Our first visit here today. Wow, just wow. I had the mushrooms on sourdough and my husband had the Turkish eggs. Both were unreal. It was one of the nicest breakfasts I've ever had. We also took a cake home. The cake selection was also one of the best I've seen. We will be back as there is still many menu items and cakes I want to try. A credit to Urmston. Well done!

Best place in Urmston. Only way it could possibly get better would be to get bigger premises on a better location ( nothing wrong with were it is now but a bit hidden away). I have never had anything bad there. Everything is always delicious every time. My favorite is the mushroom toast. And my favorite dessert up to date was a pecan pie .

Lovely little place in Urmston, slightly out of the way. Went here with my daughter for lunch. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, and at a reasonable price also. Staff were very nice and friendly. I would describe this place as quirky and inviting. Will definitely be returning, would certainly recommend a visit.

It's a great little cafe, it does really good cakes (brownies, blondies, banana loaf, espresso cake etc) also surprisingly I once had an amazing sausage roll from there- genuinely still my No1 sausage roll which shouldn't be something taken lightly as I've eaten a dangerous volume of these in my lifetime. Its popular so be prepared to wait or have a backup in mind (there's a few nice places nearby bevano, jacora etc), they do cake orders in advance so you can get a few at once and pick them up. Coffee is decent fare, from a specific roaster. Staff are really friendly and it's a nice calm spot. Cakes go fast so if you see the one you want on their website don't dilly dally as once they're gone they're gone.

I visited Kin to grab a quick breakfast and ordered poached eggs and avo on toast. When the order arrived it was covered in pistachios. I didn’t notice this on the menu are they don’t have an allergens chart on their menu (which is a legal requirement) I asked if they could make a new dish with out all the toppings and was told I’d have to pay for the privilege. The owners have no clue about customer service clearly. Give this place a wide birth if you have any sort of allergies.

1.5 star really.. Despite the food & cakes being incredible the customer service leaves A LOT to be desired. After eating nowhere else, the evening following our visit 12 hours of salmonella ensued and Jen was less than sympathetic in her email response. The email wasn't even a complaint, just to to request to let the kitchen know someone had got sick after eating there. The response from Kin was a display on how not to handle customer situations like this. I'm sure this is a very rare occurrence (in their email back they said no-one else had reported it which is reassuring) however the email was a list of loads of food safety certificates and the lack of care was shadowed by the denial of any incident to do with them. While we were there the staff seemed pretty distant though one or two were occasionally friendly and chatty. Overall impression and seeing a few others reviews doesn't make this a place I will be recommending and though it's not possible to say for sure the food poisoning came from there, the poor customer service sure did... .....the washing of the hands seemed to arise most Kinly from their denying culpability.

Kin Bakehouse & Kitchen made the perfect first birthday cake for our baby girl. It was delicious and received lots of compliments from my family. Ordering the cake was really easy through the excellent email correspondence with Kerry. Highly recommend and I will definitely order more of their celebration cakes in the future! Many thanks Kin Bakehouse & Kitchen ☺️

Kin baked up a masterpiece of a dessert table for our wedding and everything was absolutely delicious. I had been popping in to sample cakes for weeks in the run up (such a hardship!!) and we’ve also been back after for yet more yumminess. There’s not a single cake that I’ve eaten from Kin that wasn’t amazing, and all our guests . Plus the savouries, breakfast and coffee are all fab too!

Best brunch I’ve had in a long time. A real find and an asset the Urmston food scene. I had the Mexican eggs and they were divine! Great cafe and lovely people.

Allergens not properly listed on their menu, so I ended up with butter on the bread of my sandwich which makes me very ill. When i mentioned it and asked for new bread, they told me i would have to pay extra for new food even though it was their error. Staff didn't apologise and did seem to care.

Wow!! Been meaning to visit this place since I moved to Flixton. Arranged to meet my mate today for a catch up and found the place not overly busy with a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered Chai latte for my self and a raspberry tea for my mate and also three different types of vegan cake which we equally split between us. The drinks were much needed on a cold day like today and the cakes definitely live up to all the hype. The chocolate cake was so melt in the mouth, next came the raspberry cupcake which tasted so fresh and lastly the pineapple loaf cake which I could have eaten the whole loaf given the chance! Sorry no pics because I completely forgot in all the excitement of catching up with my mate and enjoying all the yummy cake. Thank you to all the lovely staff at Kin Bakehouse.

They use Littlewood's meat, so whats not to like. My partner is gluten free, and she said it was the best breakfast she has had in Manchester.

Visited for a late lunch, had a sandwich, which was lovely until i found a big grey hair in it! As I have 2 kids, I'm used to worse and was hungry so ploughed on 🤣 However for the price, and the subsequent hair found in the mayo, I can't really say I'd be in a hurry to return. Good amount of tea in the pot and the non hair content of thr food was nice but just put off with that experience.

My husband and I had brunch at Kin Bakehouse last weekend, and it was top notch! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I am gluten free, and the staff were careful to check if I needed my toast done separately. My husband has a nut allergy and was able to order a suitable dish easily from the menu. Staff were friendly and happy to accommodate our requirements, with lots of GF cake options too. Our fave place for brunch, we’ll be back again soon! :)

Great cafe, really lovely atmosphere and gorgeous decor. We had brunch there which was fantastic, the avocado on toast was one of the best I've had, and lovely coffee too. It's clearly very popular and deserves to be!

We've wanted to go here for a long time and finally called in today. Its a busy little place and the food looks amazing - gorgeous cakes, mouthwatering sandwiches - but we just called in for a coffee. Service is a little slow but we weren't in a hurry. The coffee was lovely, and we'll definitely call back in, next time to eat as well.

The tastiest and prettiest avocado on toast we ever had! Beautiful coffe, everything just 10/10.

Had the Kins beans with an added poached egg. Excellent combination of flavours from the sourdough to the beans to the onions. Poached egg did not have a runny yolk which was perfect for me (unpopular opinion), but not what I was expecting. I was not served my drink after going up to remind the staff. However, I would definitely go back and recommend to others!

We picked Kin to make our wedding cake. We needed a dairy free one and they were absolutely amazing with accommodating for an allergy. We had a wedding cake and a dessert table for our day and every single item was absolutely amazing! I cannot thank them enough!! Our guests had only good things to say and they were so impressed that they ‘couldn’t tell’ it was dairy free!

Busy had to sit outside on a cold day and had 20 minute wait for food (Saturday morning) .Staff are consistently miserable and will ignore paying customers stood at the counter. Coffee was nice and a beautiful selection of cakes. Didn't have savoury food but it looked like a nice venue for hangover breakfast.

9 times out of 10 the tables are all reserved within the next half hour, which means you will be rushed or you just have to leave.

This is probably some of the best cake and coffee (and chicken sandwich) this side of the M60. Everything is made in the kitchen around the back- fresh, on the day from high quality ingredients. There are no artificial sweeteners, spreads and flavourings in sight (or Costco cakes for that matter). Some people comment on it being pricey (compared to perhaps a corner cafe) but what you get for your money is not just something to fill you up but real joy of having a high quality product. The owners (who are there every day) have put their heart and soul in this wonderful place and it shows through everything they do.

Bought 4 cakes the others day, 2 chocolate brownies, bakewell tart slice and raspberry and pistachio slice. All were sumptuous and served with a friendly smile. Will be visiting again to try the menu as sounds fab! Edit: just went again 21/8 to try the menu, had sausage on sourdough. Sausage is too strong a taste for my liking but the bread is good quality. Not worth £4.80 when I get equal quality for £3. Mocha is £3.40 for half a cup but does taste nice. This place is good quality but thinks we live in London prices. I will be back for cakes only.

Top notch. Lovely, light, coffee and bakehouse. I had a decaff flat white, which was excellent, and the Turkish eggs for brunch; I've found my new weekend food treat, it's delicious and not too heavy. It's gets busy here and it's only a small place so get here early at weekends, or book. This will definitely become a regular stop off for us.
