I can recall exploring this place as a youngster when it was more of a jungle than a garden. Now it is more easily accessed and open. The volunteer gardeners have to be praised for all the hard work done to make it more of a mini floral nature trail. Should be a riot of colour in the summer. I'd love to see the pond opened up a little with less plant life. Midge hell in summer! Fish used to be present. Worth spending an hour or so exploring as it's not too large a place. My only concern is the presence of dog poo!! Show some respect!!

Beautiful building with lovely gardens, but I guess it used to look much better. Maintaintanance of building and surrounding area is bit poor for Altrincham.

A beautiful park and gardens that although small, offers quaint charm and a fantastic panoramic field for dog walkers, frisbee throwers and ball kickers!

Lovely mature gardens in Bowden/ Altrincham. Really is a gem. Small & compact with the house & sunken garden & its many different plant species providing historical & botanical interest. Large lawn surrounded by pines & rhododendrons. Beautifully maintained by volunteers with the house now Council offices. Parking is on the entry road, limited spaces. Nice way to while away half an hour or so for some peace & quiet 🌳😊

Several interesting gardens with seasonal interest to explore, particularly the sunken garden, all surrounding an historical house now used as offices. Information re history on notice boards. Opportunities for volunteering Monday mornings.

Never been here before although passed it for years! A small park with well kept grounds, but a pleasure to stroll round and it was peaceful too without a load of yobs. Would definitely go back. I also need to do a bit of reading up on its history and the building that is there.

Denzell Gardens are not large but there are some lovely areas that are a credit to the volunteers who look after the gardens. Near the main road into Altrincham it has a pond area with a lawned area with benches. Nearer to the. House it has a small sunken garden full of flowers and a couple of benches to relax and sit on. To leave via Green Walk there is a lovely black and white covered gate. It's a lovely garden to visit and walk round.

Lovely little park, full of flowers and trees that are all labelled. Great visit if your planning a new garden! Open field for dog walking too.

In many respects i like this place, and it’s good if you need wheelchair access; there are parts of the ground that are starting to look tired hence the 3 stars, that said, the all year round colours from the planting are worth seeing. Denzell Gardens is one of those stopping off places that you can include in a longer walk ( it’s ideal as a place to sit and have a picnic )

So I thoroughly enjoyed wandering both the gardens and the park area! They are well looked after and tranquil with beautiful flowers. Well done to the team that maintain the gardens and park area. The wild park area for dog friendly people is great and like a giant dog park, it would be nice if the council provided more dog waste bins for the area as people would gladly use them. Otherwise a fab place to visit defo recommended

Never new this place existed! Lovely little secret public garden to have a nice walk in! The flowers and scenery are beautiful and the actual house itself is quite lovely to see. Nice and peaceful when I went as I don’t think that many people in the area are aware of it compared to more busier places like sale water park.

Beautiful gardens, trees are stunning. Part of it was closed off but still a lovely walk round for half an hour or so.

Prairie Winds is a lovely spot for a picnic surrounded by wide-open spaces. The prairie views and wildflowers create a picturesque setting. It's a great place for families and nature lovers to enjoy a meal in the great outdoors.
