Refused entry with my Priority Pass and quoted that fully pre booked. Actually it wasn't full of people, the airport being very quiet. It transpired rather due to a staff shortage. So I paid for a service which wasn't delivered. Why does this only happen at Manchester Airport? Really a disgrace. Of course when I politely asserted my right I was threatened with security. For what I'm not sure. Disgraceful arrogance. Shame on you.

Not a good lounge at all. Took longer to check in than the luggage. Not very friendly staff in the front desk. Still waiting for my email receipt, I did say I need for insurance. You are designated a table rather than sitting where you want. The table was so sticky even after being wiped we had to move. The seats had crumbs all over them. The table is in a cubical with plastic chairs and no views. The food is chicken. With no chips , mash or jackets. Sausage and bacon but no beans or eggs or hashbrowns. Very dry and not the best food. Cheap cafe at best in fact I booked in to save money on food and had to go and buy a burger king the food is so bad. I would rather be in the airport where I can chose a more comfy seat and see more than I can in here. A total disappointment and waste of money. I love airport lounges but will never visit this one again. And been here two hour and still not had table cleaned, everyone else around us has had plates n cups removed .. 😞 and not they have replied and provided an email that is not monitored. So they do not care about improving but would like to give everyone reading reviews a false impression. 😲 wow.

A lovely, peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, comfortable chairs, and fantastic views of the runway. What better way to start the holiday with your favourite drinks and tasty hot or cold food. The staff are very helpful too. And you don't have to stay in the lounge, you can explore the duty-free and anything else you wish.

Tired and dirty furnishings and carpets. Makes it an uncomfortable place to sit and chill before a flight. Filthy windows and glass shelving over the drinks stand. The food we had was of a good standard but due to the distance to the gates, you don’t have a chance of two hours. It’s more like just over an hour realistically on an early flight. The lady that served us, Emily was trying her best but a little unprofessional and brash in her manner, I don’t think reviews will change anything in the future but as regular flyers we are not sure we would pay the price again on future trips.

First time using Manchester escape lounge. Will not use again. I was expecting something a little upmarket not dirty and shoddy! The carpets were stained and grubby, as were the easy chairs. The tables were sticky. Felt I was in some down market hovel not in a relaxing space. The drinks were fine and the staff friendly. The food was mediocre. Would not use again . Overpriced for what it offered.

Sorry Manchester Airport.. but this service is disappointing... it the first time that I've used the lounge .. I was expecting something a little bit special to start my trip.... instead I got Small plates , small choice of breakfast and beers in 2/3rds .... No Toast .. small choice of pastrys .. and the only choice I got for a hot breakfast was sausage, beans , tomatoes, scrambled egg .. ( no fried ) and bacon ... and the containers where almost empty so I got the drag ends at best .... we also got moved half way through buy a pushy staff member because the space was needed for the 1903 lounge .... The new area was dirty for 8:30 am .... To sum up the experience.. :- Rude Staff Small choice Small plates Small beers A little dirty On a plus note ... it does save you time queuing for the other places .... but the other places are better .....

Emily and Karen are amazing. Running it so well with lovely chat and humour. I’m so impressed with the service and the selection of food and drink! Currently having a glass of champers, What a way to start your holiday.

Escape lounge assisted by Mark. What a revelation this place is. Comfy, quiet and relaxed environment with no nonsense breakfast. Food was great and the staff are professional, attentive and provided excellent service. This is after using the virgin lounge for many years. We as a party were treated much better by the escape lounge staff. Thank you, what a great start to our holidays x

Booked the lounge for a lovely start to our holiday. I need gluten free and was well catered for. There was choice of 2 cereals and you could ask for gluten free bread. They also cooked my breakfast in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. Shirley was lovely and very helpful.

We had such a lovely experience at the escape lounge, we were getting married abroad and Daniel and Alieu were kind enough to supply us with a glass of champagne and some popcorn! It really made us feel so special and gave our dream holiday the perfect start! I would absolutely love to be served by the two of them again in the future!

The staff were absolutely brilliant even though it was really busy. Mike was exceptionally good and was still smiling under pressure. Great experience as usual. He even took time to get a glass of ice for the table. Excellent Service

Decent size lounge, a bit overfilled and no seat reservations so a lot of scrambling for seats. Really poor charging points ie virtually none but amazing staff, really friendly and helpful, Shirley Moss even went out of her way to find me a plug point and a stool to balance my phone on while charging. She was fantastic and her help was very welcomed before our long haul flight

The lounge was a lovely escape from the chaos of the airport. Emily kept on coming over to check in on us and to keep our area tidy while we were here. Her customer service skills were brilliant and I would highly recommend anyone booking this lounge for their holiday if they’re able!

Friendly, helpful staff let down by a VERY poor selection of food and drinks, and tired / cheap furniture… No toast, mushrooms, hash browns or veggie sausages… No decent age / brand whisky, brandy or port. Not very VIP at all.

We arrived an hour earlier than we booked as we got through check-in and security much quicker than we thought so we asked could we come early (we stayed for just over 2 hours) Shannon on the front desk kindly said yes we could we were then shown to a lovely spot by the window by another super kind and attentive staff member both Shannon and her colleagues were excellent and very professional. The food quality and drink selection were perfect will 100% be coming here again before our next flight ✈️ it was the perfect start to a perfect holiday big thank you and thumbs up to the staff at escape lounge at terminal 2 from the both of us. Martin and Christine

I would just like to say a special thank you to Emily, who greeted us at reception on 11.8.23 in your Manchester venue. She made our experience even better , with her warm welcome and lovely manner. She was so helpful and friendly. I think you’re very fortunate to have such an exemplary member of staff. Thank you again for a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely go again.

Great start to our holiday, considering it was free for a family of four through mine and my wife's credit card perks. It did get us out of the hustle and bustle of the airport for a couple of hours. The food was average, but the host (Emily) took care of us with great service and humour, making the visit worthwhile for that alone. Can't comment if the food was worth the price, but if you have a priority pass membership and they have availability, it's definitely worth a look

Exceptionally busy on arrival, however attention to service from front of house, Emily, was wonderful. Having spent a few hours in the lounge due to a delayed flight they were a delightful and friendly example of great service to all guests in the lounge. Food quality has also improved and the policy of seating people rather than a free for all is a welcome addition to a busy lounge. Thanks

Would have been fuming if I'd paid £40 each but if you get it for free with Barclays it's very good value!

We had Kay serving us the back end of our time in the Lounge and she was an absolute star. We actually got full measure drinks from her unlike the lad she was working with. She was cheerful, told me she loved her job and was a joy to talk to unlike the lad who said he preferred his previous job. We travelled through on the 3/8/23. She’s a treasure.

Too many tables reserved for passengers using privilege passes. Had to sit in canteen area on hard plastic chairs. Not true to description. Very uncomfortable. Not enough staff clearing tables. Head waiter pompous. It was obvious he knew the regular travellers. He was gushing in his greeting of them, while after paying almost £80 for the privilege of a breakfast, my husband and I were stood around waiting to be attended to. Not enough waiting staff to clear tables. Poor, very poor. Will not recommend.

Comfortable and relaxed, straightforward entry, plenty of food and drink options and not too busy. Wife and I opted for wine (quite a lot in my case) and a delicious choice of cheeses and crackers although cooked food was available. Brilliant way to spend the time leading up to a long flight. Big thanks to Karen and the other staff members for their fun and welcoming attitude.

Jennifer looked after us really well. Very friendly and kept our table clean and tidy. She is a really lovely lady, hard working and friendly, just what you need in an airport lounge. Thank you

The experience was MADE by Hosts Emily and Kay. Emily was outstanding in ensuring that my vegetarian needs were catered for, I have never had such amazing service and such a warm friendly attentive approach. Kay was excellent, attentive and kind, Extremely helpful and service with a beaming smile! Kay arranged for my breakfast to be vegetarian friendly, as there was very very limited options. Emily undertook ensuring I had something to eat and did this extremely efficiently and with a huge smile! Both members of staff are a credit to your business and from these two staff members alone, We WILL be coming back. Thank you so much Emily and Kay.

Nice relaxing start to the holiday. All Food & Drink is self service. Sit where you want, not like Espire lounge, where you have a pre. Booked table.

The service at this lounge is such a nice relief after the hassle of going through security. We had a long layover of almost 6hrs and just ate, drank, and relaxed at the Escape lounge. Breakfast was very good, not the widest selection but the items were all very good. Drinks at breakfast, why not when you're travelling 😄. The staff were what made this lounge experience standout. Julio, Karen, and the bar staff were awesome!

Karen was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her to make us feel welcome. Very clean staff making sure tables were clean. Not too much choice food wise but something for everyone. Thanks for a good experience 👍

Booked escape lounge 1pm untill 4pm on the 1st August. Great experience in there and relaxing. Food and drinks great. Staff member behind the bar Joy was amazing, great customer service, talkative with the passengers and customers. Very helpful L

Was expecting a lounge rather than a cafe. Uncomfortable seats, no space etc. That being said the food was good. The staff however were brilliant; friendly, professional and very helpful. Great guys all round.

Great staff - smooth check-in whilst a young man was learning the ropes - seemed to have been training well, lovely breakfast food with wide variety - a full English was consumed! Almost and endless supply of drinks which is great and a bonus that they are all perfectly cold.

We've had a wonderful experience at the escape lounge this morning but without any shadow of a doubt our stay was made all the better by the wonderful Emily. Emily accommodated our family and nothing was too much trouble, we have an autistic son called Alfie and we felt seen heard & understood! Emily went above and beyond to make sure Alfie was comfortable and happy and nothing was too much trouble. Emily you are truely amazing and the escape lounge is very lucky to have such a fantastic employee that really does "get it"!!! And makes families like ours experience that bit better. Thank you again, the Smith family 😊

I only ate a banana muffin an apple and a banana. I didn't like anything else at all. Sandwiches all laced with mayonnaise salads covered in raw onion. Who the he'll wants to eat raw onion before a flight. I don't drink and no non alcoholic wine or cider. It was a lot of money for an OJ and a bit of fruit and the smallest muffin I've ever seen in my life

Really nice lounge with views of the gates/planes. Hot fresh food, good selection of pastries, fruit and cereals. Also cater for gluten free guests and have a handy QR code which clearly shows which foods contain what ingredients, easy for people with allergies to choose the right food. Great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, hot drinks and soda pop. Unlimited, all you can eat, means you can graze for the duration of your visit without being rushed. Overall definitely worth the money.

Nice little lounge with some good food options and drinks. Some of the staff are very attentive, where others appear to be in a world of their own. It's a shame that after the breakfast service finished there were hardly any changes or additions to the food on offer for lunch. But it did its job and stopped us spending a fortune on a short haul flight.

The employees that work in the escape lounge were so exceptional we didn’t want to leave for our flight. So kind, so accommodating, so generous it was truly a great time in the lounge. Daniel especially went out of his way to assist and was so kind to our entire family. Best lounge experience ever! Thank you!

Super staff. Friendly and food was good and plentiful. Clean and relaxing. Definitely worth it to be in the quiet. It’s not too close to gates, but board is updated and there are announcements.

Excellent experience. Would recommend to anyone. Never done it before but was recommended by my brother in law. Brilliant recommendation. We would have spent nearly £100 in one of the restaurants outside but in here it's a one off payment then eat and drink what you like. Already had 2 main courses! Thank you Alison Janice and Shalini excellent service. Already booked for Canada June 2023!

We came at a busy time but the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Plenty of various types of seats were available and the food was pleasant. Drinks were plentiful and a wide choice. Great start to set you up for your Holiday

All the staff are really great and fast service and tidying away. A special message for Micheal 'Mike' the barman. He is worth his weight in gold such a friendly face just the sort of person you want to have banter with at the bar before your holiday. Keeps the bar all running smoothly. Making time for all customers. Thanks again Dawn the chardonnay woman with blue hair and Melissa the rum drinker.

Premium lounge was very busy but it was still no trouble because of Mike who went above and beyond To accommodate us we ended up with brill seats. Also shout out to the bar staff who worked tirelessly to serve as quick as possible. Great stay see you next time :-)
