Nice spot for coffee or food, although the lunch menu didn’t have too much I would imagine enjoying and I don’t typically consider myself picky. Coffee was uniquely served warm instead of hot which I did like. The polar opposite to a greasy spoon cafe. The service was ok and the atmosphere was nice.

We went on Sunday morning and we have booked a table in advance, because we couldn't have found a table, it was very crowded! We waited almost 25 minutes for our order and we were discontent about this. The coffee was good, but I wasn't very impressed. The pastry I had, was amazing tho. I didn't had a proper brunch yet here, but I will visit again this place soon to try it. Also, we were very impressed with the location of the place, it's lovely!

Such a lively place to go for breakfast! Atmosphere was spot on. There was way too much choice for breakfast as everything sounded amazing!!! We had the breakfast bun, eggs royal and French toast. Would definitely recommend.

Felt very disappointed with Pot Kettle Black. Me and my partner came here after the good reviews and we were both underwhelmed with the food. The Turkish eggs were incredibly band (worst I've ever had) and my partner said her big breckie bun was average. The coffee was nice but they got my parters order wrong... The service was slow but one saving grace is they took the eggs off the bill which was really appreciated. That's why we've given it a 3* and not less.

Lovely chatty staff. Enjoyed my meal. Unlimited bread for the Shakshuka and Turkish egg dishes which was a great option! Just be aware that the baked beans are not you’re standard Heinz tasting type. I’d call them ‘posh’ beans. I liked them, my cousin did not. Went on a Monday morning so not many people there. Definitely recommend making a reservation if it’s on the weekend.

Went here for lunch and was so happy with the variety on the menu! I had the pulled beef focaccia which had great flavours and was a generous portion. Staff were friendly and attentive 10/10 customer service. Beautiful place to stop for a hot or cold drink (best smoothies I’ve had in town).

Excellent brunch in a modern cafe style setting. The food was really nice. We did have to wait for a while (over 20 mins) and then re ask for our coffee before getting it but the staff were very apologetic. Service was a little slow but not terrible.

Superb brunch place in the heart of the Barton Arcade! Staff is really attentive and service is fast. The food is served in generous portions and is really tasty (truffle oil scrambled eggs anyone?). We were also really lucky to be seated within 5 minutes on a busy Sunday without reservation. Give it a go! It’s a must try.

Top breakfast, if I could give 6 stars I would. Chilled, lovely inside,.. Fabulous selection of breakfasts, teas, coffees and juices. May have to go back tomorrow to try some other dishes.

Really quick service, clean environment and some good sounds. I had eggs benni - I usually order with smoked salmon but they offer with Bacon which was amazing! Will definitely come back if im in the area (and order the same, I'm so boring...) 😃

Had a lovely brunch here. Staff were so friendly and helpful as I had two young children with me. They even didn't charge me for the beans on toast my 3 year old didn't eat which was very kind of them. Will come back. The coffee was super too.

Wonderful cafe, bakery and bar. Lots of friendly staff, quick efficient service and nice food. Had breakfast here and it was delicious. The coffee was also excellent, made with care by someone who took pride in what they were doing. Not like your usual chain coffee house, I mean Costa and Starbucks!

Really nice brunch. Nice and relaxed with great service. My wife also got a little surprise as it was her birthday. Be warned if you have the Turkish eggs and are on a date.....garlicky but lovely.

Great menu, I like that there’s mixed seating inside & also ‘outside’ within the arcade with heaters. I’m an ovo-vegan and they were happy for me to swap the scrambled tofu in the vegan breakfast for eggs which I really appreciated. My top spot for meeting friends for brunch

Lovely place for breakfast or brunch. They have plenty of vegetarian options. Recommend the spiced beans (forgot what the name was) tasted just like foul which is an arab breakfast dish. We did have someone come in from the street and harass us while we were eating. Thankfully nothing serious happened and the staff at this restaurant quickly came to check on us and make sure everything was okay. We were very appreciative of that.

Perfect fancy breakfast to start a relaxing day off work. Delicious beans!! Amazing bread, great atmosphere, comforting blankets and lamp hearers sitting in the arcade, and attentive service. No complaints at all.

The avocado, feta and poached egg toast was delicious! The eggs were cooked perfectly. 10/10 The shakshuka looked amazing but the taste was a little bland, also the bread finished long before the sauce and so half of the sauce was left behind. You might need to order more bread. 6/10 The coffee is an acquired taste and depends on how you like it- it was quite vinegary. I also got a croissant which was nice enough but it was a little hard and did not taste very fresh, if it was warmed up for a few seconds it may have tasted much better. A painfully average croissant for £3, I may have just been unlucky. The service is good. Food is prompt and the waiter was very nice. Overall, I may return to try other toast options.

Lovely coffee shop with lovely staff members, my favourite in Manchester! The staff are so welcoming and friendly that you instantly get the feeling that they care about their customers. Drinks are amazing too! Extra thanks to Kyle who went above and beyond to serve my fiancee and I.

Such a lovely place for a coffee and brunch. Been here a couple of times now and it never disappoints. The staff are attentive and friendly, the food is delicious, would highly recommend the miso caramel french toast. We decided to buy some coffee beans, which were lovely, definitely worth buying.

Overall I would have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place, what a gem! From start to finish it was an amazing experience. From the hostess, to the waitress and floor staff, one just as nice as the next. The cocktails and food were absolutely delicious. Clean plates and empty glasses all around.. couldn't fault.

Great place for a bite to eat and a coffee. Busy place but attentative staff with ordering and checking up with you. They have electrical outlets available too and since I was travelling it was a welcome phone boost and energy boost for my walk through Manchester!

Solid choice for a brunch foodwise albeit expect a wait for a server. My husband was getting really annoyed at how long he had to wait to even be acknowledged, even for water or coffee. Definitely seem understaffed. I got the vegan breakfast sans beans or hash browns, with a poached egg mistakenly put on top. Honestly I was fine with that as I’m veg not vegan. All tasted delicious including the vegan black pudding. My husband got the miso caramel French toast which tasted somewhat odd to me but he enjoyed it save for the sesame brittle. I got the fruit flavoured herbal tea which came in a lovely big pot. He said the coffee was just ok. Gorgeous surroundings in the arcade.

The food was amazing BUT the service beat it. We were served by a lovely guy (so sorry can't remember his name but I know he only works on a Sunday) He was super friendly, took us on a journey of pastry delights... will be back very soon. 10/10.

Really delicious food and great coffee. I had the poached egg & avocado on sourdough and a flat white. I definitely recommend and would come again. It's a nice atmosphere with friendly service. There is plenty of seating. Wifi and bathroom available.
