I recently visited the Quarry Bank in Timperley, Altrincham, and I must say, the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. The bar staff were not only friendly but also attentive, making the overall experience enjoyable. The lager they serve is of excellent quality, and I found myself looking forward to returning for another visit. A great spot for those seeking a laid-back pub with top-notch service and great beer. However, I have been here 3 times for food, each time The food has been slightly undercooked, hard chips etc..I did the British thing and just ate them and went off to moan on the internet... It's normally a Good pub

Took my daughter and family for the first time as they had just moved nearby. Though some items were off the menu owing to earlier busy period we all were able to find something we liked. The service was great and the food excellent and well presented. Prices were reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed meal in pleasant surroundings and atmosphere. Well recommend a visit.

Been to the Quarry bank for a late lunch today with 10 other friends the food was excellent the staff were very good very nice very friendly one of our friends passed out with the high temperatures very hot day all the staff was very quick to attend can’t thank them enough (he’s ok) will be back thank you.

Excellent, food lovely, staff very friendly and service great. We will definitely return. This was my first visit in 25 years but hopefully not the last.

Last visited about 10 years ago but used to come here back in 1974/75 when I lived locally. Flic on his first visit. Lovely Hydes pub with bowling green to rear and thus lots of outdoor seating. Good pint of Hopster, one of up to five Hydes real ales. Large open pub spread around the central bar. Flic likes this pub.

Not a bad pub. The pub was fairly busy and the choice of drink was very good. There are plenty of seating areas inside and out depending on the weather. The staff are very particular about the Covid regulations and try to be fully compliant. There are various TVs with different sports to view if required and different entertainment on during the week. There is disabled access etc and parking nearby if required. The only downside for me was that few of the customers were wear face coverings. I do appreciate that England do not have mandatory face covering, however, I'd have thought each individual would like to keep the dreaded Covid at bay. Nevertheless it is a decent pub.

This was my first visit to the QB Inn, I went to watch my brother in law in a bowling match (he won!). It's such a lovely pub, great outside area and lovely inside too. I hadn't realised before I bought it, but they had an amazing offer on the wine - what a bonus! Great pub - great service. My sister and I had a wonderful evening.

Lovely first lunch at Quarry Bank. Gorgeous food, would highly recommend Lamb and Mint Burger and EVERYTHING that went with it. So different. Lovely staff and great company . We'll be back xxx

The place was lovely, wish I had visited it in the summer. Staff were very friendly and professional. Food was delicious and it was a great atmosphere to have lunch. Prices very reasonable.

This is a pleasant and comfortable pub/restaurant and deservedly popular. The decor is attractive in an unobtrusive way and the food is good, with enough choice for a variety of palates. The staff are friendly and helpful although on the day we went there did not seem to be that many around. Perhaps because of this service seemed rather slow and it was an hour before our main courses arrived. In fairness however we were a party of 10 and did not have a starter so it wasn't the simplest of orders. The food arrived piping hot and was both tasty and well presented. The bill was pretty reasonable considering the number in the party. I would be very happy to go there again.

It was a nice day, we sat outside on a table furthest away from the others. The food was nice enough and we enjoyed a lovely couple hours with the pleasant bowling green view. What I didn't like was... the table was really mucky,but we just cleaned it ourselves. Moreover, I hate all the smokers with their smoke wafting everywhere. I really wish pubs and eateries would do more to tackle this. Non smokers like the opportunity to sit outside too. I really don't agree with smoking being allowed in ANY eating/drinking areas unless it's clearly segregated with no cross over, to give people the choice. I'd only just come out of hospital too, so the smoke was really irritating me after a general anaesthetic. But my friend wanted to sit outside as she'd been cooped up at work for a long shift, so I went along with it, but I knew smoke would annoy us. So, if you don't mind breathing in others' smoke, are a smoker yourself, or lucky enough to sit outside when nobody is smoking, I'd recommend this pub. I did not go inside other than to use the toilet and even then had to go past a chain smoker who stood not far from the entrance. The sooner smoking is banned on public premises, the better.

Sunday roast dinner with the family. Lovely atmosphere, good choice of food, terrific staff and altogether a nice way to eat Sunday dinner.

This is a delayed review from a visit in December with my wife and her mother who is 98 years old. We came for food and the lady serving I believe she is called Nik (tall lady with tied up black hair) was amazing with my mother in law. My mother in law has become a very fussy eater in her older years and Nik accomodated her and made changes to the menu - nothing was too much to ask. The mother in law also only drinks hot drinks and I know this can be a pain for waiting / bar staff as gthey take a lot longer to make - but Nik didnt mind everything she did was with a smile. My mother in law has started with mild dementia and often repeats herself - Nik was very patient with her throughout the service and made her feel at ease - We will definitely be back. Nik is a credit to your restaurant team.

Great place for food, as you can see the mixed grill was delicious, all the meats cooked spot on. Service was great, Kev was great, and the pub was lovely. A++ 👌🏼

Veggie Xmas meal was very nice. The service was great. There were 14 of us & the food came out for us together & hot. Far better than a few restaurants I have been to. Would highly recommend.

Multiple TV screens showing sport and a great atmosphere The restaurant area, is quieter for dining, with table service and the food is delicious. The beer is Hydes and a great variety too of choice cask ales, which are all kept excellently, along with a good selection of other drinks. Nice comfortable outside drinking area overlooking a well kept bowling green. Staff professional and friendly. Look out for special events and offers on their website. A great pub all round. Well worth a visit. 👍

I was really surprised with the food - for a ‘pub’ the food was actually very good. I would have given this a 5 however, we sat in the bar after our dinner and there was a lot of swearing to my shock when we saw who was swearing it was a member of staff (I wouldn’t have downgraded the pub if it was cliental as they can’t control that much) the lady in question had jet black hair and glasses on her head - most customers don’t want to listen to anybody swearing and being potty mouthed (it’s even worse when it is a staff member). I hope on my next visit I can upgrade my rating to a 5 as the food was actually lovely and great value.

Great pub. The atmosphere is perfect. The food was very good and the staff were really pleasant and efficient. Very comfortable and pleasant dining area too.

I always enjoy a quiet pint in the Quarry I am training for a half marathon so only wanted 0% alcohol, the choice was very limited. Be nice to see a better selection and options of a pint not 330ml bottles apart from that it's a proper decent place.

Visited The Quarry Bank Saturday for a meal with friends the service and meal were first class. From starters to the mains the food was served promptly was well prepared hot and very tasty, we will be visiting again very soon maybe to try their Sunday Lunches.

An absolute gem in the heart of Timperley. Visited at the weekend, had one of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a pub in a long time. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.

Ashamed to say that despite being a local we've never eaten in the Quarry Bank Inn before. Went tonight for meal as our 'go to' Chinese isn't open on Tuesday's and as it's my Birthday that means a defo eat out. Can honestly say I am more than pleasantly surprised. The eating area was light, airy & clean. The service was excellent and the food was definitely way above standard I was expecting. Throw in the ultra reasonable price (although I would have happily have paid more) and you can be sure we will be back. Faultless.

1st time visiting this place since moving bk into the area. The Chops were absolutely divine, large and succulent! I also met two friendly, lovely ladies who are regulars. Will definitely be taking a trip bk between now & Christmas. ⛄ Nice atmosphere & staff too.
