I and my friend are both black and had dinner there yesterday. All I wanted was to catch up with each other after not seeing them for years. They decided we’d have dinner at her favourite restaurant. However, I was not prepared for the mistreatment we were both going to face there. All the staff including The waiter acted As if they did not want us there (there were no other people of colour in the restaurant). We thought maybe it’s because we had been sitting there for a while, but other people had been in the restaurant for much longer than us and they did not receive this type behaviour! Knowing the prejudice surrounding black people in very white areas-such as knutsford we tried extremely hard to be extra nice to the staff. To avoid any stares. Apparently that was not enough. we both left piccolinos feeling watched, uncomfortable and un-welcomed. We both live in knutsford and it’s sad we still can’t eat in our hometown without receiving stares and discriminatory behaviour. If you are black/POC I’d say save your money and eat somewhere else!

lovely food and helpful staff. only comment would be that it seemed that the people around us who arrived later than us, managed to get their food a lot quicker than ours. other than that it was an enjoyable experience

Booked for my wife’s birthday because we had enjoyed the place before however it was a big disappointment today. I’ve cold tomatoes on bruschetta to start followed by grey looking crab ravioli floating in watery liquid. Stuffing was slimy and pasta edges were hard. Just looked unappetising. Dotted with bits of tomato and very tired basil leaves

A special celebration and a dinner and setting to match. Having recently been to The Grove in Chandler's Cross and being underwhelmed, we were hoping for a better experience in Knutsdord. Great service from start to finish, Cocktails, starters of focaccia, bruschetta and gamberoni were really good and promptly served. Mains of Tuna, Salmon tagliatelle, calzone pizza and my star dish of carpaccio and funghi pizza were all superb. Desserts were, somehow, squeezed in and a very pleasant bill followed! Faultless in quality and service. No higher praise.

Michele was our server and he was so kind and attentive. There was a bit of a wait on the food but it was a Friday evening. The mains could have been better; calzone had a lot of dough and less filling and my pizza was average. Michele gave us some limoncellos FOC which was really sweet of him. Practised my Italian a bit as well :)

We were looked after by Ruby who was lovely and always made sure we had what we needed ♡ The food was perfection. Restaurant was stunning and super clean with such a relaxed chilled vibe. Highly recommended.

We attended on Friday for a birthday meal and there was a party of 10. We all ordered drinks and then the food order was taken. We had decided on mains and desserts and to skip starters. It was around 50 mins before the mains was served and a few people found their food was not hot enough. Mine was especially cold and when I mentioned it to the waiter he asked if I wanted it reheating. Now I appreciate most places probably do reheat food but I did find it was a bit of a poor way to respond. It was served back to me and was hot but was not enjoyable at all. 3 of us had the same dish and 2 of us couldn’t finish it due to tasting so poor and for nearly £20 for 8 pieces of pasta the presentation could have been better. The opinion from the rest of the table was pretty similar on that the food was no more than ok. I couldn’t finish the meal and also due to the standard of food with the mains did not order a dessert. The wine was nice however. Don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Food and service was amazing. Most impressed as was part of a Christmas party and we were well catered for. Highly recommended.
