an hour or more. Went in May as well as July and honestly is much more pleasant in May, hop on hop off and straight to the next ride. If there was no queue as well, the ride operators would let us go around again without having to get off and on again. Now when we did go over in mid July, the rain was absolutely tipping it down so unfortunately couldn't go on many rides during the downpour but there's plenty arcades to have a look around in and keep dry, Either way there's absolutely tonnes to do and honestly recommend doing it over the space of 2 days if you can, absolutely well worth a few days away from home :) Zoo is wonderful as well, nice to see the animals well cared for with lovely large enclosures. Been to a couple of the shows and they are fantastic as well, you learn quite a lot about the different animals as well. I will admit it is a little pricey in the gift shops and food, but honestly you can't put a price on memories. And absolutely looking forward to visiting again soon. But if you want to save a few quid, book your entry tickets in advance much cheaper than on the door prices.

My first visit in years, it was much better than I expected for a bank holiday weekend. The purpose was to visit the animals and had a comfortable walk around, and a mini train ride to boot.

Loved it. Took my son in his wheelchair. Facilities for disabled guests were spot on. Some rides had long queues but what can you expect for the summer holidays.

Great day out. Not too long wait for rides but a bit disappointed the lost river ride was shut yet again so we still haven't been on it. Anyhow we got on all the rides we wanted to go on apart from that and watched the sea lion show which was very good so we enjoyed our day out here.

My grandchildren absolutely love this place there is lots to do for all ages. Plenty of restaurants and fast food places to eat. Recommend the goumet grill. Entertainment through the day at the pirate ship ( prepare to get wet) Night entertainment every night in the club. Able to camp or stay in a caravan. Highly recommended for family fun

An absolute thrilling day out with some amazing rides. The park was quiet so no needing to queue. The resort was very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. Id certainly visit again.

Theme park and zoo. Can take your dog with you in theme park but not the zoo. Plenty to do and see. Best to book tickets online as cheaper than gate. We got our tickets via kids pass and got discounted again. Definitely return again if in the area.

Really nice holiday park. The coasters are *brutal*. Food is top stuff. Pool was nice, though the water was crazy foggy. 10/10 I recommend. Kid friendly/ Wheelchair friendly/ *I recommend going on twistasaurus*

It's a great place. We stayed at the family resort. The station caravans are large, central heated, well cleaned and pet friendly. Staff are very friendly and the rides, the zoo are all fun. Would recommend stay at least a couple of nights as when it's busy it's difficult to get round in the 6 hours it's open due to the cues for rides etc. I have only 2 criticisms 1. What's open food wise and eat in varies as website says its open but when you get there its shut. Or it says on the Website for example the coach and horse in serves food from 12 till 9, we when there for something to eat about 1:30 to be told food wasn't served until after 4pm and with a hungry child not so good. So just be watchful for that. 2. The WiFi in the holiday resort is extemely poor to none existent. Thankfully we didn't really need it. But I could imagine for some that would be a nightmare.

What a great place! Great rides for all ages. Staff were conscientious, safety aware and obviously take pride in Flamingo Land. My only complaint is the food offerings, certainly in the Zanzibar food court were limited and the burger stall staff were completely overwhelmed.

We had a great day here. There were literally no queues onto any rides, the staff were pleasant and the park was really clean. The zoo was much better than any of us expected. Its cheaper to buy tickets a week in advance.
