This pub is a lovely homely place that belies its rather neglected exterior. It is in need of external refurbishment to attract passing trade. But, once inside, the pub is clean, comfortable and provides good value food. The staff are consistently friendly but polite and professional in their service. It really is a much under-rated little pub/restaurant and deserves far more patronage.

The burgers were great, dinner service for me, was pleasant Lunch table service was slow tho, wasn’t busy so I don’t know why, took me a long time to search for a waiter Drinks aren’t served as described on the menu such as pina colada didn’t come with the pineapple slice and the cream soda didn’t come with fresh strawberries as written😔 it’s fine but the fresh fruit would have made it so much better Despite all that, it is a very nice pub, I do recommend :) and it’s connected to the hotel 👍

Please never go here. Service was slow and they took half an hour after we finished eating to take our plates away and it wasn't busy. If you're the type to complain that weatherspoons food is bad then you'll be surprised how much worse it can get. The whole place is in serious need of a makeover and has a mouldy sad 80s feel. I had a pie with mash and peas and it just looked and tasted sad. The other people I was eating with got gammon and chips and a "roast dinner" where the chicken looked like it had been frozen in the bottom of a freezer for 12 months then grilled until it had to be sawn through. The potatoes also had a funny taste nobody could put their fingers on. The food was also horribly overpriced as the mains cost 10 pound each on average. I'm not sure why most of the reviews of this place are good either unless the quality has only gone down as of late.

Had a wonderful family meal for Mothers day tonight. Seated immediately although we had booked. Staff friendly and attentive. All seven meals were very enjoyable. Yes we did wait but it was busy with mothers day bookings. Would definitely return. One little niggle, child's meals could be served on cold plates or dishes so they cool quicker. Thank you to all the staff.

Very nice meal at a reasonable price. Only complaint was that the food we originally wanted to order had sold out.

Really lovely little bar/restaurant with outdoor seating area, it is next to a busy road but is set back. The restaurant has great prices, lovely food menu and is family friendly. Well worth a look close to Altrincham town centre and just near John Leigh Park, has adjoining hotel. The menu would suit most people and the restaurant area is very nice.

lovely pub and food. The young gentleman who served us at the bar made the whole place 5 stars! He was extremely friendly and quick with serving us. Very rare to get such good customer service nowadays - if I owned a restaurant, I'd definitely be recruiting him! Ordered the trio of pies and asked if I could swap the chicken tikka for another lamb and he did it for me without any issues.

Just come back from an absolutely lovely evening. We were in a party of 11 and nothing was too much trouble. All our food came out at the same time and the lady who served us was brilliant. The service was amazing and the food was too. Thanks so much for a lovely evening

Just had my standard Thursday night meal at the George and dragon with my family. Except nothing about this experience was standard due to the incredible service provided by Matt and Marta, thank you so much for such a welcoming and enjoyable experience with a great new menu. I simply can not wait to come again!

A lunchtime visit today, where me and my friend enjoyed a beef burger and chips and vegan burger and sweet potato fries. Food was really nice and the service provided was excellent. We had two coffees ☕, which were served quickly and tasted ok. Good access for disabled. The place was tidy and clean. Fairly quiet at 13:00, a few tables taken. Toilets 🚻 were clean and there was plenty of parking. You have to use the tablet / pad on entry to the pub to register your car in the car park. Very straightforward. I'd definitely go back. Thanks for having me 👍

Phoned to book a table at 9:30pm as we were travelling a long distance and wouldn't arrive until late. When we arrived at 9:30pm we were told they were closing early, after explaining we had already booked a table, we were told fine but no more orders after us. We were made to feel like a massive burden, there were no pleasantries from any of the staff, instead we were rushed to order. When the food arrived it was slammed on the table Infront of us, without so much as a look in our direction. The waitress walked off, never to return to ask if we needed anything during our meal. A different person took our plates away at the end of the meal and asked if we wanted any more drinks, we replied with a YES but 2 minutes later we were asked to pay our bill instead.... No extra drinks provided. When it came to paying the bill we were told the till had already been closed down, so in what seemed like a massive inconvenience to the person serving us, we were asked to go to the bar so she could sort us out. At no point have we been asked if everything was ok, was the food satisfactory. Working in hospitality I would hate for any of my guests to be made to feel the way we were made to feel. Unpleasant experience from start to finish. Food was nice, not that anyone wanted to ask us about it.

I recently visited The George as I have often before. On a previous visit I ordered the garlic bread with cheese and received a healthy portion of about four decent slices of proper garlic bread for around £4. However on my last visit, to my dismay it seems they have resorted to buying in what can only be described as something you would buy from Tescos. You know, those diagonally cut, small pieces of garlic bread that you pay about £1.50 for a whole loaf and you get around 12 slices. And then to add further insult, they have cut the portion size in half, so you only get TWO tiny slices and they charge you £4.95 for it. It's a mahoosive rip-off and I wouldn't recommend anyone ordering it unless you're a fan of being scammed. Fortunately, the staff were very understanding as they've had nothing but complaints about this and they did refund me one portion, but whoever is in charge of the menu, needs to sort this out. It's a joke!

I visited this Table Table for the first time on Sunday 26 November 2023 with my very elderly mother and three other very elderly friends and relatives. They all ordered a turkey roast dinner, which was really tasty, apparently. I ordered the vegetarian lasagne with garlic bread and a side salad, which was absolutely FANTASTIC! Only two of us had a dessert, both choosing the triple chocolate brownie and ice cream for dessert, which was delicious. We were served mainly by Natasha and Rebecca, who were both really lovely and friendly. The only reason I've reduced the rating to 4 stars was because of the delay in being served (a large family party came in just before us) and the generally shabby state of the restaurant and toilets, which led me to think that the food would not be that good, but how wrong I was! It's also worth noting that the various coffees and teas (all made with the press of a button on a machine located behind the bar) were all pretty poor. Not the fault of the staff, of course. Just poor equipment and poor products. The place needs a refurbishment but, no doubt that would cost a fortune. If you like tasty food at great prices though, I would definitely recommend.

Stayed recently for two nights. First night was fish and chips. Both were over cooked and dry. The mushy peas were fine. First breakfast was over cooked, dry and bacon like cardboard. Second night dinner was mushrooms to start, acceptable. Main was a burger. The chips were overcooked and dry and the burger was bland. The onion rings ordered as a side, were a strange grey colour. Second breakfast was terrible and overcooked again. Wait staff were friendly but the kitchen staff obviously can't even deep fry Brake bros goods. Oh almost forgot, the liquid served at breakfast called coffee, was most definitely not coffee. I honestly do not know how Table-Table stay in business as they are all terrible.

Dead atmosphere, staff coughed into her hand then continued to serve us without washing her hands. £18.75 for 2 baked potatoes with chili. Bland edible food, chili thick brown sauce looked like it came out of a can, no fresh mince here and I'd have expected that for almost a tenner. Won't be back 👎

We just had a pub lunch here, the service was so slow despite the pub not being particularly busy, had to go find someone to seat us. We ordered a kids mac and cheese , chips, jacket potato with cheese and beans. The chips were burnt, the mac and cheese had no flavour and the jacket potato had limited beans and cheese. When we finished our meal no one was around for us to pay so I had to find someone to pay as the service was so poor. I wouldn’t personally eat here again, food was awful and service wasn’t any better

On a Bank Holiday Monday I went with a friend who had just been to enquire about a relative in hospital. We stopped off at the George and Dragon for fish & chips with bread & mushy peas & tartar sauce. It was delicious. If I’d d had a starter I don’t think I would have finished my dinner.

Met some family here for a meal. Overall friendliness of the staff was impeccable. Wide range of drinks to choose from. Good menu to choose from although when my Dad chose his meal they were all out of gammon steak which was really dissapointing and for a Friday night which was very quiet you would think the pub would stock it, the staff should have told us before we sat down to save the awkward moment when the waitress was waiting for him to choose another meal. Food looked great although had to bring it up that the garlic bread was missing from the Mac & Cheese it half the reason I chose the dish. Must say though I thought it was polite having worked at at a pub myself to wait for everyone to finish the meal, the staff started taking it away before my elderly gran had finished which got me cross. Seems like the staff were rushing us and that's not fair you come to a pub to enjoy a meal it's not like they were busy! Puddings were okay if I'm honest should have been more Sauce with the sticky toffee pudding.

It claims to be family friendly but the staff had no idea how to process the children's menu there was not a table to seat more than 3 people. It is definitely more pub than restaurant. Quite disappointed as we went knowing the table table brand

Staff really friendly. Carpark is tiny and difficult! Drunks and good service were quick however quality was low - fries were burnt. Burger was okay. Toad in the hole had hardly any gravy.
