Really enjoyed the day out. Would definitely visit again. Wildlife roaming free. Perfect for long walks/ jogging/ cycling. The grounds are well maintained. There are also some fantastic views of the grounds. Entry to the car park was 9.50. We paid extra for access to the Japanese inspired garden which was beautiful and the Mansion which came to £14 per person.

We had a good walk around the gardens even though this time of year there's not much going on , I was more surprised it was open . But anyway, all the Christmas light features were out, so that made it interesting.. hot chocolate to go while walking back to the car was nice aswell. Summer is coming and it will be blooming with flowers .. Good park and farm for the kids if you have any.

Went to yuletide experience, highly recommend for families and great music and acting. Love gardens and amazing lights. Food very disappointing on the outside, large ques and not many options. Marshmallows cooking my kids loved it.

During a respite from the torrential rains of Storm Babet, we had a wander around the delightfully empty gardens of Tatton Park. There were more squirrels around than people! The autumn colours were beautiful, and despite the earlier downpours, the well-kept gravel paths allowed easy exploration. There's plenty more to see, too, including a tour of the mansion, a few shops, and, of course, a cream tea to enjoy!

Lovely day out. Huge space to walk with a few different routes through trees and past the mere. Plenty of sheep roaming along with deer. Three car parks. Toilets and drinks/food area at the head of the park. Family friendly. Pay for entry but price is per car and we'll worth it ad you could spend a good few hours exploring.

Went to find deer and was not disappointed! The gift shop was lovely too, as was the food in the little restaurant - even if it seemed a little expensive. Easy parking, great grounds, and the deer were amazing.

Went as a National Trust Member. The place was quiet and serene with delightful views of the River. The grounds are large and beautiful and the house is a lovely experience as well. Great for kids with a fun trail! For those unable to visit themselves I do video tours and this is one not to be missed when it is released soon! Kerriraystravels dot com. For now I'll leave you with some photos!

Great time following in the steps of Tiger who came for tea - set in a beautiful garden. Next time we'll bring our National Trust membership cards so that we can go into the garden for free. The children loved doing the rubbings if the different tea time treats. There's a wonderful carrousel at the entrance and near the car park a really fun adventure playground. We popped into the shop where we got a few pocket money toys and snacks.

Stunning beautiful grounds and stately home, which wasn’t open (mid April), there is also Old Tatton Hall, which also wasn’t open and checking the website for access and any other issues is advised. The Japanese Garden which is regarded as one if not the best in the UK is only open for access on certain days. Cafe not up to usual NT standards, pending the weather I would recommend packing a picnic and grab a bench overlooking the Great Lake, the estate shop sells some exceptional produce and is well worth checking out. National Trust members obliged to pay for parking (£8 April ‘23) Wheelchair friendly.

I absolutely love Tatton Park. The last visit was for the One Snowy Night trail in the garden. It was so well put together and absolutely great for the kids. Definitely one to head out for!

A brilliant day at Tatton park flower show. What a breath of fresh air to do something normal and meet family . Very well organized event plenty of seating areas I preferred the country living stalls outside rather than in the marquee . Just a lovely day.

Brilliant day out here on the bikes. Free entry on cycles, good quality food at the stables loads for the kids to do. Train rides, carousel, trails, deer and sheep wandering around extremely close by. Big beauty spot with extras would highly recommend.

Lovely house and the gardens seem to go on forever! Had a fantastic day. There are deer at the park too and I bought some great Christmas gifts at the shop too!

Unfortunately the parking is expensive at £9.50 but beautiful place once you're in and free Garden and house entry for National trust members. The Garden is huge and stunning with Maze and Glass houses. Well worth a visit and we love going to car meets here!

Lovely place, although I've been a couple of times now, and it's rained both times, it was still a lovely place to go for a walk and see the rain deers, you can take your dogs fir a walk around as well, there is a walkway where the deers can be found, your dogs are more than welcome to walk around there, I've seen people saying they're not aloud to, I have no idea why they have out that, we were told we can and we did without any issues. The people were friendly and although like most places, the shops are a little pricey, I didn't mind that because it was £8 to park my car for as long as I wanted, that's it... If you live local, you can walk in for free as well, me, my son, my partner and unborn bump and 2 dogs all in for £8, bargain for anything these days! Wrap up, jump in your car, take your camera and go! The kids will love it... Even more if its sunny 😂

A wonderful place to spend and afternoon. It does cost £8 per car to get in to the park. There's a large easily accessible carpark which is close to the entrance. All the essentials are layout in the courtyard with restaurant, toilets, shop etc. The gardens are large and have so much variety including a brilliant Japanese and Italian garden. There are no toilets in the garden so make sure you go before going in.

It was lovely. Merry-go-round. Beautiful Christmas with Alice in Wonderland. Kids love it.. places to eat.. very busy. I think they need a Christmas market.. there was a indoor gift area. That was good to.

Very nice day, thought parking was a bit excessive at £8, lovely walks and nice that the deer and sheep were free range. Unfortunately we went on a day where the old hall wasn't open but the dark, the walled garden and the mansion was open.

Great place to visit , love seeing the reindeers too. Such a good dog friendly place too. Lovely walks round the park and nice visits inside the mansion.

Lovely day out visiting the gardens and house

Lots to do and lively grounds, and walks. Great for the whole family with a playground and ice cream. £9.50 entry even as a NT member was a surprise but okay. The farm was definitely not worth paying entry for though unfortunately. Would recommend as a whole though.

A large estate with plenty to do, especially for families. The house is of interest and the gardens are pleasant. Standard NT cafe setups and access. Only negative, is the £8 charge for parking. The charge regardless of membership, is quite scandalous really. A lesser figure would be acceptable.

We recently had our first visit here, the play park was good although a little run down in places, Fairground rides were a great addition and kids loved them. The gardens itself were quite spectacular, it was well worth paying £1 each for the children's trail, our girls loved it. We would definitely return.

Beautiful place. Worth going with kids. Should go in mid of April for beautiful flowers. Well maintained. Have restrooms and food options. Relaxing and peaceful place.

One of my favorite parks close to home from Warrington. Lots of open spaces to walk around and Loads of wildlife. Farm goats, deers, ducks, birds and Yes loads of humans spread over a large area, instead of being packed in one spot. Great for family outings, runs or biking through the park. 1. Awesome Park, entry with your vehicle 8 Quid + Additional Fee if you want to go through the Farm or If you want any rides. 2. Lots of parking spots + Wheelchair accessible only in the parking areas, restaurants and reception areas. If you want to go walking through the fields you have stick to the roads. 3. Farm Restaurant, Yes. serves fresh hot food and beverages. I loved the venison meat and the potatoes. Sitting available indoors and outdoors. (Loads of bee buzz over though, but that's what makes the place alive, freshness all around) 4. They are have fresh ice creams, and lots of fresh veggies to purchase at the farm area. 5. Well maintained toilets. 6. Amazing lakes and pathway to walk across the shores. 7. Lots of amazing trees & Vegetation from various continents (South America, Asia and America and yes certainly Europe) 8. Best season, i believe summer as less rain and lots of greenery and flowers. 9. Play area (slides, swings etc) for kids, with few food and activity trucks around.

Large area, beautiful accessible gardens with mobility scooters available. Only issue are 2 steps by the house, fern house and rose garden are not accessible with these. There are disabled parking spots in the main car park from which a tractor train can ferry you to the farm. Bikes are also available to hire in the stable court yard by the toilets and carousel. Only given 3 stars as it is not fully funded by National Trust. Carparking is extra and we had a NT free entry voucher but this was not accepted here. £8 to access gardens. Park has deer, lakes, birds a farm along with the house and gardens. Lovely day out for all the family but expensive.

A nice walk around the park but you have to pay £8 for the park entry. National Trust members get entry to the Mansion and the gardens. Mansion is well kept and can be busy if the there is a wedding or some special event. The gardens are well looked after despite the heat. The farm is a separate entry fee to go in though.

Absolutely stunning gardens and plenty of them (Free for national trust or £9 or so if not) woodland walks and lots of space to roam in general, decent play area for the young ens and large car park (£9.50) nice cafe and plenty of seating so pretty good all round

  • 4/5 Francesca T. 2 years ago on Google
Gardens are beautiful and well worth a visit. Go early to avoid crowds. Entry is £7 regardless of whether or not you are a National Trust Member. Parkland is incredible and can spend an entire day here and still not have done everything!

Very impressive place to visit. Amazing gardens with beautiful plants and shrubs. It was raining none-stop when I went. Would be very busy in peak times.
