Free parking. Pretty reserve. Circular path around central lake. Small paths down to lakeside. Paths even and able to be accessed by wheelchairs and prams. Nice gentle walk.

Very nice nature reserve with plenty of walks and areas to explore. There's free parking, a visitors centre and 3 large ponds. Nice that it's central to Longton and easy to get too.

Beautiful place for a walk accompanied by a dog if you wish. All of the dog owners we ran in to were very friendly and handled their dog well around our puppy. The place has notices with rules, dogs on leads for example. Well maintained and looked after.

Just beautiful. The whole lake was frozen over. Obviously we kept at a safe distance but just amazing to look at.

What a lovely place to visit and walk around. It's so peaceful, and nice to see all the wildlife. Not too strenuous a walk, and the paths are quite handy for children, prams and wheelchairs.

Great place for a stroll with or without a dog. Free car parking. A visitor centre with toilets but the centre and toilets aren't open every day. Plenty of Ducks and Squirrels. At time of posting we haven't to feed ducks, birds etc due bird flu. Children will love it.

Has a free parking on site. Has a good walk. Benches to sit where there r good views. But the walk is not as scenic. It's a mini jungle walk. If u like your walk to be through shade.. this is the one. Not the best direction markings but there r maps in some places. Mark the location of your car parking on maps or u may not recollect the starting point.

Lovely and peaceful. Easy free parking and no entrance fee. Plenty of wildlife to observe, and wild produce can be foraged in season. Popular with dog walkers and families with little children. Pleasant and communicative staff in the visitor centre. The main pond currently has an infestation of duckweed which really needs clearing, but otherwise no problems.

Love this place. Lots of lovely ducks and swans to see. We saw a few squirrels too. It's a child friendly walk. Can get beautiful pictures of the lake. You can do a short walk for kids or a longer walk.

Very good designated walk around the Lower Lake. Nice Walks to the Top Lakes and Drumacre Lane. Plenty of Ducks and Swans also Birds and Squirrels, quite tame. Children feed the Ducks and has very informative Visitor Centre (See Opening Hours), with Toilets and two Car Parks, near the Entrance from Liverpool Road, south of the Village.

Lovely lil reserve but honestly my favourite part is all the fairy doors on tge trees down a long path in there, me and my friend spent a good half hour just looking at them. I also tried chasing a squirrel for a picture and it outsmarted me at every turn. I'll get you next time Mr squirrel...

Had a lovely walk round the main lake then upto the smaller lakes over the road. We fed the birds with all natural bird seeds the sun was out and although the free car park was busy the walk was quiet and very enjoyable with loads of wild plants and nature to be enjoyed. Look out for the visitors centre and the sculptures it's a lovely place to spend a couple of hours, a hidden gem, then visited the Longton Chippy on the way home first time we've been and my hubby had a super big bag of crispy chips and I had a very good crispy fish with salad, It was a lovely relaxing afternoon and of course we shared the fish and chips with the dog. Longton is a lovely village to visit.

Just under half a mile around the lake. A meeting place for all manner of local people. Dog walkers and ordinary walkers out for fresh air. Benches all the way round at regular short distances. Ideal for us oldies with mobility issues. A good car park. Recommended for oldies and families alike. The fattest duck and squirrels in the North West. Robins that will eat off your hand. A nature reserve with plenty for the photographer to take pictures of. Recommended.

Lovely place on a sunny afternoon, there was plenty of parking and it wasn't too busy. The big ponds are so tranquil, especially the north pool which was a haven for ducks and dragonflies. Lots of baby birds around with some lovely goslings by the path. Seems to have been really well looked after by the rangers, we will be going back! Dog walkers note your dog must stay on its lead, so not a place to take them for a swim!

Lovely little walk, mostly wheelchair and buggy friendly.

Nice walking park with a big lake in the middle! There are several benches to take a rest along the lake as well! It's nice to take dogs for a walk and breathe fresh air! In summer, it's even more lively with birds and ducks!

Great for kids, bring corn to feed the ducks. Great for a pram walk, and wheel chair access. Can be a long walk or short walk. Good access for car parking. Beautiful views over the water and with the autumnal colours of the trees perfect backdrop for some great nature pictures!!!
