I walked into the bar and the first thing that caught my eye was a man who was absolutely dashing, I sat down and promptly ordered a drink and that exact man came over to serve me, his facial features were near perfect and I couldn't help but be entranced by his bulky masculinity, I stuttered my words as I attempted to order a pint of Carling, I blushed and I could tell he noticed, he wrote my order down and gave me a wink as he walked back to the bar, mere moments passed until he returned with my ice cold beverage; a cute smile crafted on his face like a work of art, I stared into his luscious hazel brown eyes as he into mine, I felt a connection like nothing i've ever felt before, he placed my pint onto the table, we brushed hands when I went to take the pint and at this moment I knew he was the one, I immediately asked his name in which he replied in a soft tone "Matthew Taylor", a name befitting a king such as himself. He smiled at me as he took his leave, alone with my drink I had time to wonder about what I would say to him the next time we met. 10/10 will be my main bar for the rest of my life.

Third time we've visited and unfortunately based on our last visit we won't be returning any time soon. Order 2 meals, one arrived cold, the other wrong. When they were corrected the meals were just about hot enough and still missing items, but by this time we had given up. Previous meals were good to be fair, but this last experience was far from acceptable.

Went with my friend for lunch today. Place was quite busy. Tables hadn’t been cleared and had drinks and plates of food on them. We both ordered the vegetarian brunch, came over half an hour late. The waitress just put the plates down didn’t say anything about it being late . Or did we want any sauces or anything. When we Started eating the food it was stone cold . Couldn’t be bothered sending it back to be microwaved and waiting ages again. Last time was the same cold food and it wasn’t even busy that day. I won’t be going there again to eat .

Worst ever Spoons. You know what you get with Wetherspoons you shouldn't expect fine dining. However, when you order a drink on the app and are waiting 20 minutes for it to arrive when it isn't busy and no one is at the bar is something else. The pizza was thin, overcooked and yet still cold after clearly sitting in the kitchen for some time. I saw other food being sent back which was a first for me in Wetherspoons but also didn't surprise me. You usually know what you get in Spoons decent ping food and cheap drinks. However, this place is really really poor. I've never left a negative review for a Spoons before but this is needed. Don't eat here, drink here but go to the bar to be served or expect a long wait.

Lovely food and drinks. The atmosphere was great too. I had a Sirloin Steak and chips, absolutely delicious. The staff are very nice and friendly, probably the best experience I’ve ever had in a Wetherspoons. I would definitely recommend

Visit 1...June ...Usual basic but good food and good service you would expect in Altrincham. V CLEAN. Visit 2..August.... Too many good items missing from menu since COVID hit us so only the sirloin was desirable. I asked for rare to medium. Despite this in other places I often get destroyed like old boots (well done ) but here i got a perfect steak. 5 STAR RESTAURANT QUALITY

Drinks service perfect, the bar and waiting on staff were excellent, food arrived freezing after a 30 minute wait.. and when it was brought back it had been microwaved again so the cheese was like cement!! Chips still frozen Chicken was cooked perfect so one bonus for a rather quiet Thursday!!

Nice wetherspoons pub in the middle of Altrincham. We had food and drinks but they messed up the order so only 3 of the 4 meals arrived together. They didn't charge us for the 4th and put it top of the list. It's cheap, simple and tasty fair. It's nicely decorated and was popular when we visited on bank holiday Monday afternoon.

Can't beat spoons for value but first time I have visited the unicorn. After queueing up to order they were out of fish and then when we ordered the service was poor. All the sauce bottles were empty, plates piling up outside the kitchen, food was overcooked so not amazing but still pretty cheap so can't complain too much

Ordered glass of villa Maria wine on the app ,this is what turned up as they had run out, table not cleared of left over remnants of previous occupiers in the 3 hours we were there apparently some colleagues are meant to clear glasses only and some are for food and mug clearance when we asked for the table to be cleared.

Excellent staff but the building is bland, an old shop I assume. Not one of my favourite Spoons but as usual excellent value. My pint of Peerless Langton Spin was under £2 with my CAMRA 50p off voucher. ( JOIN CAMRA...the Spoons vouchers alone almost cover your annual fee.) Needed food. Pizza n chips. Fine rather than a gastronomic delight according to Madge.

I wanted fish and chips but all fish had been served, offered Scampi as an alternative. The meal arrived very quickly with plenty of scampi and perfect chips. A glass of cold Guinness washed down a lovely meal. Loved the place!

Visited for the first time. Me and my partner ordered some drinks and lunch. The service was fast, the place is nice and clean and toilets are spotless. The only thing the staff should pay attention to is clearing the tables before other customers come in. Apart from that it was a good experience, we will be back :)

Visited on the 14th of april for shelter from the rain. the place was busy and understaffed alot of uncleaned tables (had to ask for a table to be cleaned) stacks of used pint glasses and plates. i decided to have some food, had the bbq chicken. I'm fully aware weatherspoons microwaves a larger amount of the food, however when the bbq sauce was hardened to the plate due to being over microwave. Perfect for a pint after work but not much else. I do appreciate was very busy, was my first time visiting so is my only opinion but won't be returning. Beautiful place from the outside

Very nice spoons with usual food choice of great wines and beers. Didn't try the food. Lovely atmosphere with lots of folks enjoying early evening drinks. Friendly efficient staff.

Came for breakfast after dropping parents at airport. Ordered traditional breakfast and pancakes with syrup. The whole meal was cold. I couldn't even cut the pancakes they were that hard. Wont be going back again.

Me and my lads have been here 3 years on the row for our Christmas meal , this year will be our last we had an issue with the doorman and the lady manager was completely rude to me and my friends even tried kicking us out and boxing all the food we ordered we was a party of 20 and she tried to cause trouble , man thanks to Alex and cally on the bar for all there help they are really passionate about there job and helped accordingly such a shame to see a spoons ran so poorly when we spend good money in there every year

We dropped in for breakfast, as an alternative to a cafe and it was alright. Food wasn't brilliant, but its 'Spoons'. Simply wasn't hot enough. Unlimited coffee for £1.50 how can you go wrong. Interesting mix of clientele. We would do this again, and if you are used to paying £ 3, £4, £5 for a coffee its worth considering.

This is a picture of the “American Classic burger” it’s supposed to contain pickle, mustard, ketchup & red onion 😂 Honestly, don’t bother!

It's okay I guess. Food is decently sized for the price but the cost of drinks is slowly creeping up. Never seem to have basic amenities available such as straws. I can't comment much on the service as the staff seemed happy to drop off at your table and run without asking if everything is okay or if we need anything.

Extremely poor! Did not recieve what we had ordered for breakfast as completely different items were served to us, the 'toast' came out and it was just warm bread. Large breakfast was freezing cold, service was not too happy or friendly either. Will travel further out to avoid this wetherspoons

Didn't like it, been in twice now we sat near the kitchen and the hatch where used plates go, table 8 steer clear. Banging plates, food left for a good while, bottles being thrown in a bin, traffic out off the kitchen, wasn't good. Food was cold, burger had no taste, table wasn't cleaned, had to ask someone to do it, he wasn't happy, had to ask for a menu, I don't care how busy a place is, number 1 priority is customers this place has zero customer focus. Compared to the one in Bury, it was awful, perhaps send staff to Bury to learn how to be more customer friendly. I will not be trying it again.

The prices of the pub are the only reason why I am rating it one star. Unfortunately, it didn't hold up any satisfaction in food, staff friendliness, clean establishment and management. The food wasn't fresh at all and the portions were not acceptable in my opinion. It tasted like everything was just heated from the packet and tins and the menu was misleading in some aspects of the way they name items on their menu and descriptions. In terms of the staff friendliness it was 50/50 when ordered food and they brought it to you it was adequate but when you had a question or query suddenly their job seemed exhausting. I also didn't appreciate they they use the same toilets as the customers it's not fair to them and us and also that they have staff meetings in the open space where everyone is drinking and socialising. The management is wrong for have meetings like this while I'm eating I don't want to be hearing about how the table is reserved and that if I "don't move soon they would come up" to me just say it directly and politely. I also don't want to hear about marketing techniques on how to influence the students and young adults with alcohol to drive your "prices through the roof". Really shameful. Finally the pub was filthy. I don't expect a pub to obviously be the cleanest place but I don't expect the tables to be sticky and unwhiped especially when stains require just a little scrubbing to come off. The toilets were also unsanitary. The prices are very good though and they have a wide variety.

It was raining so I went in because I like the pub there was tables free and for 99pence I could get a tea and as many top up as I needed. It's machine tea or coffee which I'm not a fan of bit any port in a storm and it still was raining and my tea was hot. The staff where helpful, while I didn't eat the food it looked good, everybody tucking in. The ladies toilets where clean and tidy. I had a nice visit.

Food is ok, not like other whetherspoons, yes we come for cheap and cheerful but attention to detail could be better.

A solid and cheap solution to the problem of where to get a big breakfast when you wake up in Altrincham, whether it was your intention or not. My beans were on the froide side, but they are forgiven. Grace under pressure is an underrate quality (and album for that matter).

We were just visiting area, and popped in for something to eat. Nice and clean, food nothing special but enjoyed it. Atmosphere was good. Service good. Would go again if I were in the area again.

Can't fault the place. Cheap drinks, cheap food, very fast service and clean. Part of a big chain but still has character.

Great place... . lovely people. Food 2/10. Not the best.... steak very chewy. And the chips were missing the potatoe. But apart from that. Great atmosphere.

Food and drink of course is cheap and tastes good for price. They have their 'club' deals on every day. Nice variety of meal options. Curries, burgers, cooked sandwiches, steaks/grills and a good amount of vegan options as well. Downside was the lack of customer service, this could be due to covid and using the Wetherspoons app though. Overall happy with experience due to price.

Visited 'The Unicorn' this morning and approached the bar to be served, having chosen a table. A young women at the till looked at me with no acknowledge and walked away. I moved further down the bar to where another young women was sorting out the glasses. She looked up at me, turned around and carried on with what she was doing. A few moments later a young man appeared further down behind the bar and just looked around. No other customer was waiting to be served. I turned around, collected my coat, and left the place. I have been to many Wetherspoons around the UK and this one rates the lowest in my opinion.

What an awful place. Just been for brunch on our way to the airport. The waiter serving us couldn’t have been any more sullen or unhelpful. The food was over done and the eggs dried up and the whole place was dirty with food and rubbish on the floor. Most definitely not covid safe. I would recommend giving this place a miss
