Lovely venue, smart country style pub and lovely menu with lots of choice! Sadly some of the staff were a bit rude so that was disappointing. We left without paying for a bottle of Prosecco that had been added to a tab purely accidental and we returned to settle the bill but were met with a hostility and a bad attitude and made to feel criminal

Fantastic, the perfect place for a full hot breakfast and cuppa. Couldn't fault the service, the staff are wonderful and the food was superb. Excellent value. Best spot in Knutsford, a hidden gem in terms of places to eat for Breakfast in the town.

Superb location right in the heart of the action. Positives: Excellent room and very comfortable bed. Good value. Nice bathroom. Lovely pub. Great food. Knutsford is gorgeous. Negatives: Shower pressure/heat is just adequate. Aircraft noise will wake you at 6.30 am. Not for those wanting a cooked breakfast, cornflakes and fruit only. No parking, but Tatton St Carpark is very close, safe and costs are about 3 pounds overnight. One other negative is that there seems to be nobody really in charge. The hard working bar staff handle the check-ins/concerns/questions and they seem a bit ordinary in hotel matters tbh. Also, very telling that reviews get no responses from the business owner. Do they care? Will anyone at the owner even read the reviews?

Visited this place today for our meal. 5* all round. My wife had the Gammon with the trimmings and She said it was beautiful. I went for the mixed Grill and It also was beautiful. My wife could not finish Hers but I cleaned my plate. Lovely place. Very attentive Staff Excellent Food. Nothing else to say other than this is well worth a visit. Thanks.

Great pub, nice atmosphere and the food looks great. Limited beers as it's their own beers but there are run of the mill drinks. Nice pub to sit in on a Sunday. Had a chap playing guitar and singing, not loud but just enough. Highly recommended.

The Angel is always a great place to eat out. The staff are friendly and helpful. Along with the Lord Eldon, it is one of the few places left in Knutsford, which you can call a proper pub.

13/10/23: poor toilet facilities. Confectionery was old and stale. Not full selection of Joseph Holts ale. No Black on. Service was good, offered alternative Trailblazer which I know to be good!

Just spent 2 nights here as we went to a wedding in the local area. Cannot praise Justin and Ethan enough for there kindness and providing comfortable and very clean accomodation.Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and the food is excellent. Will be back.

Fantastic service couldn’t ask for anything better Debbie was fantastic as she was rushed of her feet at this time of year she managed to still get our order and drinks within 45 mins of waiting which is unbelievable great considering the area and busyness, the food was amazing nothing wrong at all spot on thanks to Lee josh Enrique

Stopped off here for our evening meal and were happy with the food, prices and service received. The waitress who served us was very busy but this didn't stop her from being really pleasant with every customer. The food was tasty and of sufficient quantity. I had steak pie with chips and gravy, followed by sticky toffee pudding. I did find the pudding on the sweet side but there was sufficient custard to minimise the sweetness.

Nice food at affordable prices in pleasant surroundings with friendly staff, what more can you say? They have a great a offer on wine, if you buy two large glasses you get the rest of the bottle for free.

I don't normally write reviews but after my experience here the other night I feel compelled to. The food was absolutely outstanding (we had the pies) and, despite being busy, Karen was extremely welcoming and looked after after us perfectly. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

Didn't stay in rooms but had dinner for 4 people which was fish and chips , scampi and chips , beef baguette and a wrap with the diamond beer for me and coke , soda water and a strong bow and it was 100% could not fault it great beer great food and staff were very helpful and friendly, would highly recommend.

We stayed for two nights in late January (Sun & Mon nights). Excellent value for money, comfortable room (#1) , although the bed was a bit too soft for us : but didn't impact on our stay. Nice pub, great choice of food & drinks, and very friendly manager & staff. Definitely recommend it for a stayover in Knutsford. A little word of warning though : some of the pubs close early on a Sunday (like 7pm early 🤦‍♂️), and Tatton Park was closed on the Monday we were there, so plan accordingly. 👍👍

We stayed for one night in room number 1, a beautifully appointed room with an excellent ensuite and a very comfortable bed. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Reasonably priced, the starter I got Halloumi Popcorn pieces was delicious but the main (Ultimate Burger) was absolutely dreadful. Be reluctant to visit again for food when there's so many options available around Knutsford.

Decent pub food at a good price for the area. Dog friendly. Have some 2 and 3 course deals so you will definitely leave satisfied.

Perfect location, great value! Knutsford is a gorgeous little market town and the angel is right in the centre. Located above a fab pub in an authentic old building, well appointed rooms with brand new beds, new bathrooms crisp white sheets and fluffy towels. Friendly staff to welcome you and you own key should you need to access late at night. They even drop a little breakfast hamper at your door in the morning! No parking but free to park on street after 6pm and there’s a car park 1 min walk away, very reasonable prices. Knutsford’s cute shops & cafes on your doorstep, right next to the stunning Tatton Park, it’s perfect little bolt hole for the airport or any local events. Thanks so much we’ll be back!

Wonderfully accommodating as 24 cast n crew from Knutsford Little Theatre descended upon them. We did pre-order and nice food too.

Nipped in for a quick pint as walking around. Nice boozer with plenty of choice. Really nice old photos of Knutsford and the food looked really nice. Will be back to try the food. Ideal location in centre of Knutsford

We had a lovely meal on new year's day - being part of a big group (22) it can be very hit and miss with food coming out slowly and orders just not quite right however the staff at The Angel did a fantastic job. The food arrived out all within a very short time, was piping hot and good quality. Our server Debbie did an amazing job for us as did the kitchen. The whole thing was seamless from the booking stage, increasing numbers on a regular basis and on the day, well done team Angel!

My husband and I are regulars in the Angel.We travell from Chester and always have our meals here.The staff are outstanding and wait on you personally.Great food .Thank you Sue and Ken 👍

Lovely place had a couple of beers and food all excellent,,, but the best for me was the gentleman behind the bar actually played Led Zeppelin for me on the in house music system,,, service above and beyond👏👏👏

I cannot believe the experience we had at this pub earlier this evening, it was my mums birthday and I brought a cake for them to bring out after the main meal. For them to ask my mum on the way to the toilet if we wanted them to bring her cake out now!!! Are they for real! Not only that, my mum ordered a steak kebab to be given a lamb kofta kebab and they said they would change it for a chicken one which took 25 minutes to come out, so my mum sat there watching all us eat on her birthday and had to wait 25 minutes after we had all eaten to receive her correct meal. We will not be returning, whether you give us a 15% discount or not it’s not good enough. My mum never told me until leaving the restaurant that you ruined her cake surprise, luckily for you.

No disabled access to this hotel. No lifts to rooms. Bed in room 7 was massive and comfy. We didn't eat here but hotel is clean with lovely staff

Bar staff brilliant. Bonus breakfast left outside room door, nice gesture . Would recommend this hotel . To late for food but staff pointed to many other places near by. All in all fab experience.

Very welcoming, friendly staff and manager. Always struggle to find places with my very large puppy but always made to feel welcome here. Plus the food is always spot on!
