Wont be coming back, Food turns up cold, the sunday roast beef twice had plastic in it, cheese pie frozen in the middle. At Christmas a few elderly residents went in for christmas meet up, food under cooked, and a couple of weeks later were slapped a £100 fine for parking in their car park, we saw no parking signs and not made aware when entering the pub, what an upsetting shock it was to them. Its a total disgrace and have lost a good few customers now.

After a few hours spent in The Roebuck, Urmston, with my colleagues after work, my wife kindly came from home in the car to pick me up from their car park outside. For this, she was issued a £60 parking fine. Explaining that my wife was merely picking me up made no difference. Producing bank card statements showing I was a paying customer that day made no difference. During a cost of living crisis, being stung as a paying customer by a large company like this, is utterly shameful and hard to believe. The £60 and more will come from Joseph Holts' profits over time, as I will be taking my hard earned pennies elsewhere in future, and urging my colleagues to do the same. Why not support your local independent pub instead and stay away from here.

Absolutely atrocious service. Not organised at all, never have any food in, or very little. The food and service takes ages to arrive. The manager is not very good or well managing the pub. Things are hectic and unpractical, too expensive for the food and service. Absolutely disgraceful.

Absolutely gorgeous food, the best we've had in a long time. I ordered the beef fillet hanging kebab and exchanged my fries for sweet potato fries. My partner had the lasagne. There was nothing about the meal we could fault. The dessert was equally delicious. And it all cost less than £50.00! We will definitely be back (probably again, and again, and again). 😁

What a lovely experience we had visiting the roebuck for some food and a few drinks. The staff are excellent, so friendly and attentive. We were greeted by Angela who made us feel very welcome and then Jane was so lovely and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was presented to a high standard and arrived hot. I asked about the chef's, to pass on our thanks, Paul and Connor. We will be visiting again!

The food here is absolutely excellent. It is one of the few pubs I can recommend as seeming like they care about the food the kitchen puts out. I can thoroughly recommend the steak, onion and pepper baguette, which was prepared as though the chef really cared about the food he was making. The nachos were something special - I'm unsure if the tortillas were actual cut up tortillas or some kind of pastry, but one thing is certain and that is that they weren't out of a foil bag! They were topped with plenty of relish, cheese and soured cream also, enough that everyone can have a bit of everything right through to the end. One of my favourite local spots.

Lovely service and a nice atmosphere but i paid £3.45 for a tiny portion of chips. I really think for that price they should definitely at least add a few more…

Lovely pub food and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Always enjoy my meal. If driving just make sure you register your car at the bar otherwise you will get a fine! Ps Chris the Manager is always welcoming and accommodating

My family came to the robuck for a family 80th meal. We have never been before and couldn't fault anything reasonably priced drinks and food with deals to make it even better value. The staff were amazing and food was fantastic with a standard waiting time wasn't to quick wasn't too long. Would diffinatly be back and recommending to friends and other family members.

We went to the Roebuck to see and support the bootleg line dancers, doing some line dances for charity, the staff were brilliant, so we decided to have a meal with a couple of friends, the meal was great , the only thing what I could not understand was the bill , when you look at the menu you think that is the price you pay is the price on the menu , but there are little notes saying there is a £3 supplement on steak, so I would advise anyone eating there too read the menu. Stephanie/ Chris ( Manager) and the other staff where great , It's a great pub and great atmosphere, just the billing system needs tobe simplified in my opinion.

The rude barman aside, a nice visit with family to Roebuck, as I hadn't been for a few years. Food was good and prices reasonable.

My first visit here. Dad's 86th Halloween birthday. Service was superb. Not many vegan options. Had a great night! Staff brought our cake out and helped us all night. Thank you, Grace and....Stephanie?

Had a 2 course meal with drinks - great value for gorgeous food and atmosphere. Chris and his staff should be proud of this pub. Great background music and atmosphere - lovely vibe! Would highly recommend!

Six family members met for lunch. We were not disappointed. 3 had the fish and chips, generous in size and comprising of white flaky covered in crisp batter, a real hit. Reliable Holts ale and a bottle of wine hit the spot. Good value for money, great service from a young woman with a Northern Ireland accent. Very happy with the Roebuck.

Great food . Excellent Sunday roast large portions . Waiting staff need to be more attentive. As having to call them to order drinks and food seem to be a bit off-putting.

For the classic 'pub food' it has to be one of the best pubs for food and service from staff. Have been there multiple times, absolutely amazing!

I brought the wife here over the bank holiday, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I parked my car on the pub carpark and made my way into the pub. I was approached by a member of staff who asked me did I arrive in a car, to which I replied yes, she said if you don't mind you had to submit your car registration in order to stay on the pub carpark. Once I punched in my car details I ordered a pint of lager shandy and a bottle of red wine for the wife. We took our drinks and walked through the restaurant, which took you into the beer garden. The sun was shining and we took our seats, right opposite the garden was a bowling green. After two glasses of wine the wife was ready to order, one Sunday roast and a plate of chips for me. Overall a lovely meal and a great day out, will definitely be coming back.

Six of us plus two babies visited The Roebuck today for Sunday lunch. The whole experience was first class from start to finish. On entering we were reminded to register our car on the car park which is for customers only. The staff were very helpful, polite and eager to please. Service was prompt and very efficient, nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good indeed and great value for money. Portions were very generous. We were constantly being asked if everything was ok and the young ladies who served us are a great asset to the company. We will certainly return on a regular basis and encourage others to give this place a try. Many thanks to all the staff.

Lovely place, much improved on the previous set up. I went there yesterday for a wake and the staff were very friendly and helpful and considerate of why we were there. The place seems more like a pub again than the restaurant it became after it burned down, the food we had was very good and buying drinks didn't break the bank either.

Tasty food, couple of items from menu unavailable but still plenty to choose from. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were luckily seated straight away, always a popular venue,so booking for a larger party may need wise. Don’t forget to book your car reg in at the bar to avoid a parking charge ( staff generally inform of this on arrival…careful tho incase it’s busy) 👍🏻

This was a real walk down memory lane for me. As a child I lived about 800 yards away and it was popular with my grandparents as long ago as the late 1940's (long before I was born). Obviously it is now an up to date eatery as well as the "local" but it combines both roles very well. Keep going old friend you're in great nick.

Very very beautiful pub, dog friendly and plenty of parking. Food looked good although we didn't order, will next time. Beer garden backs onto bowling green which is nice.

Lovely surroundings and staff, reasonably priced and great food for most people including Vegetarian and Vegan. Sadly like so many places little effort is made on the menu for coeliacs.and gluten free options are not identified, you have to check each item against an allergen list to discover salad is your main option. I have to say, it was lovely but a hot meal would have been welcome.

Amie, Leah and Ben were exceptional tonight. Absolutely fantastic service from all three (especially Leah & Amie). Would totally recommend. A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Amie went the extra mile to make me and my boyfriend feel comfortable and give us a pleasant experience. Very impressed and would visit again

As pubs go this is excellent. The staff are always polite and ready to help. A good selection of food for everyone. Always hot and tasty. We'll worth a visit. The manager Chris, is a nice friendly guy and runs a brilliant pub. We always enjoy our visit there.

Lovely food, but don't really understand why we had to rat on the Vault with our Dog. Understand we can not go in the restaurant, but do not get why the lounge is off limits.
