Stamford Park

Tourist attraction Park

👍 It's a very nice park with play area for kids, big fields for sports and track paths. My wife is a bit scared of unleashed dogs so that's why we couldn't spend a lot of time in there as there were too many of them. In fairness it's a great place for the pets too but not for people who are a bit scar... People often mention park, play, area, pond, ducks, kids, children, tennis, areas, Nice,

Small park but with many activities and services you want for spend a day outdoor with your children or friends. It includes a bowl pitch, 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball pitch and 2 playgrounds for kids. If you need to eat something or want to enjoy just a warm drink, there is a lovely café inside close to one of the playgrounds where you can sit in or take your food and drink to the benches just outside. There is also a small but interesting pond with ducks and fishes even if the latest are hard to see. Overall, a cozy park ideal for picnics, physical activities, activities with children or for having a relaxing time.

A gorgeous little park forgot how peaceful it was and enjoyed feeding the ducks with my daughter never too old to have a go on the swings 🤣🤣 (the playarea was empty apart from my daughter and me else I wouldn't of gone on them).

Small but very beautiful. Nice seating areas but a bit too exposed for when it gets a bit rainy. Not many places to shelter from the rain when it gets started. A good ten minute walk to get all around the park. Looks excellent for a lunchtime break.

Nice clean park. Has a duck pond picnic area, bowling green and a generous recreation area. A great place to walk and run around. Great place to see a bit of the wild life.

Stamford Park getting ready for Spring time. Lovely walk in the park today, great to see the children enjoying the sunshine. The children’s play area is always very popular. Great tennis courts and plenty of room for adults and children to run wild and enjoy the fresh air.

A wonderful little park. Tennis courts, bowls green, football pitch, duck pond and children's playground. Nice little cafe serving tea, coffee and cake near the kids playground. A lovely place to spend a chilled out Saturday or Sunday.

I've only managed to see a quarter of thepark as my boys were playing a match. I Was watching them. There is a lovely pond with ducks and lots of friendly pigeons. My toddler boy loved feeding them.

Point number 1. The water for the ducks is dirty. point number 2, it is very small, it only has a mini park and a court to play tennis and basketball which is full of garbage. and then they tell us that if we want to clean, that seems fine to me, but please tell them to clean the track

I recently had the opportunity to visit Stamford Park and while I found the location to be stunning and picturesque, I was deeply disappointed with the management and upkeep of the park. The location of the park is truly beautiful, with its lush greenery and scenic walking paths. I was able to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park and take in the stunning natural surroundings. However, my enjoyment of the park was marred by the poor condition of the walking paths. The pathways were broken, with many potholes that made walking difficult and even dangerous in some areas. Furthermore, the children's play area was dirty and unkempt, with litter strewn about and a general feeling of neglect. As a parent, I would be hesitant to let my children play in such an environment, as it did not feel safe or sanitary. The pond with ducks in it was another disappointment, as it looked and smelled like sewage water. The presence of ducks added a certain charm to the park, but the state of the pond detracted from the overall experience. Overall, while the location of Stamford Park is undeniably beautiful, the poor management and upkeep of the park detracted significantly from the experience. The broken pathways, dirty children's play area, and unpleasant pond all contributed to a feeling of neglect and disappointment. I would recommend that the management of the park take steps to address these issues and restore the park to the beautiful and enjoyable location that it has the potential to be. Regenerate response

Nice park, benches, kids play area and duck pond. Would be a five but they removed the pink elephant slide years ago.

This park is a gem! Impeccably maintained green spaces, a variety of play equipment, and scenic walking paths make it a perfect escape. The peaceful ambiance and friendly atmosphere make it a top choice for a relaxing day outdoors with family and friends. The park is thoughtfully designed, offering a wide range of engaging activities for kids of all ages. The playground equipment is safe, well-maintained, and designed to encourage physical activity and imaginative play. The park features a variety of swings, slides, climbing structures, and interactive play areas that kept the children entertained and excited. The lush greenery and well-kept landscaping provide a pleasant and relaxing environment for families to enjoy. Additionally, the park offers ample seating, picnic areas, and clean facilities, enhancing the overall comfort and convenience for visitors. Highly recommended!

Great park, lots of different areas from duck ponds, to tennis and basketball courts. A mini ramped spot for scooters and skateboards as-well as an enclosed play area and big open field. The footpath is pretty well maintained and is hard tarmac so good in all weathers.

Great park for the children to play. Nice cafe too which sells freshly prepared food and cakes. Coffee very pleasant. Better than the branded coffee shops. Nice to feed the ducks and plenty of space to walk and run.

Love the park! Such a big space. I would recommend comming here for the tennis court but the play area is in disrepair an is usually replaced by smaller climbing frames that (somehow) bore the kids. The shop is nice and - again - so is the park. So if you are coming dont come for the playarea if you have little ones, come for a walk. And that's it!

A lovely little park close to the centre of Altrincham and near the football ground. There's a large pond with ducks, geese and moorhens. There are swings etc for children and pleasant walks. Pathways are suitable for wheelchairs.

Great big park in the middle of Hale with plenty of space for running around or having a picnic, with football pitches and bowling greens and hard surface tennis courts and plenty of play equipment for kids... plus duck ponds where you can feed the birds. A great place to take kids for the day

We take our grand daughter here twice a week very good park for swings and slides etc. Nice cafe in the park. Handy for tescos which has a nice cafe and a Greg's. Only bad thing was two dead ducks in the duck pond. I will check later this week to see if it has been cleared.

Well used and maintained park with the support from local community. Nice children's play area and good quality free tennis / basket courts are often used. There is a bowling green and duck pond (pick up healthy food to feed the ducks from The Deli) as well as nice, friendly cafe in the park. Just watch out for the potholes on the path at the lower part of the park...

Pleasant park. Children's play area not as good as it used to be as some equipment has been removed. Quite muddy underfoot in the play area too. Paths very bumpy so scooting or using Heelys tricky!

A well maintained park in a nice area. Includes pond, basketball course, climbing frames and 2 playing fields. Can grab coffee and snacks too. I would only say that there is wasted space there. Let's be honest no-one plays bowls anymore!

Large grass areas. Normally quite clean, lots of bins. Good play areas. There is often an ice cream van in the summer. Plenty of benches, some of which are more private than others.

Great park, but a lot of holes in the field. Just mind where you step!

I love this park. It's a great place to go and walk your dog's and get puppies socialising with others. There are paths all around if you don't want to get your feet wet and a couple of turns round is more than enough for my dogs in a morning. There are play parks, tennis courts for either playing tennis, skateboarding or bootcamp style workouts, large open areas / football pitches, duck ponds and there are also picnic areas. There is pretty much something for everyone.
