Great country pub, loved the outdoor seating setup. Food was well made, though slightly on the expensive side. Perfect place for me and the dog to spend a Sunday afternoon lunch.

An excellent meal of Roast Turkey and all the traditional trimmings followed by Christmas Pudding with Brandy Sauce, and a warm pub on a cold December winters night. Good service and fair prices.

Stopped by for an evening meal. Staff were superb, attentive, polite and very helpful. As a party of 5 everyone enjoyed their meal, the lobster fish cakes were superb. Portion sizes just right, not too big and not too small. Great place and wonderful staff, will definitely call again when we are in the area

Nice drive. Plenty of parking. Seating indoors and out. Particularly loved the bowls lined up for four legged friends. Some pasta portions a little small, but otherwise full marks.

Amazing place! The seating is really nice, tons of outdoor seating it looks beautiful. The bathrooms were really clean and nice! The ice cream was amazing and the fresh orange juice. Would definitely visit again!

We visited this evening and had a lovely meal. We had the 3 course mid week deal, and enjoyed each of our courses. It’s a great idea having a small pudding and coffee, something a little different. Only thing that could have been better was the custard!

If you are a vegetarian I would say avoid this place. There is hardly any choice, and why is it a meat eating person who has lasagne gets the choice of chips or salad, but a vegetarian having a veggie lasagne only has the option to have salad, and chips have to be paid for as an extra. The veggie lasagne looked like grey slime, really not appetising at all. We had some cheese starter things, they were disgusting, just cold soggy cheese, and one of them didn't even have any cheese in, just an empty parcel thing. We couldn't eat it, and so tried the mushrooms instead, they were certainly piping hot (bubbling hot), and quite nice, but the toast that came with them was only toasted on one side. When I made my complaint on the lasagne, I was asked if I would like anything else, but there was no other vegetarian option, so I said it's fine I will just eat the chips, the manageress then had the cheek as she walked away to say "enjoy your food" What!! A plate of chips!! I certainly won't be going back.

Lovely food, great servers! We enjoy going here for meals, they are super attentive toward customers that have allergies too, without making a massive deal of it (the two times we have visited, we have been with a friend with a nut allergy). Such great service, great pub meal, would definitely come a 3rd time!!!

Ok firstly party of 6 arriving at separate times in 3s made to sit at a table when our party was already sat somewhere else. Staff have no idea whats going on. We join our party after they come and find us and say what are you doing sat here…. The food omg if your paying this price for this rubbish microwave processed food you need your head testing. Never returning ourselves heard it was a good place to go and they were busy but believe me when you eat out a-lot you quickly realise how poor this place is and the food quality is that of weather-spoons quality . We are so grateful that our company and gathering made the evening and never will we return to be overcharged for frozen food. We worked out the bill as they were unable to split it and found a service charge of £26 which i refused to pay given cutlery was placed on the table in a pile sort yourself out and staff are serving drinks and food over peoples heads rather than walking round. Clearly not trained and not there fault as they haven’t been taught I’ve given one star but really worthy of none. No training, food is appalling people that go here really haven’t experienced the finer side of dinning for the same price and in some cases cheaper. We can eat at 5star for less money and better quality food and service. If you want weatherspoons food at afluente prices then this is the place to get ripped off….

Perfect! Sunday roast was huge and delicious! Lovely and cosy yet spacious inside with happy and relaxed atmosphere. Staff were friendly, professional, and really accommodating. Really pet friendly, even for large dog breeds. We brought our German shepard and they gave her a bowl of water, a big dog biscuit and lots of fuss! Short walk from the quarry bank mill and woods so great location. We will be back!!

This place feels like home! The staff are all so welcoming and very accommodating! We had the pleasure of having Niamh who was amazing and accommodated to my dietary needs. Everyone we spoke to wether it was staff or the locals are amazing to offer help and knowledge for where to find things or just their experiences! The food was to die for! Wish we were staying longer thanks a million everyone! The Bonella’s

The waitresses were brilliant. The food was absolutely mouth watering. The best pub I’ve eaten in for a long time. Slightly on the expensive side but for the quality of the food it was worth every penny. Well done to the Chefs and all the staff. We had a brilliant night!

What a fabulous place to come and eat. We were a group of 14 without a booking and yet we were accommodated without any fuss. Absolutely wonderful service and the best of welcomes from Courteney set the standard for an excellent evening for all of us. The menu was broad enough for all tastes, while allergies were so perfectly catered to. Joe and John who served our tables were enthusiastic and engaging. We see so pleased that we chose to come here and would recommend it to anyone.

Food was really good, dog friendly - even has a dog menu. Was a quiet day so the place was quiet but really enjoyed the atmosphere

Previously, I'd left a good review. The prices have gone ridiculous and don't reflect the service or quality of food. Nearly £17 for Mash and Sausages must be a new one in the North West! The service isn't always great, I feel the staff are definitely underpaid. You can't charge premium money and not give a premium service. The food is hit and miss, some dishes are nice and others aren't great... Its definitely not worth the price. I definitely think you'd improve things by paying a better hourly rate and attracting better staff. Staff aren't knowledgeable about things on the menu and when asking for extras if there's not a manager about and they are unsure they make some excuse up. Its just not a premium brand... Shame really. Prices are creeping to miller and carter prices but by far a much poorer experience in comparison.... Pay peanuts, get monkeys

We had a work do at The Honey Bee. We needed to have a table for 15 people. The only thing I would say that could have been improved would be to have everyone on the same table as it changed the dynamics of the meal. This was never specified in the booking email. Please tell future clients about this. Food was excellent as always. Service could have been a bit more present but i appreciate that it is busy at this time of year.

So happy we found this place!!!! This is one of the loveliest restaurant we have ever been to. We normally come the night before our flight! The honey bee is an absolutely stunning restaurant. Its location is perfect as it is just 5 minutes walk from The Airport Inn Hotel. The restaurant itself is beautiful with amazing furnitures and decorations. Food is AMAZING and all staff is absolutely lovely. We’ll always come back!

Turned up as walk in at The Honey Bee for Sunday lunch .Although fully booked they took the time to check if they could squeeze us in as a couple. Thankfully they could and what a lovely place. The food we both had starters and Sunday roasts were good and tasty . The staff were all attentive and quite obviously well trained in customer service and all requests by customers were addressed if possible. Lovely log fires and ambience was great. Would certainly visit again but do recommend booking as I feel we were lucky to be accepted as Walk ins

Table booked online which was very easy to complete. Had to await several minutes (5?) at the door before any member of staff came to help us - queue forming behind us. Table for two was found, very pleasant atmosphere, staff very helpful in taking our orders. My wife ordered a starter as a main course hoping to enjoy one of the legendary desserts on the menu, but unfortunately the restaurant had to close with very little notice due to lack of water.

Heather was great and very attentive. And the young lady with a slightly different uniform manning the door looked like she was showing a young man the ropes. And the young lady serving at the table was lovely. Very attentive making sure everything was right. Also their was a slightly older male as well helping and very jolly. They were all a credit to you at the Honey Bee. The service was great and the food delicious.

Great country pub vibes the honey bee. Visited today with my mum for Sunday lunch. As it’s valentines weekend we pre booked ahead of our visit, we arrived slightly ahead of time and we were escorted to our table. The pub is very cozy, it has real log burning fires which were lit! Perfect for a rainy cold Day in the uk. I had the serloin of beef Sunday roast and mum had the trio of roasts, with a side of mash. The portion size is very generous and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend especially if you are visiting or living around the area. It is a great location about 10 minutes drive from Manchester airport.

Niamh looked after us and the service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent also. We haven't been to the Honey Bee for quite some time, but we will definitely be back again soon.

Good: Easy to find with good access. Staff were all friendly to us and there is a good choice of food. Garden is nice to sit in and the road noise isn't too bad. Bad: £16 for a burger is steep, I was expecting a lot and honestly was left disappointed. Burger was dry and the bacon rock solid, didn't detect any pulled beef in it either... maybe i was just unlucky. The chips were good although a small portion. My partners lobster fish cakes were OK but also nothing to shout about. The best meal was the kids lasagne which came with veg and mash, in fact her kids meal was as big as our main meals and a third of the price. Ultimately maybe we just got unlucky with the food, or saw the reviews and prices and expected too much.

The pub itself is really nice, but everything else not so much. I booked a table for 3 of us on Sunday. We arrived and we stood there a good while before we were acknowledged by one of the bar staff. Everyone else just walked past, looked at us and carried on walking. The man behind the bar asked us if we had a table booked. I said yes. He then abruptly said " stand back over there " as though I was in the way. We eventually got seated and ordered our food. It was very disappointing. The cut of meat I had was poor and full of Grissel and the roast potatoes weren't even roasted properly. They were quite hard and a bit oily. We didn't even bother with the desert menu. When it came time to pay, I walked up to the bar and I used my card. The lady who took my payment didn't smile, say thank you or see you again or anything. Just took my payment and walked off! First and last time I will be going there.

We booked for our daughters 21st birthday meal for a party of 10. We booked 2 weeks in advance so plenty of notice. On arrival the car park was full with people parking on verges, we had to queue to go in as it was very busy. Some of the starters ordered were not what was listed on the menu so we had to send back. The mains were not good as we had to request vegetables that were hot as the ones we were served were cold. Also my geandsons burger was served with salad on the bun so he refused to eat it. We had requested no salad but this was not adhered to. The manager did apologise but did not offer any incentive for us to carry on our meal and order desserts. We asked for the birthday cake paid the bill and left. We did make several complaints during the meal when we could get someones attention. The restaurant was over subscribed and under staffed. Will not be going back in a hurry.
