Great hotel in such a beautuful place. Great service off hotel staff. It was great to sit and have a drink overlooking the beautiful sea to the rear of the hotel. The beach is very beautful, i walked along the sand dunes to the left of the hotel toward Talacre beach, you can see the lighthouse in the distance. To the right along the promenade is the Nova Leisure Centre, Cocktail bar and Crazy Golf venue.

Brilliant stay! We're a family of 5 (kids 13, 11 & 8) and stayed for two nights. The room was nice, clean and had everything you'd expect. Location was really good, right on the beach (we got lucky with the weather and actually had a swim in the sea in October). Pool was really good, very warm and the kids loved it - and breakfast was excellent too. Bonus points for the staff, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely recommend

Lovely place. Needed more staff, but the staff that were there were brilliant. We stopped for a drink with the dog after a long walk. (Dogs are welcome on the terrace, but not in the hotel so we were told. They even had a place for dogs to get a drink). We had a drink bitter shandy gorgeous. We decided, after seeing people's food arriving to stay for some food. I had prawn and smoked salmon salad with a side order of twice cooked chips and my other half had a cheese burger. Both were lovely. Merrin the guy who served us was rushed off his feet, but he was very polite and couldn't do enough. I thoroughly enjoyed it but could do with more staff.

A marvellous position on the beach. We only had a drink there but looking at the food being served inside it looked delicious. There was plenty of people in the restaurant. Had a look at the menu on the way out the prices didn't seem to bad. It did look delicious though. Used the ladies room, very clean and hand soap provided with matching hand cream. Will definitely be back to sample the menu.

On arrival the car park is opposite the hotel and you need to register the vehicle at reception ASAP. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean with a sea view. The staff are very polite and very helpful. And all the food we had was well prepared and very tasty. Prestatyn town centre is about a 15 minute walk where you can get local buses and trains. There is eateries, shops, pubs, and a big tesco's.

I have just enjoyed a 3 night stay at hotel, and I honestly cannot praise or big this hotel and its staff up enough, it was an absolutely amazing weekend and thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing, The staff were fantastic, so polite and welcoming, nothing was too much for them which is wonderful to see. The hotel itself was clean and tidy all of the time, even where they were having renovations and work done, it was left in a presentable Manor. The room was the eye opened, as I was treating myself I decided to go for the superior room with sea view, I am glad I paid the extra money for this, it was on the side of the hotel which still had plenty of the sea to wake up to, I was very fortunate with the weather also, so I could enjoy yhe sunrises and sunsets all from the comfort of the room, bed was exceptionally spacious and comfortable along with the large TV in the room it was just like taking home comforts away, I would like to congratulate all at Beaches hotel and I will moat definitely be visiting and staying again this year

Friendly staff. Good atmosphere overlooking the sea. Pretty chandeliers that shine rainbows through the glass. The food good. Can't beat a super soup. 🍲 Would recommend the espresso martini 🍸 ☕

We stopped at Beaches Hotel to have lunch on a chilly Wednesday. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff on the reception desk who directed us to the dining area. The dining room is lovely and I can imagine sitting on the outside balcony sipping a cocktail on a warmer day. I wasn't hungry so I opted for a hot chocolate whilst hubby ordered soup served with a bread roll. He reports it was delicious 😋. We didn't see the bedrooms but the dining room deserves 5 stars. The member of staff who served us was delightful. We will return to The Beaches Hotel but next time we will stay overnight.

We have just enjoyed a 2 night stay in a comfortable room. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed a meal with friends who live in Prestatyn, the food was delicious, perhaps on the large size for elderly with smaller appetite. The breakfasts were similarly delicious and we were able to invite our friends to join us for on our last morning. The ambiance and comfort of the hotel is excellent.

Love staying here, everything about the place is lovely. When we arrived this afternoon, the lady on reception was so nice. Room fantastic, sea view lovely. Food and service brilliant. Highly recommended, if you want a few days by the sea come here you won't be disappointed.

Visited here some 15 years ago on two separate occasions and loved it. We returned recently to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and the experience was fantastic. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Staff were brilliant, friendly and very attentive. The room was fresh and clean, our meal on the Saturday night was excellent. Tasty and delicious, again staff were brilliant. All in all this hotel comes highly recommended from myself and my wife.

Hubby and I stayed here on Saturday for 1 night we had small double room, the room was really nice and comfortable very pleased with our stay. Really enjoyed our evening meal and especially meeting the lovely Jeff who looked after us and nothing was to much trouble for him although he was really busy really nice man and so funny😂😂.

Lovely hotel, greeted by very friendly, professional staff. My room was a small double, it was very comfortable and clean. My only issue was that the room was too warm and the fan wasn't very good. Other than that perfect. Breakfast was delicious and lots to choose from, waiting on staff were lovely. Evening meals were very good a little pricey but lovely. The views are beautiful. Overall a very lovely hotel for a short break.

What a lovely little gem! Visited for lunch today. Fantastic location, it was so nice to sit outside in the beer garden on the beach front. Our dogs were welcome in the beer garden (which is securely gated) and had a plentiful supply of water. Inside was spotlessly clean and the staff were very professional and attentive. The lunch was delicious, very well presented and reasonably priced. Thank you for a lovely experience. I will be re-visiting and recommending !

Very comfortable and clean bedroom. Staff polite and obliging. Excellent meals. When we stayed over there was mostly mature guests, as we are. Unfortunately no entertainment in evening.

I have been coming to Prestatyn for many years, from boy to man. The Beaches Hotel has always great nostalgia for me, usually walking past as we stayed at Pontins next door. The hotel is not modern, fit for purpose and superbly located for a stay in Prestatyn. We thought the staff were outstanding from start to finish, so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, the new renovations have really brushed the rooms up nicely and there are some beautiful views from the window. The food was exceptional, a beautiful bar overlooking the sea which accommodates guest not staying at the hotel, enabling us to invite family over for drinks. There were a couple of points to mention, the pool was out of order, so we can’t comment on that. It did not spoil our stay at all, but I imagine for others this could have been frustrating as it was part of the price and would of been a big reason for selecting this hotel. Another point, we were told pre-arrival that a mattress would be provided for the cot (supplied by hotel), we even checked a week before our visit. The mattress, was just the bottom of the cot, very hard and a single thin sheet covering it! For anyone bringing young children - bring your own mattress!! I do not wish to downgrade my review based on these two points, because in my opinion the hotel overall deserves 5-stars and fully deserved. If you are looking to stay in Prestatyn, have the budget, then look no further this is a superb hotel and couldn’t be located any better for those lovely strolls down the front and to have a gentle walk into town.

Just used the bar and sat out the back. Nice selection of beers. Although we didn't eat the food that came out looked amazing. Dog friendly too outside.

We stayed at The Beaches, last week, first time since the pandemic having previously visited many times over the years. We weren't disappointed lovely warm welcome from reception, room & view beautiful & pleasantly updated. Breakfast plentiful served with a smile. The bar menu & food was also excellent, we've since tried to recreate some of the dishes. A lovely relaxing stay, great atmosphere, can't wait for a return visit.

A comfortable hotel, right on the seafront with great views of the coastline. Comfortable room with sea view. We had b&b and the breakfast was excellent with very friendly attentive staff and an excellent choice. It's a really good place to base yourself to explore North Wales. If you want peace and quiet, great views and good food, you'll not go too far wrong with The Beaches.

My wife and I stayed there for our 40th anniversary having stayed there twice previously around 15 years ago. Some things obviously have changed since then but we found our stay was as enjoyable as before. Beautiful hotel , fantastic location . Staff were brilliant , friendly , helpful and attentive. Room was clean and fresh . Overall a great place to stay for a short break or a longer holiday. Highly recommended by both myself and my wife.

Planned a break to north wales a little earlier and having been to Prestatyn on numerous occasions before, we decided to try this hotel for a 1 night stay and it didn't disappoint. It is Ideally located opposite the beach with onsite bar and restaurant and just a stones throw away from local arcades and other pubs. Room was fine with views of the Prestatyn hills and the breakfast was superb and plentiful. Would recommend and would certainly stay here again.

Used to come here more frequent pre covid times and thought it was excellent value for money. Decided to revisit as it had been a while. Booked a 2 night stay, with a sea view room which was perfect, number 326, decided on dinner in the bar bistro which was very nice, good breakfast choice and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It is in perfect position on the seafront even if it was blowing a force 10 gale 😂. We will be back again soon.

Food delicious but be prepared to wait over 2 hours for a two-course. Unfortunately, our family decided to go somewhere different an our annual family Christmas meal. Bearing in mind we understand that during the Christmas period with parties and work dues, times are busier than usual. But, on the 9th of December at 4:00 we weren’t expecting the restaurant to be too busy. And if this was the case, we should have been notified that there might have been a wait on food by the waitress. However, we were not told this. Arriving at 4:00 and ordered by 4:15 our main meals didn’t arrive until 5:18. The food was delicious but certainly not worth over an hours wait. We asked for cranberry sauce with our meal, which only arrived after we had ate 3/4 of our meal. And on top of that, not a single waiter came over to ask how the food was. Unfortunately, (our mistake) we had already ordered pudding with the mains otherwise we would have just got up and left. So had to wait another 38 minutes for pudding. To our delight they looked beautiful but came with no spoons and one without the right sauce - taking another 5 minutes wait for that (at this point it was laughable at how awful the service was) Again, no waiter asked us how our puddings were and nobody asked us even when paying the bill. It was only when we went up the the manager to say how poor the service was and let’s down the tasty food that we were even acknowledged. A real shame as the food is a credit to the chefs, but disappointingly your service lets you down. Next time, we will be making the trip back to our trusty local. And please tell your customers that the food is going to be a long (over 2 hour) wait for a two-course meal if it is a busy evening. And make more effort to acknowledge them.

Visited with family ,parked up and booked parking at reception, lovely chat about renovations ongoing at the hotel. Ordered drinks and food at the bar and sat outside in the sunshine. Tasty food ,plenty of it and reasonably priced . Will call in next time I'm in the area.

Stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful sea view room with nice decor, and a large bed. Great TV with netflix built in. Would have liked net curtains on the windows for privacy, and the curtain itself was a bit stiff to close. Lovely shower in the bathroom. Breakfast is great, and i love how it is bought to you. Same with dinner, good range of options for vegetarians. Friendly service for both. On the second day, breakfast and dinner took quite a while to be served, but it is understandable as the hotel goes through changes etc.

Booked a night here recently on booking.com for family reunion. On arrival there was a slight hitch in booking but this was sorted immeduately by nice lady at reception desk. Hotel itself was lovely, clean, friendly staff and food from restaurant was excellent - plenty of and tasty. Nice location right on seafront so handy for a early morning dip in sea or hotel pool whatever takes yr fancy. Seems popular for weddings as there was one going on day we arrived and following day. Hotel also has some chalets adjacent to hotel for rent/hire so plenty options to choose from. Most definitely recommend and hopefully will get to return there in the future 👍

Stayed there for a night last night. We arrived there 1:10pm trying to check in but was told check in from 2pm. We had the wedding at 2pm so we asked them to check in late around 12 and 12:30am and no problem. We got back to the hotel around 12:20am checking in was fine, went in the room and found out the toilet was very dirty but we need to use it. I rang the receptionist asking her to put the note down that the toilet in our room was dirty and I will speak to someone more in the morning as I thought it was too late there wouldn’t be any cleaner are in the hotel this time. I hanged up the phone and went clean the toilet as I couldn’t use it when it was dirty. In the morning we went to check out so start mentioning it to the receptionist about dirty toilet and she just said sorry and will speak to the cleaners . That’s it!! We paid for 1 night £174 it was quite expensive and I had to clean the dirty toilet myself . Staffs there didn’t make we fell that they take our issue seriously. So I want to warn if anyone are going to stay in this hotel and have any problems making sure you call them to come to check it straight away it doesn’t how late it is! For me I’m not going back there and not recommend this place to anyone

Comfortable beds, great views and sunsets all delivered by a team of caring staff taking the hotel rating to 4* soon to be confirmed. Food all around is good, keep an eye for the day special’s, had beef medallions and pepper sauce which were excellent. Thanks to all, will be back no doubt. TIP: make sure you book your table for breakfast and dinner as it can get busy

Been staying here on and off for Business and I can't say enough about this gem. Jo,Val,Jess and team are the most courteous hard-working and helpful front of house you're ever meet. The food is great and varied although a little slow service in the Restaurant. Rooms are comfortable and the only goto in Prestatyn.

What a lovely hotel ,despite the work that is being undertaken to improve this hotel from a 4 star to a 5 star it didn't spoil our stay . Starting with staff ever one was lovely from reception ,restaurant staff to house keeping ,nothing to much trouble. The room was a bit small but had fantastic views, beds were very comfy cleanliness first class .The food and drink very good ,not overpriced. All in all we had a lovely stay and look forward to staying again some time soon.

Really comfortable, luxurious room with sea views all round. Stayed for 3 nights. Food was to high standards. Staff were really nice, professional, warming they couldn't do enough for me and my wife. Joe & sasha (managers) special mention to them, can't wait to be coming back soon xxx. If your looking for that special place this is the one. Stunning views great staff great food.

We only stayed at The Beaches for one night for my birthday but wish we had stayed for longer! The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was unexpectedly large. Very clean all round and had great facilities in the room too. The view was stunning and falling asleep to the sound of waves made the stay so peaceful! Breakfast was included and really tasty, we also had lunch which was delicious and a reasonable price for a large portion. All food was of a great quality too.

Great location and very friendly, accomodating staff. Fantastic view if you have a sea view room. Tea and coffee making facilities available in the room. For breakfast there are plenty of options but not much for Vegans, same with the restaurant on the first floor... though the food if very nice.

To celebrate a birthday, we stayed in a superior double room with sea view for one night. We also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Everywhere including our room was lovely, clean and spacious, although the bedroom wallpaper is not to my personal taste. The staff were absolutely wonderful and even sang happy birthday after our evening meal. The general atmosphere was relaxed and staff were happily going about their business and quick to respond if we needed anything. The beach is literally a tiny walk away over a path. We had a FABULOUS time albeit a short stay and we intend to return very soon. X

The staff are absolutely amazing!! Even did a lovely touch of even giving us an anniversary card. Full of smiles and happy to help. Jeff in the restaurant is the epitome of customer service and they also make a mean espresso martini. We had a gorgeous sea view room. On the other side is a view of Pontins. The room had everything, kettle, hairdryer, tv, complimentary water but did lack the finish that the rest of the hotel has. Overall can't wait to go back. Thank you

Everything was absolutely first class. There was not one thing we could fault, from the time we arrived to the time we left. The staff were caring ,efficient and always so friendly, special mention to Lou and Matthew, in the restaurant . Michelle and Liz on rereception again absolutely outstanding care. It was one of the best holidays we have had. Thank you all, looking forward to seeing you in October.

Lunch party of 10. The fish was so dry it was returned, £13 for cold mash & sausage, soup looked and tasted like tomato puree, cold noodles and food just left on plates. I understand times are tough, we're all in business but wouldn't charge £10 for a double brandy if you want customers to return. Couldn't fault the staff, the waitress offered another or different dish of sandwiches with salad and chips which looked lovely. Sorry, first time I've ever left such negative comments.

Only visited for a lunch after a blustery play on the beach with my toddlers. We absolutely made the right choice. Warm, friendly staff, good beer and the food was utterly amazing with neither my wife or I being able to finish. Wish we could have made it into an overnighter but we had commitments elsewhere to meet. Sorry The Beaches, we will be back!!!

Had a great time here, the location is superb, really very picturesque, with the beach and coastal walks on the doorstep. We were also made to feel most welcome, with friendly staff who were always there to help. Breakfast was very yummy 😋 and so were the meals served in the bistro/restaurant, and not too pricey. You pay roughly what you would do elsewhere for a 4 star hotel. We had 1 slight hiccup with our room, spoke to the receptionist and it was dealt with immediately and another room allocated. It's a great jumping off point to visit other areas, we took a trip into Llandudno, but we did spend quite a lot of the time at the hotel, as we liked it so much.

Lovely hotel, had a 3 night stay and I do not have a bad word to say. Lovely quiet location right on the sea front. Booked with breakfast included which was lovely. Plenty of choice. The dinner menu also represented good value for money . Hats off to the staff very attentive. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Lovely well decorated room with amazing sea views. Excellent welcome tray with plenty of tea and coffee, good selection of toiletries and towels in the bathroom. The hotel is very clean in all areas. The staff are friendly, helpful and polite. They made us feel very welcome. Excellent à la carte breakfast with fresh products. Again, very attentive staff at breakfast and restaurant. The pool area, gym and sauna are a bonus. We'll definitely be staying here again. Only issue we had was with the TV that for some unknown reason, was switching on in the middle of the night, at the same time both night. We did find this very funny 😁.

  • 4/5 U D. 1 year ago on Google
5 stars for the location. Walking distance to the city centre, yet feels out of nowhere. Rooms are dated, they do a good job keeping them clean but it does show. Restaurant portions are massive, loads of wastage on everyone's plate. Really can't finish a main course unless you have voracious appetite. Facilities are good. Heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi 👌 May look pricey, but wait until you see the views
