sud
was
on
my
list
for
months!
i
finally
made
a
reservation
this
week,
and
was
mind
blown.
although
i
was
a
bit
skeptical
of
the
concept
of
communal
dining,
i
was
seated
next
to
a
lovely
couple
who
i
spoke
to
for
about
10
minutes.
the
server,
beatrice,
was
a
darling
who
only
amplified
the
experience.
she
helped
me
pick
a
wine
to
go
with
my
pasta-
the
paccheri
with
smoky
cruschi
peppers.
the
pasta
was
phenomenal.
it
was
al
dente,
and
smothered
in
chilli
peppers,
parmesan,
pangrattato
(which
i
learnt
was
a
replacement
for
parmesan
by
the
poor
in
southern
italy)
and
garlic.
the
wine
was
not
exactly
what
i
had
in
mind,
but
it
was
a
fine
pairing
nonetheless.
the
highlight
of
my
meal
though,
was
the
limoncello
which
was
served
in
a
frosted
glass!
served
traditionally,
it
made
me
happy
to
see
that
the
restaurant
lives
up
to
its
standards
of
being
an
authentic
eatery.
i
ended
with
the
caramel
tart.
the
marsala
gave
it
a
warmth
and
subtle
fragrance,
and
the
crème
fraiche
cut
through
the
sweetness
of
the
caramel.
a
single
grievance
of
mine
would
be
the
tart
shell.
the
pastry
was
a
bit
too
thin
was
not
flaky
or
buttery.
overall,
SUD
is
a
restaurant
that
is
worthy
of
the
recognition
and
love
it
receives.
