Great place. You have to pay parking unfortunately, but I think it's a private firm, not affiliated with the airport. We paid £3.50 for 2.5hrs. You're constantly asked by the pub staff have you paid, as they don't want anyone getting a fine. Anyway, staff & manager was excellent. Thoroughly explained that we could either eat inside or out, as they have separate menus. They have a couple of vegan options. I chose the stone baked pizza, onion rings and chunky chips. All of which were served super quick and extremely fresh. The pizza was unbelievable, rammed with toppings. Chips and onion rings cooked in clean fresh oil 🙌🏽 We then sat outside and watched the planes land. Highly recommend the restaurant over the viewing deck further down. Only downside, not enough vegan options

Beautiful food and great view of the runway to watch the planes come and go. Nice little play area beer garden and beer garden shelter outside too. Service was OK. Don't really like that as patrons we still have to pay for parking 😒

Difficult on this one... 4/5 probably a little generous... 7/10 would be about right. Service was impeccable - as busy as they were, the service was quick, friendly, spot on! The venue is amazing and we loved watching the planes! Good selection of beers etc too. The let down was the food, sadly. Husband and I ordered the cheese steak subs and as great as they looked, they just had no flavour. Not great having to add ketchup or mustard just to add SOME flavour to it. Friend said her fish was good, but her chips (different to ours - hers were the chunky ones) had an odd taste to them. Love the location and would definitely come back for a pint or two and a chilled afternoon outside, but we wouldn't rush back for food I afraid 😓

I think this might be my favourite pub ever, and if you have any interest in planes then you’ll love it too. From engine styled booths indoors, propeller chandeliers and plane themed drinks and food it’s great fun. But the real treat is the outdoor area. Complete with its own bar and toilets, the huge garden sits at the end of the runway and depending on the approach being used that day, has planes flying directly overhead which is a great experience. There’s a play area for younger children and everyone seemed to be having a good time when I visited. The food menu is large with something to suit everyone and the burgers are incredible. Served in good time, the portions are sizeable and represent good value for money. Staff are spot on and happy to give recommendations as well. I can’t wait to return here!

We usually got to the visitors park at the other end of the runway but thought about here for a change. The car park gets filled fairly quickly. We got in and paid for our parking on the Ringgo app. We went into the garden and had a hot chocolate drink which was reasonably priced. After a few hours watching the aircraft land and take off we went for food inside. We ordered our drinks and food. Our waitress was very good and had her own little cheat sheet on her pad with the large choice of lager that they stock. That certainly helped her and me too. We had ordered a choice of starters, mains and desserts. They were hot, tasty and filling!! Overall a great place to watch planes, have a good drink and lovely food. Thanks to our waitress, to the chef and entire staff.

Loved the place, met by trainee manager who's friendly approach to us as customers was above and beyond! The staff were very friendly and attentative, food was to die for! No wonder I've been coming here for the last 20 odd years! I haven't been in for a while, but certainly will come back soon! Well done manager and team!!

Lovely pub at the end of runway 1, good for watching aeroplanes land and take off through fence. Friendly pub which serves food, both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Lots of outdoor seating, some under cover, and a play area with wooden aircraft frame. Disabled access is good to all areas and types of aids, scooters, wheelchairs etc.

I'm an absolutely huge plane nerd so this is probably my favourite place to visit! Drinks are expensive but that's to be expected at an airport. Anybody that enjoys watching the planes this is the perfect place to go and the kids love it!!

If you're looking for a place to grab a bite and a pint before your flight, the Airport Pub at Manchester Airport is worth a visit. the pub has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with ample seating and a wide selection of drinks on offer. The food menu is varied, with plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty burger, a tasty salad, or a classic British dish like fish and chips, there's something for everyone. The portions are generous and reasonably priced, especially given the location. One thing to note is that the service can be a bit slow, especially during busy periods, so it's best to allow yourself plenty of time if you're planning to eat here before your flight. That being said, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the quality of the food and drink makes it worth the wait. Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to grab a meal and a drink before your flight, the Airport Pub is a solid choice. It may not be the most glamorous dining experience, but it's certainly a reliable one.

Great spot to see the planes at the airport. Unfortunately there wasn't many planes given the current situation. As we had to sit outside we were only inside for a brief moment, however it looks great and modern like it has just been refurbished. The food was pretty good, my girlfriend had the Bow Chicky Wow Wow burger and myself the Donner Burger. The downside was the cost for the parking but other than that it was a nice day out.

Great location to watch the planes take-off and arrive. Had bacon and egg sandwiches and hash brown bites, good quality food, and good value for money. Great service from a lovely waitress and good view of the airport. Good play area for children. £3.50 for 2 hrs parking, a bargain around the airport. Can highly recommend

Can't rate this place highly enough. Lovely food and atmosphere, but it's unique selling point has to be the airport side beer garden. Can either eat in with a meal (no bookings in place, just turn up) or head straight though to the back and order snacks and drinks from their dedicated outside bar. Be aware parking is limited and is pay and display, to stop holiday makers leaving their car all week! Card, cash or app.

Awesome food. Great waitress who served us. Cannot remember her name but she has 10 nieces and nephews she was telling us. She's was great with our 4 year old. She is a credit to the Airport Pub. When we return to fly from man we will certainly return. Great to watch the planes land. My little one and big kids loved it

I found this place having dropped a friend at the airport and, being a slight plane enthusiast, I had to give it a go. So glad I did - it was around 11:00am, so I grabbed a soft drink and breakfast roll - came to £16 for two of us with two drinks, so not too bad - the food was great. The inside was quirky and really cool, but the beer garden was great, with a playground for kids who were bored! There is also an outside bar. The pub is situated right on the landing strip, so you can see all air traffic landing up close, so much so you see the puff of smoke as the wheels touch down! Parking was £1.80 for an hour, imagine it gets tight if lots are there, but otherwise a superb place and a great location for plane spotting with a bevvie and some food.

We drove three hours round trip just to visit this place and I can safely say it was worth it! The food was fantastic, the waiters and manager were nothing but lovely. But the stand out for this pub is the location: Right at the end of Manchester Airports runway. Seeing planes take off and land what feels like feet from your table is incredible. We ended up visiting a little later so missed the runway being very busy but will be returning around lunch time one day and seeing the runway in full swing. Definitely worth a visit for something a little different. The decor is amazing and all aviation themed.

Don't normally write reviews on google, but I had to for this place...easily the worst food experience I've ever had. The 'nachos', were completely cold, with the most artificial stone cold liquid cheese you've ever seen coating everything. Guacamole, salsa and sour cream clearly out of a packet (how hard is it to make these fresh...). Although everything involved in the nachos was awful, the most bizarre part was how cold everything was. Like they literally just didn't bother to warm anything up?! Also ordered the mac and cheese which, although luke warm, was totally bland tasting and soggy. Only redeeming feature was watching the planes land. Worth a pint but stay away from the food if you have any kind of standards whatsoever.

Great place to view aircraft up close! Especially for the kids. Food and drink available too, though I can't comment on the food as haven't tried it. It does get busy though.

Just curious to the car parking charged at £3.50 per 2 hrs. I believe that’s reasonable to be honest. Anyone got any other thoughts .. I hear the owners of the car park target people also but in what way? I’m hoping to visit this pub sometime and would like some input about the car park. Thanks

What a fun family place, wish I'd found it years ago! Decor inside is unique and beautifully done, food is great, and then there's the outside! The Hangar, play area, outside seating was all lovely, and my son loved the planes taking off and landing just the other side of the fence. Staff were friendly and helpful, will definitely return.

I used to love this place but the pandemic has affected the business, as it's affected so many. You can see what the waffles looked like before Covid, and after. I was disappointed as it's not particularly cheap. However, the outdoor play area and viewing area is still a great experience.

5 stars solely for location This is the best plane spotting location in the world. I've been to In N Out LAX, Maho beach in St Maarten etc. and this one takes the prize as world's best in my opinion My only complaint - the menu sucks here. Really wish there was more traditional British pub fare. Additionally, website advertised breakfast but when we showed up on a Saturday morning that was not the case

Incredible pub! Such an experience, staff were so incredibly welcoming and friendly. Beautifully situated with an incredible view of the airport runway and lovely decorated pub. Corona beer on tap was a treat, what an awesome looking pump that’s got! It’s back on our bucket list to visit again. Food was lovely and by far the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. We will be back soon, thanks for looking after us.

Great views of the runway, of course! The food was also really good, and well priced :) Been here a few times before, but came today for the first time with our 16-month old, and he loved watching the planes come in!

The food was amazing and seeing the plains go past was fun. There was a playground in the shape of a plain which I found quite funny. The service was on point and whenever I needed something, they were happy to help.

Spent a great afternoon here as a surprise for my Birthday. Timed to perfection to see an Emirates flight going out. It felt so close. Great experience and a super place to visit with children. I will definitely be revisiting

Such a great place to go to, good food great outdoor area and the best thing for adults and children is being able to watch the planes landing and taking off at such a close distance 👍🏻

Lovely place to have an enjoyable tea on the eve of the flight. We like to walk so we walked from the Ibis Budget Hotel at T2 to this place and it took about 35 to 40 minutes. Lovely food, pleasant welcome and service, watch the planes a great interlude whilst we waited for our flight time. Well done Airport Pub, great job!

If you are an aviation fan, then this is the place to go. It is located right at the end of the runway, and you get spectacular views of landings and takeoffs from the rear garden. Food is a normal sort of price and not really that special but let's be honest, the main reason you'd come here is for the planes

  • 5/5 Rich G. 7 months ago on Google
Great place to visit to see the planes and have a drink. Parking can be awkward though that's because it's a small car park. Word of warning: it's quite expensive (expected, really) and kids enjoy the planes for two minutes; it's a good job there's a quality play area for them to enjoy!

  • 5/5 Alexander K. 2 years ago on Google
This place is great, it's located at the take off end of the runway so every so often planes are taking off just over the back of the pub. Food is good value for money I was shocked by the amount of food I got for £17 and I wasn't able to finish it all. Would definitely go back here if I ever end up around the airport again.

Wonderful place to see planes landing up close with amazing food and drinks available

  • 5/5 Will H. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice decor with a great menu with all options of burgers. Really nice twist added to the place by buying into there location with aviation related stuff. Have to pay for parking which is not ideal but I can see why this is done as does get popular with people just coming to see the viewing garden. Recommended go for food and drink and then have a wonder outside to the viewing area.

Great place with a unique twist due to it's location. Very well run with staff greeting you upon entrance. Fast pleasant service and very reasonable prices too which was a pleasant surprise as due to it's location they could charge what they want and people would still come. Kids loved watching the planes landing every two minutes. (And adults!)

How have I not been here before? This place is a plane spotters dream. Amazing views of the runway and a play park for kids. Looks like a bouncy castle or something maybe on weekends? Wasn’t up today but still. Staff are very friendly. The pub inside is beautiful. Parking is expensive but to be expected and the menu doesn’t look too badly priced considering how good it looks. Will definitely be back soon and will have food

Only 3☀️ for the fact that staff wasn't keen to get my food order. At 11:20 member of staff advised food is only served from 12pm, however after seeing food being delivered to other tables I asked different member of staff about food and I was told breakfast bis being served until 11:30am and kitchen is now closed, it was 11:31am when I asked!

When it comes to civil airlines Manchester airport has got it all. From the smallest 2 seater planes all the way up to the A380. The Visitors Park is a great place to view aircraft both taking off and Landing, with other attractions on site. However, I was aware of the Airport pub and grill, with its advantage point at the end of the runway. And informed of the great Full breakfast. It is easy to access the pub via the main airport ring road, even if the pub car park is full you can get direction from the pub to access to two further parks in walking distance. The site uses ANPR for parking with a car park machine. If you know how long you are intent on stopping you can pay at the m/c straightaway. However, a secret tip if not sure how long you want to stay you can pay when you leave. The pay machine I found awkward to use but at least there is an attendant on hand to happily assist. The main viewing area is the beer garden at the rear of the premises. So, you will need to walk right through the pub. You can if you wish have a proper restaurant meal inside the pub. In the beer garden you have plenty of picnic seating areas, a snack bar called the hanger- where you can get snack meals and drinks. Other features include a children’s play area, toilets - both inside and outside the beer garden. I noticed plenty of staff on hand, continually keeping the place clean. Re viewing aircraft Manchester airport has two main runways. They are parallel to each other. However, they are staggered where they start and end which sometimes means you have limited view of take-offs see Google maps view. It’s important to note when the wind changes so can the way the runways are used. From the airport pub you get a great view of planes coming into land, with the large planes you will hear them loudly and feel the wind they generate around them. If for some reason only one runway is in use, you are in for a treat as the planes come very close to the pub, queuing on the approach adjacent to the pub. On my visit just as I was leaving they changed runway directions and three large planes came right up to the side of the pub. All in all a great place to experience the airport, a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Modern refurb'd pub at the end of Manchester Airport's runway. Absolutely brilliant if you love planes and the theming in the pub is tastefully done and not too tacky. Downside is the bar service. Awfully slow. Cold drinks put in glasses straight out of the hot glass washer. Gin and tonics served in small wine glasses using 1/3 of the tonic bottle but still charged for the whole bottle of tonic. We asked for them to be changed - but we shouldn't have had to. Second round was almost as poor. Will go back for sure despite this because of the planes.

Awesome atmosphere. Great views. Friendly staff and the food is great. I do have to say the presentation of the food is very good and the food is delicious 🤤 Burger could have had more chips and cheese on the burger 🍔

No massive problems. We only had 2 soft drinks so not sure about the food. Drinks were expensive..2 J20 for £6.60, plus £1.70 for an hours parking. Food did seem expensive too when we looked at the menu. Staff were friendly enough, if not a little abrupt. Overall it seemed ok. Good views, obviously

Food is OK. I got the philly steak sandwich with fries. Would have been nice to have had some salad too. You get a great view of the runway, so good if you like seeing planned land and take off.

  • 2/5 David T. 9 months ago on Google
Unique pub. Right at the end of the runway. Could see a lot of take off and landing planes here. Service was okay. Staff looked very fed up. Prices have inflated recently too. So much potential, but unfortunately this place is losing its charm. Beer garden had a lot of litter.

  • 4/5 Andy E. 9 months ago on Google
The food is really good and the atmosphere and location are excellent ( where really can you sit there watching planes take off and land while eating ) The place is really clean and tidy, However we where asked if we where ready to order and we weren't so just ordered drinks but asked for a few more minutes.. 20 / 25 mins later after sitting there clearly waiting we got served. Everyone was lovely but it did ruin the experience slightly but I would go back for sure and reasonably priced.

Fantastic pub. Brilliant service, food excellent and the planes landing and taking off just the icing on the cake. Highly recommend. No bookings just walk ins; but plenty of seats. Parking takings coin or bank cards. £3.50 for 2hrs parking which is enough time to eat and do a bit of plane spotting. Play ground outside for the kiddies too👍

Love it here! Great for the little ones to watch the planes. Remember to take cash for the car park or you can pay via an app. They've just had a big refurb and it is brilliant. The staff here are always brilliant. Food is always great too.

Great location to watch the planes take off and nice start time the holiday. However food was overrated for the price (looked great in the photos but not in taste) and some staff members came across a little rude but still would return but mabey just for drinks.

Fantastic experience with the view of Manchester Airport and with the aviation theme within the restaurant. The food is fantastic with pizza's freshly made. There was only one thing that let it down was the desert. But I'm a aviation nut and I enjoyed the experience.

Fantastic to be so close to runway. Shame the fence obscures the view as they're landing but my plane-mad son loved it all the same. Great play park and good selection of food
