Really disappointed with the seating. We booked premier seats hoping to get best view and extra space, however the rows in front of us obstructed the screen. I am pretty short so I can see some bulges from the front seats obstructing my view, but I'm better compared to my toddlers who end up sitting on my lap the entire movie because they could not see the screen at all. Very disappointing experience

Terrible experience. Feel like I’ve just been robbed. Super expensive.!The place looks like something out the walking dead. Its lifeless up the escalator, no atmosphere at all, just lots of blank space. It’s a shame as downstairs in the centre it’s buzzing. The team growl at you to scan tickets, there is no clear and obvious route. The tills are broke, the card machine is broke, so if your paying by card, go back to where you started do not pass go, definitely don’t collect £200 and place your order on the computer at the bottom of the escalator…(So you can’t talk to the team) Sad as people make the experience. Didn’t get to actually speak to another human on the whole experience. I counted around 15/20 team members in total. Oh and forgot to mention the body odour/stinky feet smell from someone with poor personal hygiene was horrific for the entire film. The Premium seats are the same as standard, rock hard and really uncomfortable… I’ll be heading to Cineworld/Vue in future..

First and last time visiting this cinema. Very unorganized from the start, gentleman that checked tickets was not very helpful when asked what the best way to buy a ticket with NHS discount is. Sorted the tickets online ourselves, arrived 20 minutes before the movie was about to start to queue for some drinks and food, long queue. The lady at the counter was super friendly!

Great picture, great seats, great sound. Went to watch the new DR Strange movie in the dolby screen. Having the reclining chairs was a wonderful bit of luxury. The sound quality was excellent and the chairs have a little swivel table attached to them which means no more putting your drinks on the floor. All in all a good experience

Recently went to see a film here and had a great time. Staff were really lovely and the screens were clean and comfortable. Only thing I would say is that some areas are in need of a refresh such as the toilets which are dated and in quite poor order now

my only real complaint is the price of everything. The brilliant service, comfy seats and delicious popcorn and soft drinks *almost* make up for the price. I just hope Odeon can find some way to make the experience more affordable.

The screens are of good size. Compared to Cineworld Parks wood, their seats are not recliners, or at least the screen I went to didn't have them. Popcorn and drinks are a bit pricey. For me it's 3.5 Stars

The Trafford Centre during Christmas is a spectacle of dazzling lights and festive decorations. The entire shopping center is adorned with colorful lights, sparkling ornaments, and seasonal displays, creating a joyful and magical atmosphere. Visitors can expect a festive ambiance that enhances the holiday shopping experience.

I thought I can address some issues mention in comments as I do have some insider first hand knowledge. The photos show Imax screen before and after the movie. Ordering trough your phone and kiosk is much much quicker. If you order on your phone click on collection/start prep as you were in let's say McDonald's. If you order it with your food via kiosk you need to get your ticket scan and then they click on to start your order. There is more employees on order and collection so that will always make it quicker. If you chat with Odeon employees they tell you use the machines or your phone. Unfortunately cinema's since I can remember hires mostly young people, from my personal work experience there is only few reliable young people today. Imax and dolby are the only recliners seats. Not all screens have proper premier seats but normally they are more comfy and have more leg room. I remember that was 1 studio where that wasn't accurate. Heating. Most people complains constantly on being cold, then next person complains on being to hot. If you have 20 cold people and 1 cols you will go with putting the temperature up. Although I do find it annoying I understand it. Few times I have people with nothing on them seating next to me, half of the movie they just kept saying how cold they were. My parents always thought me to bring a long sleeve to cinema. It's hard to make everyone happy. No lights after movie finish. I always open the torch on my phone. There are people who actually stay till last credits finish, it's not fair on them to swith on lights. Credits still count towards the movie. Yes, the movies are rather loud. I found other cinemas similar to this on. A while back I was explain by what I think was managers that they can't change that unless it's a mommy's and baby film.

Love the imax seating, Definitely worth the price if you have back or hip issues as the seats are wider, really comfy and even recline with a small table. Cinema is always clean. Would highly recommend

Expensive! Went to watch Matilda the Musical - came out £82 short - for the movies? I can’t comprehend how a child ticket is only £4 cheaper than an adult ticket. I enjoyed the movie but there was nothing special about Odeon to be charged such prices.

Watched the new Jurassic Park here with the family. It was a typical Odeon cinema, pretty clean and spacious. The only issue we had were toddlers and children running around the cinema throughout the film and there was no staff in sight.

They have good projectors here so it's a good choice for films that are heavy on visuals. The seats let it down so much though, they've not been updated in 20 or so years and they are literally the worst cinema seats I've ever sat in. Odeon Great Northern has older seats and they are more comfortable. Even the leather ones in screens 1-6 still have you sat bolt upright and end up hurting your back.

Went to a Dolby Cinema Showing with Reclining Seats. It was really good, seats were plush, clean cinema and very load and immersive sound. There were only 2 points of criticism: 1. At the beginning there was no sound. This lasted for 20 seconds, before it came back. 2. The Screen 13 (the Dolby Cinema) doesn't have a screen number, and just says Dolby Cinema, with a plain door. If you are going to watch something on screen 13, it is the very first door on the right.

State of the art IMAX Laser screen, wall to wall fits the 1.90:1 aspect ratio.

Arrived at the cinema and headed straight to the Ben & Jerry’s counter, I was stood at the side just looking in the fridge whilst the guy working was making somebody’s order. He then barked at me to go and order on the screen or at the main counter without asking me if I had already ordered or if I even wanted to order. We went to the screens to order which was actually pretty straight forward. When we went back to the B&J’s counter to collect our ice cream, no body was there for 5 minutes so I went to ask for somebody to come over. We were then sent over to wait by the main counter for our order (including nachos, so i suppose this did make sense) I waited, for order 363, upon hearing order 369 being called out I went to ask where my order was to which the same guy who magically appeared from the B&J’s counter told me it was the ones that had been left there in front of me the whole time (which had extra cheese). I told him they weren’t what I’d ordered and after 15 minutes now I was starting to get impatient. He then decided that they’d ran out of cheese and they’d have to prepare some more (yeah because it was all on that order that was going cold and stale right before my eyes) and asked if I wanted something else instead. I asked when the cheese would be ready and would it be possible to have the order bought in for us when it was ready. The cinema was VERY quiet and this was easily doable. He then told me to choose something else and stared at me blankly. (I’d have offered a refund or would instantly have thought to ask for the screen and seat numbers and offered for the order to be bought in once it was ready, which with the cinema being so quiet would have been an obvious solution) Luckily we made it into the film just as it was starting as it had now been 25 minutes since ordering, with roughly 3 orders before us. I saw 3 men in more official shirts stood by the side, so I went over to speak to them instead and the man I’d dealt with so far came scurrying along behind me for some reason. The manager sorted out for our order to be bought into the screen for us once it was ready and apologised for the issues faced. Maybe some further training to be given when it comes to guest relations.

3 in our party to watch Bullet Train (brilliant). Used the ticket machine £11+ per ticket, queued for longer than expected to buy movie meal deal (chicken strips, mozzarella sticks & large drink £13+) Cinema & screen lovely & cool, not overcrowded & clean. Toilets very clean.

Never felt so unwelcome in a cinema. I simply walked toward the lobby to see what films were on, as I have done in every cinema I can think of, the security guard wouldn’t let me me get near without a ticket from the machines. I told him I just wanted to see what’s on, keeping in mind the lobby is just the chill out area with drinks and popcorn, you’re not actually going into the screening, but we wouldn’t let me look. Just felt like airport security. Just a bit too in shock to react… it’s a cinema… either it’s your staff or your rules Odeon but that was pretty uncool

Seems nice imax screen was quite an experience. If you get to seat in the Reclining chairs, too, it's nicer. Just expect sound vibrations loud enough to change your heart rhythm (joking) from the speakers

The ticket and food ordering system is modern and efficient. The staff are always present and on hand to help scan you in and direct you to your screen, collection point, or ordering point. And while you wait, there is a Costa coffee shop in the corner of the main floor. Usually, in my experience, they have a great choice of movies for a number of weeks before taking a movie off view. Great place to visit. I will be back!

Film was great, cinema was fine. Overpriced but aren't they all these days... Biggest issue was the queue at the confectionary counter... There was 20 people waiting, only 2 people serving.... 6/7 staff stood around wasting time, doing nothing... When we complained, along with a few other people... A senior seeming person told us we should have bought on the machine (which I didn't even notice coming in) and then get from the collection point... How were we to know the service would be so terrible?... 15 minutes later we were already at the front of the queue, when being rudely shouted at by, who I assume was, a manager... Even worse than the terrible customer service of being forced to wait... The shocking behaviour of this member of staff... Absolutely disgraceful I will never go to this cinema again

  • 2/5 Olgun u. 8 months ago on Google
Don’t bother ordering your food & drink from the Self service machines at the same time as your tickets. This is because you have to wait for the staff on the collection desk to receive your order and get someone to make it. I missed OVER 20 mins of Mission Impossible because it took so long to make sweet popcorn and a drink. Management in this cinema need to review the process on this desk and TRAIN the staff in lean management.

Subject : Complaint about Odeon cinema - Unfair Treatment and Failure to Serve Food Despite Prior Booking Dear Odeon Cinema Management, I am writing to express my utmost disappointment and frustration with the appalling service my companions and I experienced at your cinema on 30/07/2023. We had made advance ticket bookings to watch a movie, looking forward to a relaxing time after working a late shift. Unfortunately, our evening turned into a distressing ordeal due to the inconsiderate behavior of your cinema staff. Upon arriving at the cinema, we were eager to purchase some pre-made popcorn, a simple and readily available treat that requires no additional equipment to prepare. However, we were shocked to encounter a lengthy queue at the food counter. We explained to your staff that we had just come from a late shift and couldn't arrive any earlier. Despite this, the staff showed a complete lack of empathy and understanding, leaving us feeling unvalued as customers. To our dismay, just as we were about to reach the front of the line, the cinema staff abruptly closed the food counter right in front of us. This action was not only disheartening but also showed a complete disregard for our needs as customers who had already booked tickets in advance. Denying us the opportunity to buy a simple, pre-made item like popcorn was both baffling and deeply frustrating. As a regular patron of Odeon Cinema, I have always held your establishment in high regard for its cinematic experience. However, this recent incident has significantly tarnished our perception of your customer service standards. We expected a basic level of consideration and respect, especially when we had taken the effort to pre-book tickets for the movie. I sincerely hope that Odeon Cinema will take this complaint seriously and address the inadequacies in your service. It is crucial to prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure that all patrons are treated with fairness and respect, regardless of the circumstances. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate measures to prevent similar instances from occurring in the future. Restoring trust in your cinema's customer service is essential to retain loyal customers and attract new ones. I look forward to receiving a prompt response detailing the actions taken to rectify this situation and improve the overall cinema experience for future patrons. Yours sincerely, Andrew

Why they don’t serve fresh popcorn, I don’t know. Don’t allow people to bring their own snacks and then allow people to get proper quality popcorn and snacks. Sound is not impressive, but got better after the trailers at least. Lights are not on when you walk into the cinema hall. Cleanliness was decent, staff seem nice.

Imax visit for M.I. 7. Fantastic film, great seats, beautiful sound, everyone respectful, no phones on, no talking. There was a delay, so staff skipped ads and trailers, fine by me.

Air con not working in some cinemas. It is very hot and humid and we had to leave as it is very uncomfortable. Spoke to manager and he said that they know it’s not working. I guess they don’t care as if you have already paid for popcorn and a drink…..they have made money out of you for jam. They should be open and honest and let you know before to book a ticket.

  • 1/5 Fabrizio D. 9 months ago on Google
12.50£ for sitting on broken seats and with no air con. We literally melted. We complained to the manager and she said she was going to turn it on but she didn't. We asked for a refund but they only gave us a voucher for another movie that we are not gonna use, as it's very likely that we would just melt again. Go somewhere else, or be prepared to sweat, or ask for refunds or vouchers, maybe they'll learn.

Only 2 of 4 ticket machines were working to get drinks or popcorn so had to wait for over 20 min to be served. Seats were similar to an aeroplane seats and do not recline. All in all I will stick to vue in the future.

Went to watch the movie Flash, Screen 5. The screen was filthy, food everywhere on the seats, drink apilt on my seat. I had to clean my seat to sit on it. I then went to thw toilet which was a much worse experience, food everywhere, no toiler paper. I have an Odeon limitless account which i will definitely be cancelling.

We were visiting the area and after a walk around the Trafford centre we decided to go and see a film while waiting for our check in time. It was a Thursday afternoon so it was very quiet but the staff were friendly and the cinema was very clean.

The exterior of this odeon was the most interesting I’ve ever been to. The inside was as expected but it was clean and the seats were surprisingly comfortable.

Omg what I can say, one of the best cinematic experiences center I ever visited. The best part is , this ODEON is inside one of the great malls in the world "The Trafford Centre". BEST SOUND SYSTEM among ODEON cinemas around Manchester area. As a movie freak, with my limitless card, I enjoyed almost every film. Best experience is in the iMAX screen and don't miss the 3D movies inside this. Food is good and at a decent price. And you can spend your weekend with a couple of clicks in the mall.

  • 3/5 Ellie R. 10 months ago on Google
Nice screen and found the sound to be on the interesting side (in a good way, just slightly bizarre for the film we were watching to throw sound to the back of the room). Clean bathrooms and the general area also. Seating is the biggest issue, paying £25 for two people you would want some nicer seating which isn't going to hurt after 2 hours. Maybe as our local cinema is £5 each for a viewing with comfy seats, this was something which we found very apparent. Food is expensive however very large sizes. Being in the Trafford Centre, it may be beneficial to alter the seating to help appeal for people to return as we would be more than happy to pay the over £45 for two tickets, two large popcorn and drinks, but the seats are an issue

Cinema & toilets were clean. Tickets were reasonably priced and food deals weren't bad. Sadly large groups of kids standing up talking during the film, walking in / out and being quite disruptive spoilt the film - and despite the staff having cctv monitors, nobody came in to address this. I think the evening showings are going to be avoided in future!

  • 3/5 Rezwan H. 1 year ago on Google
Enjoyed our visit. The snacks counter near the screen we were at was closed so I had to walk to the main counter. This wouldn't pose a problem normally but this time I was with my two sons. One is in a wheelchair and just got him sat on the seat in the auditorium and so had to leave him with his 12 year old brother to go get our ordered snacks. Would be great if a service was offered to bring it to you in the auditorium for these situations.
