awesome (and epic) pub, the bartender simon was awesome and kind (he winked at me) i went there with my buddy chris brown and we downed a few pints and didnt swear. i love simon i cant wait for lockdown to be over so i can see and smell him.

Multi-room Sam Smiths house, laid out in a very traditional style. Smartly appointed throughout, it gives an air of solidity. No frills such as TV or the like, just plain talking with people over the very good value drinks. Never gets too crowded, so is a good bolt hole. Recommended.

This is a great pub offering good beer and great atmosphere.

Proper traditional pub, part of the Samuel Smiths chain so the rules still apply about technology being allowed unfortunately, it looked like they accepted both Cash & Card however would always advise to take Cash just incase. Had the Double Tap Lager and Taddy Lager and was absolutely spot on. If you happen to be visiting Altrincham I would highly recommend visiting this venue.

For a treat the little bottled beers are lovely!

Not like it used to be. 1st came here 40 years ago, live folk music upstairs on a Friday night. Ever since I'll pop in when in the area. Last few times I've noticed a sour tang on the bitter, as if the lines haven't been cleaned. I've experienced it in Sinclair's aswell. Sad to say that today 7th May will be my last visit to this once great pub.

This is a great traditional pub. I visited for an hour after work, and really enjoyed my time there. Good, friendly, service too.

Good old fashioned pub . Basic but great for a quiet drink. No music, no TVs brilliant if you want a quiet drink in an old fashioned pub.

Beer consistent. Good prices in an old style pub. Tends to keep the younger crowd out as there's no music and less trendy. Ideal if you want a bit of quiet.

Well priced, tasty beer and a good couple of pool tables. Great for a quiet pint. We chose this place to meet up with friends from Altrincham in a Saturday night and we could still have a few games of pool and hear our conversation. Recommended.

Lovely traditional pub well worth a visit

Lovely old fashioned pub in Altrincham where you can have a pint and chat with people without the distraction of phones. The organic beer is a must try and the stout is also very nice. The staff is very helpful and polite. They don't take card payments so remember to bring some cash

Safe Friendly Pub.

Still cheap beer prices for Alty but gone up under new management. Only dog friendly outside now so one crossed off the list for me.

Excellent basic no nonsense pub, no tv fruit machines etc, just like pubs used to be. Samuel Smiths Beers at very reasonsble prices.
