I have been here 3 times now and although my family regard it very highly I consider it a reasonable average Service is good and prices are fair and everything is fine, but I have consistently received large chunks of very dry chicken in my curries which I don't enjoy. The biryani was dry too and the sauces, although perfectly fine, are a bit formulaic

I go out for a curry with a few friends regularly and we try and discover somewhere new each time. This place really impressed all of us - the food tasted really good and the portions were generous. The restaurant itself was rather small and being downstairs with no windows had the potential to feel cramped but they tried to create a modern atmosphere. Traditional Indian music played in the background but it wasn't too loud and my friends and I could chat comfortably. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive. We will definitely go back here!

Excellent curry in the heart of Knutsford. Comprehensive menu with some old curry house favourites mixed with some less familiar dishes. We enjoyed our meal especially the chicken karahi. The portions are huge, so come hungry!

great friendly staff who take their time to get to know you and you family. the food has always been great and i would recommend the chicken tikka masala. it is also a cheap restaurant with great lighting which improves the atmosphere of being underground overall i would recommend and will be returning

What a wonderful experience we had, really enjoyed the excellent service, the quality of mains and starters were exceptional. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Two male staff members who attended to us, one who was management were amazing and knowledgeable with their advice on food choice for middle eastern customers. The barman who came a little later looked after us for most of the time with drinks top up etc and asking if we needed more of anything. The owner friendly manner and conversation made us feel ever so welcome and special. It was a special day which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended to anybody who would like excellent service and quality food experience. Would like to return in the future. A huge thankyou to all staff there.

In the local area for the first time and came across this through Google reviews. It was a Monday evening so quiet. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was top notch. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal tonight at the Shamoli in Knutsford. The staff were courteous and pleasant, the food was beautifully cooked and a class above most restaurants for Indian food - Subtle and delicate flavours in the Dopiaza and the Dansak curries. We'll certainly be back there on our next trip. Best to book in advance to avoid disappointment!

I usually go to margao but that is closed for the time being, so I thought I'd try Shamoli. I ordered a take out, Chicken pakora for starters, and lamb shashlik, onion rice and peshwari naan for mains. The pakora is different to what I'm used to, they're small minced balls and not very good. The shashlik was very salty, and the onion rice had a strange taste to it, and oily. While the naan was very undercooked that i needed to put it in my air fryer. On the whole I won't be going back and I don't recommend it

First visit here, meal was excellent, poppadoms, shami kebab, chicken chom chom, north indian garlic chilli and 2 naan, large portions , loads of chicken quick and friendly service, definitely revisit when back in the area.

Came here just before Christmas for an early Christmas get together with friends. As a curry lover I can say this was right up there with the best I have had. Thoroughly enjoyed it and look forwards to visiting again one day 😁

Popped in for evening meal, in area on business, small frontage, go down stairs to a lovely atmospheric restaurant, friendly guys, lots of choice, Try Akbori yum yum, best Indian food I've had, service is great, pricing, particularly for the area is very good. Will be back when I'm next over that way.

Food is very tasty. Staff very attentative. Everything was great until the table of 8 shouty people turned up, with 1 being able to whisper over 3 fields. Luckily we were nearly ready to leave.

Stopped off in Knutsford as was on route through.and found this lovely gem of a restaurant. Clean well presented, very friendly staff and amazing food. I would highly recommend a visit.

I have been coming to the Shamoli for 20 years and have always had excellent meals and service. The food is always delicious and of the highest quality and the staff are always extremely friendly and professional. Definitely the best curry restaurant I have ever visited!

Lovely food, Sat in the restaurant and ordered coconut rice, kashmir curry and a peshwari Naan was beautiful and sweet , huge portions, just sorry I couldn't finish it all. Will be coming again.

Disappointed in chicken tikka masala sunday (9/10/22). Have regulary, but last few times it has been so tasteless ,more like a mild korma,same consistency and total lack of taste. Better quality in supermarkets "Take Away's"!!!

We come all the way from Oxford to visit this place. The food is always delicious and fresh, the staff are so friendly and kind and they genuinely care about their business and customers. We’ve had many takeaways from here - always hot and tasty. Dining in is also a good option, especially on Thursdays and Sundays when it’s banquet night (great value for money). Since moving away, we have tried several Indian takeaways and no where comes close to Shamoli. Best fragrant pilau rice around, naans are fantastic, chips are crispy and hot and the curries are always excellent. They really do have a fantastic chef. I couldn’t rate this place highly enough!

Blown away by the meal we had last night. Vegetable Karachi absolutely amazing and the chapati to die for. We were fully accommodated as vegans, food was explained to us in detail and it was delicious. Staff were helpful and lovely. Thank you.

Out for evening meal, four of us, different meals, well presented, very tasty. Lovely staff, very friendly, will be back.
