If I could give this place a 0 star I would. Really unhappy with the quality of the food. The bill was £300. The soup was awful. Owner is aggressive. I have had better steaks from Aldi. The chips was undercooked. The chicken was tough. Hair in my food. Honestly the list is endless. Without a doubt this restaurant is at the bottom of the list compared to other restaurants in the area.

Absolutely fantastic evening with my two best friends. We visited on Friday evening. Great atmosphere, friendly, efficient members of staff. Two of us have different food allergies, which was discussed with the waitress, who assured us that having discussed it with the chef, that there wouldn't be a problem as each dish is cooked from scratch. The food was delicious. We are looking forward to a return visit soon

We have been eating regularly at La Famiglia since it first opened (in Hale Barns nearly 20 years ago) and can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal. The menu is extensive and there are always excellent specials. The best Italian restaurant in this country, in my experience. Lovely people and great service.

So many times I have been disappointed by Italian restaurants in Hale Village. La Famiglia however didn't disappoint! The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and very attentive. There was a slight wait whilst the table was prepared but we were quite happy sat chatting and drinking in the bar area. The choice and variety of meals on the menu and specials board was great - everyone in the group had plenty of choice. The food was excellent. Everyone left the restaurant delighted with their choices and full to the brim, as the portion sizes are very generous. It was a lovely sunny day and we sat in the conservatory at the back of the restaurant with the canopy roof open - it was fabulous. My only criticism would that the extraction fan for the kitchen was a little noisy and occasionally we felt a little rushed by some of the staff. Would we recommend La Famiglia? Absolutely! And we will return again soon to sample more of their delicious sounding dishes!

La famiglia is my favourite restaurant to eat out at! The staff are all so attentive and the food is absolutely amazing! I come here often and it's Perfect for any occasion! Birthdays, nice lunches, celebratory dinners . my experience has always been amazing and the staff make sure you have everything you need and they properly take care of you! Love this place. Would reccomend every time!

My family and I visited for the first time for our annual Valentines dinner and this place was amazing. Great fresh delicious food, wonderful authentic italian staff and beautiful decor. Well priced too! This is our new regular spot now!

Such a lovely, warm and relaxed atmosphere as well as good food and generous portions; proper Italian hospitality. Have just been for a big family birthday meal and couldn't have been nicer, especially with young children. Staff so friendly. This is always my go to italian in the village, have personally never understood why people opt for Cibo, i have always found it a little pretentious and the food average.

Just had a lovely meal here, cosy atmosphere and superb service. Homemade pear dessert was divine!!

Best Italian in Hale, people go to Cibo to be seen, but the food here is much much better and tastier. The atmosphere is chilled and friendly and you’re not rushed.

We were booked in to meet relatives for lunch. They were travelling and were massively late. La Famiglia couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. They kept our booth for us for the afternoon and wouldn't take payment for the drink we had whilst waiting until we returned later and they put it on the final bill. The service and food was fabulous when the family finally arrived. 100% will be going back.

Visiting the area and tried out La Famiglia. Wow, what a discovery. Excellent by any measurement. Fancied a combination of two pasta dishes on the menu but with a bit of spice and that is exactly what arrived, the chef is very good. Our host and staff were attentive and efficient. Only problem is that I live 200 miles away.

Found a lovely Italian Restaurant last night, right opposite the train station in Hale. It was delightful. Authentically Italian, the food, the wine and the service was 1st class. Well worth the visit and one I'll be repeating !

Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in the area. We’ve been regulars since it opened and have never been disappointed. Fantastic food, great service, reasonable prices. Highly recommended

Quite noisy place. Linguine was good. Ribs were terrible- did not look or taste like fresh cooked, very dry. Tuna in another linguine dish tasted like from tin rather than fresh cooked. Food serving Farley slow - had to wait about 35mins after finishing starter until main course served. Sorry, but will not return. Got better place in Hale to have Italian.

Best food bar none in the whole of hale altrincham and I have lived around here for last 20 years . I had veal chop Saturday was fantastic service is always great too . Owners also are Brilliant. The clientele that visit the place tells all also . Thanks again @lafamiglia

Absolutely amazing food in the most characterful restaurant in Hale! The owner, Pilione is an absolute joy! He’s also an unbelievable chef and the most brilliant host!! Honestly, this is without question the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in all of The Hale/Altrincham area!!

Lovely attentive service and really good food! Reasonably priced also with lovely interior, piped music and open roof conservatory right at the back. Despetively spacious once inside. Small bar area to the right and restraunt to the left either side of entrance that goes much further back than expected once inside 👍🏻 Am not in a wheel chair but suspect it should be managable and accesable as all on the same level and wide enough walkways. There was a V next to a number of dishes but did not pursue. Menu downloadable in PDF from there website.

Must have picked a bad night. So disappointed and it ruined my husband and my evening out. It was busy so made allowances for that but the customer service was shocking. Ended up leaving after an hour of waiting for our starters. Only got to eat a couple of Olives so can’t comment on the food. My complaint is poor communication we were left alone. The bottle of wine we ordered didn’t arrive but the young waiter noticed we did not have any drinks or food for that matter on our table and so took a second order for the wine. It arrived unlike the food. The icing on the cake was watching two tables of four who arrived about 40 minutes after us get their starters. I asked where ours were and was told there had been a problem but it was coming. I had only ordered olives as my starter. Then we waited a further 10 mins (the Olives were brought out after asking) but the cod cheeks were no where to be seen. We decided to pay for the drinks we had and leave. I explained that I was disappointed that they had not communicated earlier that they had a problem with the starter and was told by the same person who told me there was a problem that there wasn’t a problem. So he lied I guess. By now I was really fed up with his attitude. They charged us £25 for a bottle of house wine that we had only had one glass each out of. So I asked for the cork to take it with us as was not going to pay £25 for a couple of glasses of cheap wine. (Googled it a £4 bottle of house wine for £25!! ) We had had two glasses of champagne whilst waiting for our table so paid for those too. Where is customer service now a days. First visit to this restaurant and nothing about the service has persuaded me to go back and give it another try. Oh well you live and learn.

Our experience at La Famiglia was security be to none. Going on recommendation from some family friends, the entire afternoon was very enjoyable and were accommodated by the excellent staff that worked impeccably to ensure the meal was on point. We went for the three course Sunday menu (22.50pp / Feb 2019) and had Crab & prawn cocktail followed by a Leg of Lamb and a Limoncello Cheesecake. Each course was beautifully presented and at a good reasonable speed. As we had our three year old little girl with us, they were great to accommodate us in a nice quiet corner of the restaurant. The interior was lush and we all commented on the staff and experience as a whole being perfeto! Grazi Grazi ✌🏼🌈

Really really disappointing. Waited over an hour for starter, which we flagged up. When the food finally did come we were offered no apology, it was just plonked down aggressively on the table in front of us. Mushroom starter was at best bland, at worst bordering on inedible. Steak was tender but undercooked and accompanying sauce really not great - again mushrooms. For an authentic Italian restaurant I would expect much much more.
