Coeliac Review Thank goodness for the new owners! There are now actually some gluten free dishes on the menu. I had gluten free fish and chips and it was sublime. Only problem was; I should have ordered the large! The chips were the best I've ever tasted! I then had a divine creme brulee. Absolutely gorgeous. I shall return again and again. Thank you!

Been coming here regularly since moving to the area a year ago. Great pub in a great location however the manager is so rude and needs to sort her attitude out. The past few times we've been she has been nothing but rude from the moment we walked in the door purely because its busy. The most recent time telling us we couldn't sit at the table we had walked over to because it was dining only, without asking us if we were even planning to eat or not. The place is very popular and gets very busy but there is no need to be so rude.

Absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and the service first class. Amelia was the stand out waitress. Thanks so.much for your attentive and professional service. Looking forward to returning soon. The plum pudding ale was fab and a brilliant accompaniment to the roast sharing platter. Great food chef!! Lee and Yvonne Johnstone

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing view. Lots of places to sit inside and outside. The drink menu is very diverse and reasonable in price. Food has lovely presentation and smells delicious... We will try it next time for sure 😊

Nice sun trap! Plenty of outdoor space next to the canal - a couple of nice terraces - one for drinking, one for eating. Beer selection so so, but plenty of other drinks. Food was pretty good - I've never had the pleasure of a pizza from the 'hut' at the back though. The inside eating area has had a decent refurbishment since I went there last. Our waitress was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Outside sitting area was nice and overlooking the canal. Opted for a light lunch which was pretty much on par for what I paid. Can’t fault the staff at all pleasant and helpful.

The lamb shank was absolutely amazing unfortunately I ordered a veg curry which was quite bland (it was though the curry paste wasn’t used) but the rice and veg/beans were cooked well. I will definitely return as the service was great, the lamb shank was excellent and it has one of the most scenic gardens around.

We didn't book a table but managed to get a table. Got there for about 2pm on a Sunday. (3 people). The food was delicious, fresh and tasty. We had the roast Chicken, Beef and the Steak and Ale Pie. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were attentive. Definitely will be back 10/10.

It was okay, but not the best. Good atmosphere and service, but couldn't put my finger on why I found it just okay. Perhaps because there's a lot of competition out there and I've experienced quite a lot of outstanding lunch-time venues in the area.

This is a very nice pub that does great food.the food is a little expensive but tastes very good.the staff are very good and incredibly friendly.theres also a decent range of alcoholic and soft drinks.the pub has a good atmosphere and would go more often if it was closer to where I lived.however there is a carpark and the metro link is very close.there is also plenty of outside seating looking onto the canal for the nice summer days.

Great quality food with fabulous views of the Bridgewater canal. Nothing better than soaking the sun with a chilled drink on a sunny day. The wood baked pizza and the cauliflower starters are a must have

Great food Abi served us great waitress the food is sensational and all staff very effective. My favorite starter is the king prawn and chorizo and also enjoyed the proscuito and chicken skewers with the relish so much flavor.

Great venue for meetings over a well cooked lunch. Lovely views overlooking the canal, barges plus ducks. Took the opportunity to burn off a few calories doing the canal walk from Dane Road to Sale. Will be back again!

Fantastic pub. Great new management have taken over this pub what a lovely couple. The team was all busy but still smiling. Ordered pizza, OMG it was the best pizza I’d ever tasted. Full of flavour and massive. Ordered a couple of cocktails, peach Melba and drumstick went down an absolute treat. Looking forward to our next visit.

When the sun is shining, there is nowhere better in Sale to have a drink. The espresso martini is delicious, always made with coffee and never too sweet. Miss Peroni at both bars - it's a shame you can't get one anymore. The bar has gotten better since the change of hands, but the cocktail menu isn't as good. I've not eaten here since the new owners, except a tasty pizza outside, so I can't really knock anything off or give an accurate review. I keep coming back, so it must be OK- or close to my house!

First visit to The Bridge. What a lovely surprise. Nice pub in a great setting. The food and drinks were spot on, pizza’s were delicious. This pub is under new management and the managers are fantastic hosts and team who are obviously new but very helpful. Well done all.

Great place to be in the sunshine. A bit of confusion about queues at the bar but apart from that it was all good. Lucky to have a place like this on the canal. Food was good, great pizza! Staff were super helpful and friendly

Came on a Tuesday lunchtime in summer. Food was good with reasonable selection on the prix fixe. Good portion size on mains. Standard fare of Lees ales and big brewery beers. Service was slow but not rude. table across from us had some cold chips but the issue was rectified satisfactorily. Took a while for the plates to be taken away and the mains to come.

Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Could easily spend all day outside just watching life on the canal go by. Food was quick and tasty, cooked perfectly. Great menu options as well.

First time here. Really nice vegan food I ordered. Mushroom something was not what I expected but was absolutely gorgeous. My only quibble is that it went cold quick and if it came out onto a hot plate that held the heat would be great. Ordered a Coke and was pleasantly surprised got a large coke that lasted and paper straws are always good for me, for our Planet. Staff were lovely and were really attentive and made sure we had everything. Knifes and forks and napkin came in the brown envelope on the photo so you know they are nice and clean and not been touched by loads of hands. Looks like a really fun place to be especially in the evening. We went in the day for lunch. Car park with lots of spaces but could be a little bigger as it seems it’s a popular place and doesn’t help when the people with larger expensive cars can’t drive them properly and can’t park in between 2 lines.

Good location and interior. Staff very friendly. Food not so good. I had brown onion soup but it was quite flavourless, onions should have been better caramelised. I had the fish pie, hardly any fish in it and mostly mashed potato, the sauce was tasty. Biggest problem was after the starters our table was forgotten and we had to wait ages for our main meals. To be fair the waitress gave us complimentary desserts. Disappointing as I had seen good reviews for this pub

Very mixed reviews about this place. The good parts, the manager was very helpful and sorted some play mats out for the kids. Most of the staff were helpful Apart from one who seemed to be quite snappy with some of our party for whatever reason. They were either having a bad day or shouldn't work in hospitality. The chicken burgers were OK. The fish and chips were OK. The vegetarian pastry thing was below average. The actual pub it's self is in a lovely spot. We would return and give it another chance

Canal side pub that's perfect for a drink and some food. It's a gastropub with some strong food choices (burger is a great choice) alongside pizza choices. A lovely opportunity for a walk and very bright inside. The waffle is nice but not I suspect made to order.

Wonderful food! Servers were polite and helpful. Food for our children was brought whilst we had our starters which is really helpful for families and was very proactive of them. The wood-fired pizzas were extremely tasty! Food enjoyed by all in the sunshine!

I need to give this time one start to make a point, I was there today and for my surprise they added the service charge on my bill, this is a pub! no fine dining! I go there as many people to get some drinks and some Sunday Roast/ food, I am not against giving something extra to staff but I don't see correct to impose a fee on customers on a setting like this (again this is just a average pub). I asked the server where on the website states this new policy, she just told me it doesn't I find this soooo wrong, be aware.

It's somewhere I've been coming for two years since I moved to Sale and we've moved to just round the corner as it's the best pub in the area. The food is excellent and the service is really friendly and a perfect place for families. The location just by the canal is perfect. A great local business to support.

We always stop here after the Manchester Marathon as it's next to the Metro station and close to our hotel. It's a fantastic pub with friendly staff, great atmosphere and good food and drinks. This time we got pizzas from the outdoor pizza kitchen and they were excellent. Would highly recommend.
