I would recommend this place for food and maybe a few drinks. The food is very tasty and good quality in a nice environment. The only reason I've not given this 5 stars and would have give 4.5 if it was an option. Is that for those who remember the original wine bar that was bought out by the botanist, somehow managed to create a fantastic drinking environment with live music that was full to bursting 3 nights a week. That no longer happens and its never quite been the same because of this. This doesn't take away from the fact this place serves great food and drinks.

Amazing flavours, chic vibe, and decent service. The food and drinks were all fantastic - lovely cocktails, halloumi kebabs, and chilli chips. Drinks sizes were good, especially for only £8-10 each. The live music when we went on a Friday evening was a little loud for conversation, but otherwise zero complaints. There is street parking outside, and do recommend booking in advance if coming on the weekend.

First time visiting The Botanist and I can highly recommend it to others. The atmosphere and food is just amazing and the fact that they also allow dogs and have a doggy area is just amazing. Will definitely be going back again.

Visited the Botanist this weekend with a group of friends and had a great visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I had the crispy mushrooms to start and the cheeseburger. A lot of the group also had the hanging kebabs and the cookie dough deserts - both of which also looked amazing. It's a nice venue and had live music on when we visited (a Friday evening). We were the last to leave the venue around 11pm so not the place for late night drinks but would definitely recommend for food!

We had a wonderful visit to the Botanist and will definitely be returning. We were in Knutsford to take our Beagle, Copper, to Tatton Park and was looking for somewhere dog friendly to get some lunch after. We'd been to a different restaurant on the high street before but on Sundays they had very limited menus whereas The Botanist had a main menu running alongside their Sunday Lunch menu which gave a lot of choice and was a big plus for us. On arrival the staff were fabulous with our dog, giving him fusses and treats and we were really accommodating putting us out of the way. The drinks menu is really extensive, even the alcohol free selection which was a bonus. We had a Sunday roast and a hanging kebab and can recommend both, Copper also enjoyed the veggies! Highly recommended, for dog owners and non- dog owners alike

A really nicely decorated eatery/bar with great menu. The service was super with a very attentive but run off her feet waitress. Looks like a nice verandah/mezzanine area which was sweltering on this very hot day so chose not to sit there but I bet its great on a cooler day. The hanging kebab and superfood salads with chicken were succulent and tasty. Why only four stars? Because the outside seating is on the main road, which can get quite busy but everything else is top notch

My gluten & soya free meal today was one of the best I have tried in the past few months. Waiting lady was amazing too, very friendly and eager to help. Cozy, nicely decorated place. Highly recommended 👌

Tasty food and good service, but there were a few problems. The waiter didn't know what one of the items on the menu was (but in their defense, did go find out), the mussels arrived cold (but were replaced fairly quickly), the music kept cutting out, and the phone-based payment method was broken. None of these were big problems, but a bit more attention to their quality of service would raise the bar to 5 stars.

We dropped in on the off chance after a trip out to Knutsford, the girl was very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble and she left us to get settled. We ordered drinks and food which were lovely, I had cheeseburger and fries my daughter had a salad. My only criticism is the prices, I know everything is expensive now (brexit!!) But £9.95 for a cocktail that I could have knocked back in one gulp!! Ah well maybe it's me!! On the whole though very enjoyable 😉 👌

Myself and 5 of my friends met for lunch this week, Monday, at The Botanist. Service was great, our waiter( apologies I have forgotten your name) was super polite, helpful and attentive… Food was absolutely delicious (, though one friend commented that the hanging prawn kebab could have been more hot) The restaurant was airy and there was plenty of room for us around the table. There was pleasant music playing in the background so we could hear what each other was saying!! We have booked for our Christmas get together already. I definitely recommend this lovely restaurant. I had already eaten there previously and again service was excellent.

We went for the bingo and it was great. A live musician playing 30 seconds of a song and if you have it you cross it off. Atmosphere was great, we had a glass of prossecco which was lovely and the sharing cookie dough which was beautiful.

Booking our table was easy on line. We were received by very welcoming staff and shown to our table immediately. The food was excellent, the service even better. Added to that, we were entertained by a table magician who amazed our 7 year old and the live music just made the evening complete. Thank you Botonist for giving me a perfect birthday

Nice place with good atmosphere. Quite pricey some of the menu options. They have vegan options on the menu too but not very many. There was only one pudding that was vegan. We had the vegan meatball kebabs which were ok but only come with rice, chips or Cous Cous. No salad or flat bread. It was expensive for what it was.

The food was good but we had to wait more than one hour. We complained but they said its Sunday so we still had to wait. Very nice place, live music... Maybe a bit to load for a day time... After all that waiting the food came, very delicious and different from other places but in a good way. It's a must go restaurant if you can wait for the food... But we had to caught a flight so our time was precious... Its a shame we had to eat in 5 min because of the delay.

First time I've been. Loved everything about the place. The super salad can come with smoked trout or chicken. Came with a group and we all enjoyed our meals.

Just been for a Sunday roast with my wife after passing and noticing that they could fit us in. All I can say is absolutely fantastic! Great service, made to feel at home and as for the food? Magnificent! Never tasted a roast dinner as nice! We'll definitely be coming back soon! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Turned up without a booking and we were accommodated for a table with only a 30 minute wait, which turned out to be only 20 minutes. In this time me and my friend got two amazing cocktails whilst waiting in the bar area !! Highly recommend the gin cocktails with rhubarb!! The service was pretty good! The staff very pleasant and the food absolutely delicious! I got the lamb roast and my friend got a vegetarian roast and everything was very tasty! I think this place had a good atmosphere! I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

The setting, cocktails and food are just amazing VS price. Relaxed environment yet well decorated. Staff is kind and hardworking. Worth trying the kebabs and strawberry daikiris!

Place has a lovely atmosphere and the food is pleasant enough, however the service was awful. We finished our main course and rather than being asked if we would like to see the dessert menu, the plates were taken away and we were then ignored for 20 minutes. I then gave up, asked for the bill and left. Not what I expected. Has put me off going again

A lovely bar and restaurant. I only visited for drinks but every time I do the atmosphere is exceptional!

Couldn't have been better, my partner and I both had a great time, outstanding service! (Regretfully I can't remember our waitresses name) food was impeccable, portions were generous and for the price it is seriously worth it! Live music was a mood setter definitely my new favourite place to go! My partner thoroughly enjoyed her birthday meal!
