Good gluten free beer, and I'm told the test is pretty good too

Not everything does what it says on the tin. I'm sure the ales might be nice but one guy sat behind a till and a rolled up copy of the private eye on the side isn't a shadow of what this place once was. Used to do amazing pies and that brought many to it. Such a shame. 5 years to wait for pie and mash, not sure I'll return.

I would say that this is a unique Very fine friendly bar. Great selection of locally produced real Ales and spirits. Plus a fine selection of German beers. Warm friendly knowledgeable staff . I have been in most of the local hostilleries that proport to offer real ale. Pi bar is the most competitive. Definitely put it on your list. It's pet friendly alsi wheelchair friendly. What more is there to say.

Not able to judge the food (they dont sell any) or the atmosphere (as no one else was in) but the bar itself is wonderful. Only small, with an indoor upstairs seating area & a small section out front with tables & chairs (only good for dry days) Theres also a beer garden to the rear apparently (never tried it)? Although limited for bar space the beer selection is good. More often than not there are 3 locally brewed ales on cask & 8 beers on keg, which usually includes a dark one. Altrincham born & bred Iv'e been coming here since it opened in the early 2000s and despite both it sister bars closing (Chorlton & Liverpool) luckily this bar continues to trade. I wish there was a greater choice, but should you be unable to find something unsuitable on cask/keg, they also have a well stocked fridge with numerous craft ales so im confident you'll find something suitable. Not the cheapest of bars, but far from the most expensive. OK, its getting a little tired around the edges now & the downstairs disabled toilets could do with a bit of a face lift, but all that said I still highly recommend this place.

One of the best bar in the north west - a heaven for beer lovers.

Only had a pint (a very nice pint of oatmeal stout) and sat out in the beer garden, it was quiet. But would recommend.

Popped in here a drink after going to the Garrick theatre. Excellent choice of draft craft ale, sat outside as it was so warm. Not sure if they do any food.

Fantastic craft beer bar, with an excellent choice of local Manchester/Cheshire beers. Beautiful relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff peeps. If you're ever in Altrincham, pop in. You will not be disappointed 😉🍺

Lovely wee pub. Range is smaller than most, but the quality is excellent - no bulk fillers, no bottles sitting half full for months. They have board games you can borrow too. Seating downstairs & upstairs.

Visited this place with a mate with the intention of ordering pie and mash, but sadly they don't do pies anymore. Beer was good 👍

Been here before. Three real ales with my first ever pint from Big Trip brewery..a new Manchester brewery I think. Madge says it looks like soup...hope it is unfined..tastes fine! Pi is opposite the Market Hall. Plenty of foreign bottled beers. Second room upstairs. Bring your own food. Point lost for tippy tappy payment. Big brother really does intend to track you Winston Smith.

Sat for a quiet drink of rose wine. Good price for a small one. Unfortunately untill future note no pie meals as they used to do. But the choice and quality of wine and beers are still excellent. It was relaxing atmosphere and comfortable to sit in

Brilliant wee bar run by a man who really understands and appreciates good beer. They have surprisingly wide range of beers on offer from boutique brewers in the UK and Europe. He had a german alcohol free beer that I had never heard of that was excelllent. He even allowed me to buy some of these to take home

👍 Almost always a good experience. Every now again it can take a while to get drinks ordered through the Greene King app. But sometimes they can be busy. Food is always good. Great steak and found out tonight the curry is also nice. Good choice of drink. I tend to have a coke normally but now and aga...
