Shabby and in need of a good hoover. Can't be we paid £113 for one night. Others in our party paid half that and were still not impressed. Staff, however were nice.

Clean, tidy & basic hotel room - with comfortable bed .... It has everything you need for a short stay, and it is literally in the centre of Altrincham .... I've only knocked a star off, because it has limited parking spaces. A****

Don't let the looks of the outside put you off - this is a lovely travelodge stayed in many and this was one of the best so far. Parking right outside which is £5.40 for 24 hours. Little costcutter outside and wetherspoons, what more could you ask for

Very tired run down example of a travelodge, I have stayed in many different ones and this is by far the most out dated. Heater not working, dirty old fan (no aircon) plugs not working. Smelly corridors from smokers. Filthy carpets, my sons feet are black after just 1hr in the room. Amazing view is the only plus

Parking hard to find but rang and the staff are helpful and directed us. Rooms clean and usual tea/coffee provided, good blackout curtains!! Great view of the City from up there! Reasonable prices and 5 min walk to restaurants and bars, stayed to be closer to airport and was a good choice. Would recommend.

Worst place I have ever stayed in. Dirty carpets, sheets with holes, stained mugs and dirty kettle in the room, dusty room and smelly bathroom. The staff were not all terrible but one guy in particular was the most rude, disrespectful, racist and combative hotel staff I have ever come across. He really made my stay much less comfortable. I witnessed him shout at a black mother who he disturbingly yelled at to better clean the peas her baby was throwing on the floor with the upmost level of disrespect and then witnessed him lie about hotel policies about food on the floor and made her sweep the floor! Just not what you would expect in a hotel! I clearly heard him say that he did not get paid to clean after people like her… all after he literally shouted at her from a far and everyone could hear it. I felt ashamed to be there. I will never come back as much as I fly into Manchester. Just awful.

We had an horrendous stay in here on Monday the 12th June 2023. Kept up all night by what we thought was a nearby nightclub. We left at 3:30AM to catch a flight and it was at that point we realised it was the people in the room next to us having a party with the music on loud and the smell of cigarettes coming from their room stunk out the entire floor of the hotel. Needless to say, it ruined the first day of our holiday.

We have stayed here before and had a much better experience, however this time our room smelled overwhelming damp on entering and throughout the stay. On reporting to staff the response was an apology that some toilets have been leaking and the plumber is due to fix them.

The hotel is a perfectly adequate Travelodge with the usual standard features you would expect. Large clean rooms, clean. The only down side is the building is in a tower block with 2 lifts and it can sometimes take a frustrating amount of time to get in and out.

Accessible room's shower didn't drain very quickly. Water is still on the floor in the morning. A couple of tight corners to negotiate on way to the lift. The other room was decent for what we needed.

I’ve stayed at the Travelodge in Altrincham a few times. Tonight however I was greeted by Gaz and Sarah and I just say they are a credit to the Travelodge group. Nothing was too much for them and they gave me everything I needed to have a great stay. Commendable, amazing experience, would definitely stay again. They are two great people, with a great sense of humour.

Great stay, room was warm and spacious even in the -2/-4 degree snowy temperatures. Room had tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom (not sure if all are the same) was a fully fitted disabled bathroom which was nice and spacious. Strange placement of the emergency alarm on the headboard next to the light switches, easy to knock whilst asleep. Bedside lights fitted wrong way round so they blind you in the bed. TV with all Freeview channels but no smarttv function. Nice location, close to tram/train/bus station and nice selection of shops, restaurant and bars nearby. As well as the fabulous Altrincham market

My friends were staying in a 2 person room and wanted to wait for me in the lobby for my taxi however the receptionist was extremely rude and wouldn’t let me wait for my taxi in warmth baring in mind it’s middle of January and cold. He was even threatening my friends with eviction which for the reason wasn’t legal at all because they were waiting with me for my taxi home and all I wanted was warmth and he wasn’t reasonable at all with my friends waiting for me and forced me to leave due to threatening with my friends of eviction of the 2 night stay

We visit the Travelodge every time we come for a night out in Altrincham it's pretty basic but it's always good enough for us. This time they put us up on the 9th floor, the view was pretty nice. What is handy in regards to location is you can take the lift all the way to the high street. Parking though you will have to pay for it at £7.30 for 24hours in 2023. What I will say though the price for a room has shot up recently.

Really lovely stay! The staff were so friendly and the room was really nicely located. Pretty much what you would expect from a good Travelodge in terms of amenities. Would absolutely stay again

Standard Travelodge rooms, central location with short walk to bars and restaurants. Ideal for overnight stay pre flight from Manchester Airport. A little tricky to find entrance at rear and car park can catch you out if you don't pay immediately on arrival £7.50 a night.

Ideal for Altrincham and the airport. Dog friendly. Nice and clean rooms, very spacious. Friendly staff just Don't Go through the door on the main road, find the car park.

  • 4/5 Andrew M. 1 year ago on Google
Everything is typical Travelodge, so it's good, once your inside on this occasion, see I am disabled, first time visit parked on the street, the none carpark entrance had road works v close and, outside the front door + later someone inconsiderately parked making it even more awkward. Just unlucky I suppose however still glad it were only for the night due to the inconvenience.

Stopped over for an early morning flight 🛫 but when we got up at 4am there was no water in the entire building. Not Travelodge's fault but a bit inconvenient nevertheless. Have to say that the staff were lovely.

I was having a really nice stay. Large, comfortable rooms, good location, nice breakfast. Found most of the staff really nice, it was only when I informed the reception staff the parking meter had broken and asked if I could pay them for my parking, they were rude and abusive and started treating me like a child. I checked out half an hour later, I won’t allow anyone to speak to me like that!

Fantastic location close to airport and in the Hub of Altrincham Hard thin pillows and loud music 2.30,am next room, can't be helped but the Lovely staff front desk offered me a breakfast. Will I stay there again? Absolutely! Softer pillows Please

Pretty basic as far as Travelodge goes. Stayed mid-week so most guests were trades, so quite a few vans in the car park. Unfortunately, even though it's a no smoking hotel, there were lots of cigarette butts poked out onto the window sill. The room looked tired and sparse, but to the staff's credit, it was definitely clean. Breakfast was your usual Travelodge affair. Not quite up to the Premier Inn standard, but close enough to get you through until lunch. The only criticism I'd say is get there earlier as they don't replenish quickly. All in all, it served a purpose and was what I expected for my money.

I stayed here in March 2020 when I was a team leader at Tesco and I was working long days as people were panic buying. On the 23rd March, all hotels closed and I was given 30 minutes to go and collect my things and leave. I did this and now 3.5 years later, I am still fighting a parking fine from them and they are now threatening legal action. I have contacted the manager via phone and email back in October 2020 who said it would be written off. I heard nothing since but today I received a letter from a Law Firm threatening a CCJ. Such poor service considering the circumstance

Used as an overnight stop. It is difficult to find the main entrance and reception. No free parking or EV charger. Room as expected but tv not working due to an aerial issue we would told after raising the issue. On the plus side, it has a bar and lounge area and restaurant. Being in the town centre lots of local shops and places to eat in close proximity.

Typical Travelodge for a one night pre holiday stay... convenience for the High st facilities and only a few minutes drive to the airport... The rooms are somewhat dated, but clean and quiet...

Hotel was ok for a single night stay over, and served the purpose we needed, not sure I would want to stay longer. Food was pleasant enough. Car parking chargeable

We had an emergency circumstances that we needed to sleep at a hotel nearby for one night. We had a small family room. the room was OK. The small bed was too narrow making it difficult for even a small boy to sleep. The unpleasant aspect of the room was lack of ventilation even in the bathroom. So, the room was OK. The worst thing was the breakfast. We couldn't eat despite of payment of around £8.50 per adult. Very low quality ingredients. I must say the staff were friendly.

My little dog and I stayed here one night on our Lands End to John O'Groats cycle ride. We were away 35 nights on our trip and mostly camped, but we did use Travelodge on 3 occasions and this was the first. What can I say? Perfect, uncomplicated and very reasonably priced hotel for an overnight with absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Staff very friendly. The hotel was clean and quiet. Perfect! I will use these delightful hotels again.

Worst experience at a Travelodge ever! Barely got any sleep, noise from streetlevel kept me awake and this was reaching the 8th floor. Rooms not a great standard, bathroom ceiling was stained yellow. Light above the vanity mirror didn't work and strobed. Good job I didn't have epilepsy. I only needed the room for a short time. Had an early flight. Sleeping on the plane was more pleasurable honestly. Restaurant is the worst thing I've ever experienced in my life. Service is dreadful, well if any. It was lacking and the service you did get was appalling. Waited 2+ hours for cold food to come out and chips so dry you could have fooled me for cardboard. We had a 93 y/o with us and she was served LAST, this was unacceptable. The child of 7 was served first but even what they got was cold. When we mentioned this, it visited the microwave and came back. The bite mark was still in the pizza. It wasn't remade at all. Cancelled our dessert order but couldn't get refunded for the food or even the dessert courses we didn't have. Location was suitable for us for going to the airport the next day but that was all. Being next to loud nightclubs and rowdy bars was not good. DO NOT GO HERE. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE WORTHWHILE.

This has got to be the worst hotel in Europe. Falty towers is 5 star compared to this kip. I cannot actually believe this sesspit is allowed stay open to the public. From the stench in the rooms to the service. Showers are either freezing or burning your skin off you. If you truly dest anyone, send them here. I'd rather stay in Jeffrey Dalmers apartment.

Stayed here for 1 night with a group of friends. There was an issue with our booking on arrival. Alfie and Lauren resolved the issue and their customer service was excellent!

Car park is not owned by Travelodge. 7-50 for 24 hours , had to use an app to pay. Difficult to locate the car park but overall I would use this hotel again.

Decent sized rooms, really comfortable bed. Bit over priced especially when breakfast has to be paid separately but it's a good breakfast. Full English & continental options available

This Travelodge is located in a town, the shopping centre is only 10 minutes away. The lift was working. Great view from the window. Generally, I liked staying there.

  • 5/5 Sid D. 1 year ago on Google
Perfect location: very close to the market. The rooms are clean and have all the necessary amenities. I couldn't find an iron in my room but the front desk staff was happy to lend me one. I didn't face any issues during my stay of 2 nights. The price per night is reasonable too.

Expected the worst after reading the reviews. But it was fine. Clean room , clean corridor and polite staff. Great view of Manchester from the upper floors.Much better than Christchurch Travelodge. My only negative is that the shower had a curtain and really needed a door to stop the floor getting wet. Would I go again? Yes

I can't give this place a terrible review because for the price and location it's okay. The staff are really friendly and do their job correctly. If you know anything about travelodge hotels you'll know some have been updated, this one hasn't. The staff can only make it so good, the company needs to update this hotel massively. FyI there is a £7.50 parking charge daily and £3 WiFi but a lot of good restaurants nearby too. The view is nice, the staff are lovely but the hotel is horrible.

Really nice staff. Rooms are big with nice views. Hotel was clean

  • 3/5 Ishaq I. 1 year ago on Google
On entering the room we were greeted with a stench that can only be described as cat urine. On advising the receptionist they masked the smell with a sweet smelling aerosol that lasted about an hour. The beds were comfortable enough and the price was very reasonable.

  • 1/5 Bernadette M. 1 year ago on Google
Cleanliness utterly unacceptable. My bathroom sink bubbled up with the most unthinkable slime, hair & filth. Then behind the bathroom door I found a pair of male underwear on the floor. To make matters worse, the following morning the restaurant cutlery and coffee cups were dirty. Unacceptable by any standard.
