Me and my husband love visiting...we visit each time we have our dogs groomed, so twice every 7 weeks...this is a lovely eatery with lovely people running it.

Lovely local coffee shop with excellent and friendly service. Under new management that will continue the good reputation. Highly recommended

Sorry but underwhelmed buy Poppies. Flat white was small,overly strong and costly compared to other cafés in the local area. Also the Ham and cheese toasties should of been served with salad and coleslaw so had to ask for this, they apparently forgot.

Over priced. BLT £5.50 !! A premium price for sub standard fair. Pre cooked 2 rashers of cold streaky bacon and a couple of slices of tomato with a few bits of shredded lettuce. Won’t be returning 🙁

At first I was a bit wary when it was suggested to go there but I was pleasantly surprised really nice place obviously they are catering to families nice indoor play area for the kids I had a bagel that was absolutely fantastic my mum had a cream tea and because they're baker and let them down on their normal scones they gave her to because they were smaller than the normal sizeI think it's really good value for money not a kind of place you go if you're just an adult on your own and you want some quiet time but for families absolutely perfect great time

Had a great but all too swift visit today. I was advised that there'd be a bit of a wait for food, but it arrived quickly. The play room kept both my 3.5 year old and my 11 month old happy while we were waiting. The food is simple and no frills, which suits me perfectly. The only problem I had was that we had to leave so soon.

Low quality food for a high price, very disappointed with the lukewarm peri chicken which is clearly bought from aldi. Eggs were nice, not worth the price though!

Truly fabulous service from Joseph in putting together an afternoon tea of sandwiches and cakes at very short notice - a great selection of goodies! A true professional, he made a special service seem like it was no effort and wouldn't even take a tip. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The Afternoon Tea Takeaway Box is a perfect treat. The box consisted of finger sandwiches, scones, jam cream, strawberries, and cakes. All were generous size and delicious, the scones were so fresh it was as though they had just been baked. The cakes were delicious, and the sandwiches lovely and fresh. An ideal birthday treat. Excellent. Love this cafe. Chicken salad was lovely, and having easy options for baby weaning on the menu is genius. I went completely unprepared assuming my boy would sleep but instead he had hummus and cucumber sticks.

Great cafe to go to with little ones, play area and menu for them. Not loads of choice on the menu but enjoyed my tuna melt!

Been to Poppies this afternoon for a breakfast barm. Bacon was cooked to perfection (been to other places and streaky bacon can be undercooked and stringy) the farmhouse sausage were really tasty and fresh. Arguably the best coffee around too. Service was brilliant, very attentive staff. Cafe was very clean. It was great to see kids in the play area and people sat outside enjoying the sunshine. Lovely place and will definitely visit again very soon.

Had a full English breakfast this morning and definitely requires more work. Cremated beyond crispy black bacon, hard yoked eggs, soggy toast. Average sausages and standard beans and plum tomatoes. Although Urmston is not the best for local eateries, Poppies' does not compare to other local cafes in the area for breakfasts. Better to go to Bus Stop Cafe or Cafe Bistro in the are if you fancy a full English Breakfast.

I've ordered from Deliveroo several times now, never had any issues. The vegan breakfast is delicious and a nice thing to see as there aren't many others doing this. The price can be a little higher than other places but as the saying goes you get what you pay for and for me its always been a 10/10.

Absolute beautiful little gem, amazing service, and a cute little room for babies/ toddlers to play in whilst you dig into some yummy dishes, and their luxury milkshakes are just amazing 👏 great place for a meet up, had a smashed avocado with poached eggs and bacon very good portions and very filling.. I will definitely be returning

Nice food premises spotless

What a find! A brilliant family friendly cafe at last! They have a dedicated room for children of all ages within sight and earshot of the adults who are all in a similar disposition so the anxiety of going to any other coffee shop with toddlers (and disrupting the non child bearing adults) are diminished. I travel from Cheadle Hulme in the car with the sole purpose of visit this gem of a cafe. Coffee and food is good as well!
