Dog Friendly Beach

Bar Tourist attraction Public beach

😐 It was very quiet at 12 o'clock on a Monday 👍 and we had a lovely hour strolling on the seafront. Our only issue was how boggy the sand was near the sea 😐 my dog has hip dysplasia and there were times I thought I was going to have to 'save' him 😒 we won't be taking him again but that's not to say... People often mention beach, dogs, walk, Nice, parking, Morecambe, great, sand, views, free,

It was very quiet at 12 o'clock on a Monday 👍 and we had a lovely hour strolling on the seafront. Our only issue was how boggy the sand was near the sea 😐 my dog has hip dysplasia and there were times I thought I was going to have to 'save' him 😒 we won't be taking him again but that's not to say it isn't suitable for all dogs 🙂 There is one toilet that you need 20p for.

Nice place for dogs and stunning views. Only down side was my dog trying to be friendly with another. To that owner, just ask me to call my dog away, not kick out at him, lucky you didn't connect.

Really nice place but unfortunately just a quick visit whilst traveling home, we'll probably go back soon and maybe give it 5stars. There was a beautiful sunset!

Beautiful beach with miles of seaside walking. Plenty of free parking but paid parking close to main beach.

Unfortunately there are signs saying no dogs allowed between May and think it said October on the beach between certain locations, forgot to take photos of the sign but they did say there was a fine imposed if caught walking ya dog on the beach, assume this is because some owners are not picking up their 4 legged friends poop. Also watch out for rip tides and quick sand so maybe not a good idea to wander to far away from the dry sandy beach when the tides out.

Dogs only permitted on beach at certain times of the year, see signage. Morecambe Central Promenade. Can get busy and area is shared with cyclists. Plenty of takeaway eateries nearby.

this would be Morecambe bay where the poor cockle pickers met their fate & many others.. me and my partner did not even realise the dangers and took a long deep stroll to the sea. I did think it was odd that the sand attempted to steal my trainers lol however we made it back safely without knowing what could have happened. I would not recommend allowing your dogs to roam freely and listen out for the tide sirens if you must go. nobody expects it but the dangers are high due to the speed of the tide & blocking you in. YouTube Morecambe bay tide and see for yourself. perhaps a few clear warning signs would have been helpful :)

Great beach. Its a shame there were so few on it the day we went. We did see loads of people with dogs out for a walk. Large and very clean walk area

A very underrated beach in Morcombe Bay. When the weather is pleasant the beach and its plentiful promenade is a lively place for pedestrians, cyclists and joggers. It's neat and tidy with hardly a piece of litter about. A number of ice cream vehicles can be found at this beach and along the promenade. The beach has a combination of soft sand, well-rounded pebbles and hard sand to walk on. Not many shells about, but plenty of space to run about and dog friendly.

Good for us and the little fella, very quiet, only a small stretch, not easy for him to escape onto the main road, been to St Anne's, a much bigger beach and Penmaenmawr, in north Wales, all good for doggy people

Not a dog friendly place The beach doesn't allow dogs there is a small dirty muddy section that will allow dogs but this is more of a mud hole than a beach Best to go elsewhere 0 out of 5

What do you need to say about going to the beach on a sunny day with the dogs. Beach is sandy. refreshments along the way.

Wouldn't go to Morecome with dogs again limited places to go between April and September. Pretty much like a lot of other seaside towns but friendliest place is Wallasey/ New Brighton free parking, great beach especially near the 'fort' . There is also Birkenhead Park whichvus a great place to park and take your dog for a long walk , cafe and toilets .... please remember to pick up any poo after your dog wherever you go and put it in a bin . We will be welcome everywhere if we are responsible and respectful owner's

It's great that there's a beach you can take dogs onto year round but knocked one star off as signage and information could have been way better, we took our dogs onto the beach where we saw others do the same but still weren't 100% sure we were on the right bit and were worried about getting fined if we weren't!

I love Morecambe to be honest. It's an underrated seaside town with just enough to do for the kids with nice beaches and playgrounds on the sea front.

Big scary dogs. Little yappy rats on leashes. Sand. Owners looking like their dogs and dog’s looking like their owners. Sea. Dog poo. Excellent views.

A beautiful place to share wonderful times with four legged fluff balls and create lasting memories. Very friendly, flat for those with mobility problems and my favourite place in the whole wide world from being a child to nearly 60. My gorgeous Maggie loved it here, bless her. Great memories and now going on my first holiday here with my new pup, Sadie to follow in her big sister's pawprints. Xxx

Plenty of free parking along the promenade for your campervan. Can be a bit noisy till 11pm with the odd car whizzing past, but we slept OK.

Just went here for fishing and for this purpose had a good day. Anyone going to fish make sure you are well kitted out with waders or wellies as it is very muddy.

My dog loves to play on the sandy beach. unfortunately we have to watch where we walk some dog owners seem to forget to pick there dog poo up. It is getting out of control and this is why the general public don't like dogs on beaches where children also play.

Morecambe; sublime sea views and slightly down at heel splendour from a bygone age. This friendly and unpretentious northern town has an underrated beauty and some of the best fish and chips in the UK.

Nice place for a walk on the beach with canine friend, Nice flat promenade for adults and children on bikes and other self propelled transport, as it is flat and smooth. Bars and restaurants close by, with good parking, being fairly cheap. Also children's play park for younger ones. Not commercialised, so no large fun parks to contend with.

Fab views, my dog Merlin loves it here, nice long prom to walk down, public loos further up, park for the kids further down and can walk into Morecambe to from here, lots to do for a day out ❤️

Love Morcambe, the promenade is beautiful. No dogs on the main beach which I think is a great idea and plenty of beaches that the dogs can roam wild & free... I've cream vendors & cafes along the way... The only criticism I have is if like to see more cafes that catered for this who don't want fish & chips or all day breakfasts... Doesn't stop me living it though

😐 Dirty dirty toilets, no toilet roll. Sticky tables. First time visiting. Large space lots of seating upstairs and down.
