Very friendly staff, even if there isn't many of them! room was nice, clean and tasteful although finding the light switch was a bit of a challenge in the dark (room 7). Bedding was fine although the pillows were a bit hard for my taste food was fantastic, It is pub style food but freshly cooked, large portions and very tasty. oh and at a very reasonable price.

What can I say? We were put in room 1, gutters dripping outside, absolutely no chance of sleep. Moved to room 9, no remote for the TV, no help. Thanks.

For the price, this place is remarkable. Great hosts, great (and welcoming) locals. Rooms are basic but clean and adequate. I'll definitely be back.

Large very clean room and ensuite. Comfy bed. Few small issues though; not enough milk on tea tray, no non slip mat for the bath, curtain hanging off the rail and pillows too flat. We managed with pillows from the spare bed. Even with the faults we will be happy to stay again.

Brilliant hotel with great value for money. Short distance to tramline that quickly takes you to Old Trafford stadium. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and really good prices in the bar. Room was clean and large, perfect for a family with lots of space for kids to play. Highly recommended to everyone. Hope to return in the near future.

Attended a private function. Comfortable surroundings and buffet food was good quality. No experience of overnight stay.

Very friendly staff, bed was really comfy, room was clean. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the room but it was great for what we paid.

In short, our stay was pretty dismal. The room was acceptable, but the awning windows did not open more than 8-10 inches. The weather was a scorching 85 degrees F outside and the hotel was HOT. We barely slept while we were there. On our second night we requested a fan, and the staff informed us that all of their fans were taken up by other guests. Really? Not enough fans to accommodate each room? To make matters worse, the only staff in the hotel in the morning was one breakfast server, and she was unable to answer our questions. Would not stay there again.

It's quiet and comfortable with excellent staff who do go the extra mile to take care of the customers. The rooms are a little dated but that is something that doesn't really bother me. The parking is easy and it's close to all local amenities so it's a good deal all round. I didn't get the chance to eat there but apparently it is very good food.

Starter of tomato and basil bread was delicious fish and chips perfect, the two steak pies were both hard to the point of inedible pastry filling tasty one had chips the other cold undercooked fries, both were ordered with chips. Deserts were standard sundaes. Not as good as usual so they did not charge for the coffee.

We called in on Sunday for tea and had meals off the specials board - great food and nice friendly service. We will definitely go again and try the Sunday roast menu.

Brilliant little hotel. Travelling up to visit nearby family so only a short two might stay. Staff were all amazing, friendly and polite. Room was nice and clean, bedding was comfortable, mattress was softer than I usually like but was very supportive so had a great sleep. Garden is lovely to sit in and enjoy a drink. Lovely old building, with lots of original character. All other rooms were booked on our stay yet we didn’t hear any other guests whilst in our room. Breakfast was brilliant, and great value. Worth adding on for your stay. Only doing 4 stars as Some areas could do with a tidy up and maybe some fresh paint. But for comfort, quality of food and the staff it’s 5 stars.
