Good coffee. Good cakes. Really comfy seat by the window. Had to clear my own table though. Seems to happen often to me in the UK 🤷🏼‍♂️. Absolutely love the light fittings.

lovely staff and super speedy service!

On a hot day in August we popped in for an afternoon drink. This is a large open plan coffee house serving a range of artisan coffee soft drinks and warm toasted snacks. Much like many of the other chains out there but less well know. It was very quiet and had a nice calm feel and, delight of delights, working aircon. This venue is in the main shopping precinct so walking access is good but no parking. We had cold drinks on ice so all was as expected. Wide spaces so wheelchair friendly. Reasonable prices compared to other similar premises. Nothing remarkable but nothing terrible either. If you found my review helpful I would be grateful for a 👍

Friendly service, excellent flat white - nice and hot which is just what I wanted; always a disappointment if your coffee is served lukewarm. Was nice and quiet, pleasant surroundings and a good selection of food and snacks. All round a good coffee shop.

Have been in the cafe lot,s of times 3times a week staff were fabulous lovely and clean but I have been in a couple of times very disappointing watched the staff move the trays of the tables and not wiping the tables down one of the staff behind the counter near the till wipe the counter down with her hand which is not excetibable they are just serving at one time they were serving wiping down tables and sweeping the floor the chairs need a good cleaning it is such a shame as I loved it in there when it altors I will be back please do something I would love to return.with my friends they won't go in till it is up to standards.

Called in for coffee & veggie sandwich. The 2 guys, Alexander & Patrick (I asked their names) were brilliant. It was steadily busy and they were making drinks, food & cleaning tables all with a friendly smile and chat. I watched them interact politely with everyone and in particular Mums & children. I was very impressed and will go back again for that all important good service.

A nice warm and friendly service from the staff member, who was telling me she came over from Poland to work and loves it over here. Myself and my wife both enjoyed the drink, would highly recommend.

Killer hot chocolate! Real treat! This friendly cafe offers light bites, such as toasties, tea cakes, and other cakes. Relaxed atmosphere and happy staff. Coffee looks great, although - ultra picky alert - tea drinkers note their bag comes in the cup. Plenty of space in what looks like an independent - a lovely antidote to the usual chains. Ideal place to sit on a Sunday - it opens from 9am when others open much later.

I have been to Rhode Island coffee house without any issues on many occasions, and so as my son was back from Uni we decided to call in for a bit if a treat. I am aware that there seems to have been a staffing issue and 3 of the staff appeared to be new. My son choose a toastie and a piece of Vegan banana loaf after it we got back to the table we joined that as it was the end piece it was dry and stale and therefore wanted it to be exchanged. However we were informed that they couldn't take it back because of hygiene requirements. I wasn't of course suggesting that they put it back out, as I don't believe it was fit for anyone to eat.( just wanted a piece that wasn't stale at over £3 for a small slice.) Really disappointed in the customer service which has never been an issue prior to this and spoilt a lovely afternoon out.

I really like this place but my complaint is how weak their coffee can be. I prefer to get the large size, but they don't put enough coffee in. It's like paying for extra water. So when I go, I only order a regular black Americano. Again it was on the weak side for me as i asked for a take out cup and it was overfilled with hit water. Poor for a cafe, but its been this way for years. Have to say the toilet was not clean or pleasant to use. Some of the furniture is a bit grubby and tatty. However, it's got a nice atmosphere.

Location is convenient in which is right in the Stamford Quarter Friendly and helpful staff Expresso and food were good and tasty

Just been served by a lovely man from Oldham who is working in the Altrincham Branch for a couple of days. Rhodes Island offee should hang on to him, he's a real asset.

Nice atmosphere and great coffee. A good selection of sandwiches and desserts. I tried soup of the day (Thai chicken and noodles) and it tasted great!

A few things about rhode island. 1. Very nice homie and cozy atmosphere and decoration 2. All times i have been the quality is just top class. 3. The staff extremely friendly and Agata an absolute star on producing quality coffee and also having a laugh and make you feel relaxed. 4. Despote been busy the quality and service are top! Cant praise enough and from my observation, Their passion on the service they offer really pays off and reflects

Lots of good reviews but wasn't impressed. Not veggie sandwich option except cheese & onion & child sandwich was basic & unimpressive. Service appeared a bit chaotic.

I am so pleased to find this gem in Altrincham recently. As a coffee lover, took me a while to find perfect espresso in the area. I was lucky to meet Agatha and to know her passion for coffee. Top service and great place to be. Will recommend to my friends and family!

What a lovely place to sit and have a coffee and cake. The Barrista is the friendliest guy I have ever met and runs the place with absolute efficiency. 10 out of 10
