First time visiting and will be the last. Service was poor, didn't feel welcomed the tables are so dirty, and cocktails were disgusting, never had such awful drinks before. You could barely taste anything but water, the worst being the old fashioned, the orange was left in the drink, was not stirred, color was not consistent, when asked to have it remade, as it was not drinkable, the second was just as bad. The pina collada had a dried up passonfruit on it, never seen that before. Thought that was strange.

Busy bar, short walk from Piccadilly Gardens. Bouncers on the door, searching for contraband. Food was ok, we didn’t bother with the order at table concept as it didn’t seem to work. Bar staff helpful and friendly. Could do with a few more staff to clear away tables quicker.

This was the first time I had been in this place, and I will certainly be going back again. The food was hot and delicious, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Seeing as this is in the city centre the prices are very reasonable, plus the cocktails are two for one. They are open from 10am to 11pm, access is easy for wheelchair users.

Was here yesterday afternoon, it was bookings only but still very busy. despite this staff were still very attentive! had a lovely chat to Ruth behind the bar who made sure to get the mermaid tail sweets for our cocktails (main reason we ordered them!) It was very hot but staff carried on with a smile! drinks were great!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

A comfortable affordable place with great facilities and food. Our waitress( Aodbha) was fantastic and looked after us extremely well. So big thanks to her. If in Manchester take a visit here you won't be disappointed.

Went to the bottomless brunch, food was served quite quickly and was adequate. We had chicken burgers, vegan burger and halloumi wrap! On arrival we were given a bottle of prosecco and OJ, cocktails and vodka plus mixers were ordered, but very weak/barley any taste of alcohol. The place was very crowded and loud, so it's hard to hear others speak. Staff friendly, quick and very helpful. Ladies toilets small, 2 cubicles and 1 sink! I've had worse, wouldn't go again unless was asked as a group!

Fantastic time here yesterday for my best friends hen day! Wonderful and very helpful staff, everything was great. Very easy with bookings, prompt responses regarding food reservations also. Really fun environment and sparklers in the prepaid drinks a lovely touch. Thank you, we all had a blast.

Had the Dancing Queen cocktail and apple mojito and Bellini mocktails with loaded fries, the cocktail was epic! New favourite, mojto mocktail really refreshing, Bellini mocktail was fruity and tasty, loaded fries small bowl for a little snack were great, nothing fancy. Nice decor and bar staff were friendly and attentive. Will visit again 😁

What a great place, food atmosphere and drinks menu is amazing. Stopped in here with my works team 18 strong and the service for such a big group was second to none. Not a single complaint for any dish that we were served. Everything very reasonably priced and the vibe is great. If you are in Manchester then get yourself here.

Had lunch, tasty food, friendly staff. Revisited the place on a Saturday night but refused entry because one of us did not carry a hard copy of their ID, although very clearly over 21 years old. Disappointed...

Easy to order food via the app. Food was really good for the price. We ordered the chicken feast sharing platter and had ample food for 2 people. Really tasty food although some items were a little on the too fried/crispy side eg the wings and the burger buns which seemed to be toasted a little too long as it was chewy. There was a relatively long wait after we finished our platter to when desert was served but the desert was very tasty as well and a had a good portion for the cheap desert price. Overall, very happy and will return.

We went on a day of Harry Styles concert so super busy but platter was amazing.

Amazing service at Piccadilly location. Bottomless brunch was definitely worth it and the food was delicious! Amber was a brilliant hostess and dealt with all our requests!

Great selection of 2 for 1 cocktails that are quite well priced, and the ones we tried were pretty decent. This S & L is well located and has a nice interior. We visited this week, which is leading up to the platinum jubilee and I think it was a little busier than usual for a Monday, and it appeared the place was under staffed. I probably would’ve given it more stars, but we waited 36 minutes for our first drinks to arrive. I ordered these via the app as well, as the bar area was quite busy, so thought this way would be quicker. After 30 minutes had passed and still no drink, I had to go to the bar to see where our order was up to. I could see on the monitors that display tables that have orders, that our table was the only one in a red colour. I asked the member of staff behind the bar if they could advise on our order, and judging by the look on their face, our order has been totally overlooked and not even started. They did say that they would get straight on it, and 6 minutes later our drinks were delivered with an apology by the server. After this order, I thought it best to go to the bar thereafter to place our orders and these went fine. There were a couple of tables that were empty near where we sat, but empty glasses and plates were still sat on them well after the previous visitors had left, some were even still on there when we left and we were in there for a fair while, again, I think it was due to staff levels and the staff that were on shift, struggling to keep up with orders and clearing of tables. I must say the staff were very nice though to be fair and we got a lovely “hello” from the door staff upon entry. I’d recommend the “velvet underground” cocktail myself, very nice indeed. The “cherry bakewell” also nice, quite tart, but if you get a nice mouthful of the cream with your sip of drink, it’s a great taste.

Excellent couple of hours at the bottomless brunch. Our waitress Evie, was fantastic and did us proud. The food was delicious - we all enjoyed it. Better bottomless brunch than Turtle Bay - the Prosecco was 100% better than the rubbish they served. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.

Service was slow to start but got better throughout the brunch. They had ran out of pancakes for the bottomless brunch but upgraded us for free of charge after a chat with the manager. Food was good but the brunch experience isn’t as others in Manchester for a similar price.

Latte cold. Poached eggs over cooked. Tiny bit of avacado. Poor breakfast. Stick to cheap cocktails and overpriced beers

We’ve been here a few times for bottomless brunch and have always really enjoyed it and always got our moneys worth. It’s a really good experience and just nice for our girl chats without the men lol. The service today was not up to normal standards really, our last server was immaculate and she was always checking and refilling us up but today our waiter just seemed very uncaring and unhappy. Bottomless brunch is different due to the two hour limit so to wait nearly 10 minutes each time for a beverage it cuts away at how much you can get done. However we will always be back as we love it.

Had a bottomless brunch on Sunday afternoon, absolutely fabulous. Our server was Erica she was amazing 👏 from start to finish, she couldn't do enough. Would definitely recommend planning on going back again very soon just hope we get Erica again she made our afternoon extra special. 😊

Visited slug and lettuce in Manchester and was greeted by the lovely Abbie and Gebemi they were friendly and welcoming from the get go and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and service was quick. Really enjoyed my visit and would definitely visit again! X

Had my hen party in Manchester on Saturday, this was our first stop! Sat all 20 of us together, the drinks service was amazing, drinks were brought over without us even having to ask!! They made the day super special. Huge shout out to our Harry Potter look-alike favourite, we didn't catch his name but he was a waiter! He also got involved with a bit of Harry Potter role play hahaha, brilliant. Also huge shout out to the photographer with the key rings, he was so fun and we all loved him!! Will be back <3

Went to the cocktails making class with Dan and Alfie was a great experience fun all the way relax and fun it was well worth the money I've been to other ones very slimmer and this was the far the best A credit to Dan and alifie

I visited for bottomless brunch with my friend. We had a very nice afternoon. Drinks were great and the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We went in for a full English breakfast after a walk into town. The food was good apart from hard, overcooked sausages, which seem to have been reheated rather than fresh cooked. The eggs and hash browns were excellent. [Update: We visited again recently and had no complaints at all. Everything on the plates was great. Photo below]

I never write reviews but feel the need to voice this one. I visited on Friday night, I had booked a table for 6 people (which I had email confirmation for, I had also rang up well in advance to check I had this table secured for my birthday - all good and confirmed). On arrival, I told a member of staff at the bar about my booking and he was none the wiser. He said he had no record of the booking and was extremely rude and abrupt. He spoke like I was beneath him when I was nothing but polite. He said he would go away and find out what was going on and when he eventually returned, he told me he had found the reservation but would not give me the table due to the fact I hadn't payed a deposit. I had no email request for a deposit, nor had the member of staff I spoke to on the phone mentioned this to me, my email stated my booking was confirmed with no issues. There were plenty of empty tables in the bar that we could have had, yet this man refused to let me sit down. I felt so intimidated and let down as this was a special birthday. Me and my group stayed here and went and sat at a free table off our own backs, but this man ruined the occasion with his total lack of manners and bad attitude. I wish I had taken his name but I could not see his badge, he was bald with glasses. Do not work in hospitality if you are going to treat customers this way!

Cocktails the same as ever and a good price however menu said it was happy hour and online too and when server was asked they said it wasn’t possible due to it being Christmas?? Even though the offer was printed into Christmas menu. Great place nonetheless

Absolutely shocking experience. Me and my daughter visited after watching the Manchester pride parade for food and a drink. Expected it to be busy however we were lucky to find an empty table within a few minutes. Me and my daughter both had time to use the ladies and look at the menu to order food and a drink using the app, (approx 15-20 mins) A man called Dan came over and quite rudely put a reserved sign on the table we were sat on and said “we need this table at 4pm”. I looked up and he said “that’s 50 minutes” quite condescending. I said if we’ve had our food by then not a problem as we were intending to eat and leave not stay on for drinks. In the meantime, the same sized table next to us was reserved for 3:30pm and dressed with Pride accessories. At 3:45pm a female waitress came to our table and said we need this table back now. I said I’m not leaving the table as we’ve ordered food that hadn’t arrived and we’re still having our drinks. So then Dan returned complete with his attitude and said “we need the table, we have a booking” I informed Dan I’m not leaving the table as we are still waiting for food. Dan continued to be rude asking me what he was supposed to do about the booking. I informed him that we had ordered food, and it’s not my problem if he’s not been well prepared and you can’t just put a reserved sign on and force us to move. He said “I’ll refund your food order” - completely unacceptable. I don’t think he quite understands customer service. It went back and forth with my daughter witnessing this whole uncomfortable situation, with his poor attitude and his dishonesty that “upstairs is for bookings only” - completely untrue. I said why not just put them on another table gesturing to the table next to us that was reserved but not yet occupied 20 minutes past the booking time. He walked away and came back a few moments later for the reservation card. I passed this to him and he changed the reservation card on the next table for the 4pm booking card. Easy as that. The whole altercation was completely unnecessary, and a dampener on a day me and my daughter were out to celebrate pride. Please give Dan further training regarding policies for bookings and paying customers who are well within their rights to sit at a table and not be subject to an hostile experience.

Absolutely amazing! Will was fantastic! So enthusiastic and made our experience 10x better. My boyfriend and I are on a trip for my birthday! We’re from Scotland and can confirm we would come back again! Thank you Will for a lovely experience!

Dennis and Abbey were brilliant at accommodating us. One if us was was coeliac and were great at providing options for her. They were prompt with providing drinks and food and checking if everything was OK. 100% be back.
