You know when you just want a really good pizza and you have this idea in your head of how this pizza should taste!! Well @double_zero_pizzeria certainly didn't disappoint. Situated in Chorlton, Double 00 is a busy place. We were lucky enough to get a table. The inside and outside were packed with happy customers. Such a good vibe. The menu looked great but all I wanted was pizza and I didn't want to spoil it. We ordered: Margherita Bufala with fresh Rocket & Napoli. We had quick friendly service and the pizzas were huge. Pizzas were nicely and evenly topped and the crust was fluffy. We chose the honey chili dip and the garlic parsley butter dip for our crusts. Can't fault their pizzas and looking forward to going back. Some points to know: Parmesan isn't vegetarian so make sure to mention any dietary requirements. Chicken is halal. They don't serve alcohol but customers can bring their own. I would recommend booking if you're a larger group as these guys are extremely busy from open.

Excellent pizzeria recommended by friends. Very busy - we booked a table for six and they were full on a Thursday evening. The garlic pizza as a starter is delicious - the base is so soft and beautifully cooked (large so recommend to share 1 between 2 or 3 persons). All our pizzas were great, including a gluten free pizza. Bring your own wine (corkage fee).

Fabulous pizza place with very attentive and helpful staff. The tiger striping on the pizza was spot on and the range of interesting and innovative flavour combos you can go for on such a small menu is staggering. Delicious pizza and the Antipasti starter was equally yum. It's BYOB so either soft drinks (whose range could be a bit wider) or pop by one of the local shops to get some wine or beer prior to coming. Will most definitely be returning

I am so impressed by this place. It was my first time visiting, and from the phone call to book all the way till the end I had part of the most warm and welcoming service. The pizza 🍕 was unbelievable, so perfect and tasty 😋. A big size for a pizza 🍕 perfect 🤩. Thank you so much Double Zero X

Amazing pizza, it’s in my top 3 Manchester pizzas for sure! Very authentic and a very varied menu. The fact that it’s BYOB makes it even better so quite a cheap night out in the end! The staff were very welcoming. Only reason I give it 4 stars is that the restaurant itself isn’t very inviting, not the type of place you could sit for a couple of hours, it feels a little more like an in and out restaurant, not very cosy and quite small. Great place for a casual dinner and a great pizza!

Just had been for takeaway and it is by far the best pizza I have had in the UK, you can tell it's using extremely fresh ingredients, super delicious dough and in general you can tell it is made with a level of care that you don't find in many places. I look forward to visiting in person properly one day.

Had an fantastic time trying out some seriously great pizza in Chorlton. Loads of options on the menu, but we went for the meatballs to share, then each of us had the volcano pizza – absolute flavor explosion! The food and service were spot on. Definitely suggest booking ahead due to the popularity of the restaurant

Amazing Italian style pizza and love that it's BYOB. The large vegetarian platter was enough for 4 for a starter. Would recommend the cacciatora pizza!

The pizza is amazing and the price is good, but it is so incredibly noisy here on a Saturday - I think because of the tiled walls and the open kitchen, and the music doesn't help. Not a place to go if you want to talk to your friends. Service was great, staff lovely, but I wouldn't go back at the weekend. Very tightly packed tables, narrow entrance walkways and heavy narrow doors mean this is unlikely to be an easy fit for a wheelchair or anyone with mobility issues.

So I ventured out of town to the famous ‘Double Zero Pizza’ to see what all the fuss was about. On arrival the restaurant is packed and smells amazing. Our table isn’t ready just yet so we hung round outside perusing the menu. This restaurant doesn’t have a bar license so make sure you take a few drinks if you want alcohol. Very friendly staff got us seated asap. We had a cute table on the patio. Atmosphere was bustling, lots of chatter and laughter, great to be in the middle of! We ordered starters, we went for the Beef Ragu arancini and the Fig crostinis. The arancini was amazing. Like AMAZING. Best I think I’ve ever had. Had the perfect flavour balance, not to dry, not too wet, WOW! Crostinis were great as well but came with balsamic, which I’m personally not a huge fan of. Still a fantastic dish and I’d order again. I had the Volcuno pizza which had roasted Jalapeños and hot honey. The pizza was delicious. The dough was very tasty. The only small issue was the very centre of the pizza was still raw. I could see the gluten stretching! Still this didn’t bother me too much, I was enjoying my meal so I just ate around it. Staff were attentive and very friendly throughout, really great service. We decided to go for dessert, we ordered a tiramisu and pistachio gelato. Obviously I got a coffee too. Tiramisu was gorgeous, I’d go back just for that. Had such a fluffy lightness, chefs kiss! Gelato was also delicious and paired delightfully with my expresso. Overall fantastic venue with authentic Italian food and great staff. What’s not too like?!

Simple is good Best italian pizza in UK, and seriously, big brands can learn from Double Zero. Fantastic service! One thing what they should work on, is food decoration, absolute drama...I can recommend Google for some ideas. Smashed buratta covered by glaze balsamic vinegar, served on cold as ice bread it's a criminal offence !!! I will definitely be back for more pizza and will spread the word about great service. Thanks Doube Zero

Big statement incoming....... Best Neapolitan pizza I have ever had! . Starters were amazing. Food was soo fresh. Bring your own beer was a great bonus. Staff were very polite and friendly. Service did get a little slow towards the end and the inside sounds quite loud after a while. Can't fault the food in any way. Will be returning for sure !

The food was incredible, the pizzas are unique and are 10x better then your standard dominos. The atmosphere within the facility was quirky and hip. The staff were extremely nice, friendly and added to the amazing experience me and my partner had. Thank you.

Last minute plan to come here for dinner as recommended by a friend. It was very busy at 7pm on Sunday but luckily there was a table for 6. We ordered arancini con carne, arancini vegetariani, full platter antipasti, miele sizzler pizza and salumi pizza. Food came at reasonable time and in decent portion size. Arancini were ok but couldn't tell which one was which. The full platter antipasti was good. Here, their Neapolitan style pizzas' base are super thin but no soggy bottom from the toppings. The crust had a dense texture though and not many air pockets as it should have. It was very dry to eat the crust by itself and oil wasn't offered (our table was bare - no bottles of oil or shakers). Flavours from the toppings were good but not exceptional. Staff were friendly and attentive to those who needed service (as we were sitting outside covered) but there was one who lacked a bit of common sense.

Love this place amazing pizza and atmosphere every time. Service excellent, staff so friendly and food comes at a good time. Perfect atmosphere for a meal with friends or family or a date. You can get the pizza with a thicker or thinner base which I love because it suits every mood! Photo attached is the thinner base, unfortunately didn't capture the whole pizza as we got too excited and forgot to take a picture before digging in xD

Fantastic pizza. Great cheese (buffalo mozzarella) and sauce. Light thin base. I’ve had a few pizzas from Naples and this definitely is similar in quality! I think it’s the best in Manchester, better than Rudy’s

This is my best pals favourite restaurant in Manchester and since she was relocating to Scotland she booked her leaving meal here. Food was absolutely delicious as always & the staff were just amazing! They made it such a fun night, they were all very attentive, super friendly and patient with us- a big group of rowdy drinkers can be a nightmare!! Can't wait to go back, would highly recommend.

An independent pizza establishment. I visited here while visiting the family who live in Manchester. They love the place and after the visit I can see why. Excellent pizza using quality ingredients and nice friendly staff. They allow you to take you own alcohol for a fee of £1.50 per person. Recommended without hesitation. 👍

The best pizzas in Manchester... Maybe even the world! Special shout out to the lovely chef who noticed my little 7 year old taking an interest in the cooking process... He invited him in to the kitchen and let him have a little try at getting involved. My son spent the journey home back to North Manchester buzzing his little head off that he helped make a pizza. Thank you so much, and for giving us another perfect birthday tea out for my eldest son! X

Pizza heaven can be found in Chorlton! Five of us booked here on my son's recommendation, as we were in Manchester for the day, and boy this place it does not disappoint. The atmosphere was chilled and laid back. Friendly staff and food is stunning. Warning, portions are hearty so come hungry, with the aromas teasing you as you wait for your food, you can't wait to dive in to your meal once it is served. Kitchen and food prep area visible to all, so you can see your meals being prepared (always a bonus). And for the food itself it's certainly the best pizza I've had in the UK by a country mile. No licence, so it's BYOB (bring your own beer), small charge for corkage/glasses which is fair. Prices are reasonable considering the location and quality of the food. Heated outdoor seating area available. Would recommend booking as although it was a Monday night, tables were pretty much full most of the evening. Head along and support a local independent, you won't be sorry you did

Despite having a great love for pizza, I'd never had a Neopolitan before. So when my friend casually suggested we pay a visit to Double Zero, a couple of us went along. I didn't have any expectations, as I was just there to eat pizza, but as soon as I took the first bite...it completely blew me away!!! The flavours and taste were absolutely delicious. The trip triggered a newfound love for Neopolitan pizza for me, and if I'm given the option to pick where to eat, I always pick a Neopolitan pizza place. Despite having tried dozens, Double Zero set the bar high on my debut and I've yet to find a place that can match it. It's a lovely place with a relaxed environment. The staff, led by Ben are really friendly. I look forward to going many more times and am excited to visit their new branch once it opens! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

We sat outside, which has heaters, although it was a warm evening so they weren't needed. The service was really friendly & quick. We had a pizza each, both were amazing. The base is extra thin, so you get the full taste of the toppings. The cheese one was just lovely. Tiramisu for dessert was light & refreshing. It's byo & the service charge for that is really low at £1.50 pp, so it's a great value place to go. Highly recommended.

Ate there last night and we absolutely loved it. The pizzas were insanely delicious, and portion size was generous. A lot of pizza places skimp on toppings, but definitely not the case here. The bring your own booze policy also makes it more affordable.

Fantastic pizza place! It had quality ingredients with a big focus on an authentic dough base. I will definitely be going back for more! It doesn't serve alcohol which is definitely different from other venues however it's definitely not a point against the place but note worthy for anyone interested!

Excellent pizza. I tried the Vulcano - splendid. The size of the pizza is massive and you'd easily feel full with it. Very quick service and cheerful staff. Phones half hour before going and was able to get a table. Was very busy for a Tuesday night. Recommend booking in advance. Overall highly recommended - one of the best pizza's.

The best gluten free pizza in Manchester ☺️ the staff are super friendly even when it’s packed, service quick and toppings fresh + tasty. Loved the hot honey dip too! Book ahead because it’s a tiny little restaurant but definitely worth it

A really enjoyable dinner, the mains were great and the starters were even better! The pumpkin arancini was amazing - just a shame it isn't on the regular menu, it's definitely something I'd love the recipe for! Good service, pretty fast, very helpful, even with the restaurant being busy Only negatives: Place was a bit loud and not much space between tables -

  • 5/5 SomebodyFeedKaz 10 months ago on Google
For me better than Rudy's (although Rudy's is AMAZING TOO 🙌) it might be down to personal preferences but this one is just tinny bit thicker, holds better and the dough has soooo much flavour 😱 Highly recommended the Mezzaluna experience or the other choice of chorizo and chicken with optional(yet mandatory 😜) hot honey dip. Excellent service and you can bring your own booze making this place even more appealing 🫶 not to mention they are very reasonably priced.

I like to reserve praise for Italian restaurants for places that serve a good tiramisu. This is the best Italian restaurant I have visited outside of Italy, would thoroughly recommend them as they have amazing pizzas and atmosphere. Dont forget to get a tiramisu or affrogato! Bring your own alcohol is a perk too!

Always incredible pizza and wonderful service. Also you can bring your own wine and beer, not soft drinks. Which I think is an incredible idea! I am so glad my brother introduced us to this local gem years ago and the restaurant has gone from strength to strength. I will say as the only gluten free member in my family the GF base is very hit and miss. Never the less beautiful fresh tasting food, no wonder it is number 1 in the area. So excited to visit again once you re open for dinner.

Best pizza in the area by A LONG WAY. Our takeaway consumption has gone through the roof the last year, we actually have had to scale back to once or twice a week as it was getting out of hand. During that time we've sampled A LOT of pizza, pasta and antipasti from within a 5 mile radius (Italian is our favourite) but for some reason never tried Double Zero till recently – perhaps because it's so close it didn't cross our minds as it wasn't 'exotic' enough ;) Anyway, we finally tried it recently and can't believe that all along the best pizza was just down the road from us. It is SO GOOD, and I can confidently say it's the best we've tried in 10 months. You can tell they use really quality ingredients, and the flavour combinations are so well thought out. Their antipasti is also amazing and incredibly good value for what feels like a real treat. Plenty for vegetarians too.
