Stayed at the Bulls head for one night before a flight. Loved the tartan carpet and the whole atmosphere a lot. Especially the fresh milk mini fridge at the reception for guests to pick up their own milk for a proper coffee or tea in their rooms. What a great idea and good way to reduce waste! The pub is also very well organized and laid out with some culinary surprises and some up-to-date pub food likewise. Friendly staff as well, have already recommended the place to quite some people.

We received a very friendly welcome. Decor of the rooms is nice & modern. Bathroom had a big walk in shower. Safe deposit box and tea & coffee in the room. The rooms are in a separate building to the pub/Inn. Breakfast is served in the inn. You order from a menu. No buffet. Nice options though. Plenty of free parking. Just a few minutes drive to the airport.

We had a lovely stay for two nights, two rooms for our daughter and ourselves. The rooms were cozy and plenty of room. (very accommodating when we wanted a double rather than two singles) The pub served up lovely tasty meals and a great variety of breakfasts foods which were exciting and inventive.A lovely stay thank you. Thank you for assistance with the taxi firm for the airport, in helping with sorting out the cost of the taxi etc.

We have stayed in many airport hotels but the bulls head is the best. Manager and staff very friendly. Took the hassle out of everything even booked our taxi to airport next morning . Great pub and great food with great atmosphere. Rooms very comfortable with everything you need including fresh milk for your drinks in room . Will only be staying here in future when travelling to airport.

Perfect! The hotel is very welcoming, staff are friendly and go above an beyond. The food! Outstanding and honestly I'm already thinking of excuses to stay again. I stayed as we were travelling to the airport, what a great way to start our holiday! I'm thinking next time we go here as our getaway as it was bliss!!

Really enjoyed our visit on a Sunday, managed to book online easily, parking was available. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food came in a very reasonable time, great value and cooked to a very good standard. The children's menu offered choice and well-sized portions. Highly recommended!

Good Food, and service impeccable. Nothing is too much trouble. Having tried to book a table for lunch, although we’d been told they were far too busy until much later, we took a chance and went. Plenty of space!!!! Apparently we’d got through to “the Hub” who had given us wrong information 🤔. We were delighted and had a great time as usual. Hope this doesn’t happen a lot as it would certainly effect their business!

Such a wonderful place. One of the best pubs I've burnt too for that little village/town cozy geel and atmosphere. Great service and fantastic food. Had 4 meals here now and each time they have been amazing.

Food is very good. Quality produce and well prepared! Very cosy and well decorated pub! Service is sub par. Staff are almost entirely underaged and obviously lacking experience. A better balancing would be beneficial to all involved. We were seated by a member of staff, without being asked what we came for, only to be told later by the manager that if we don’t order food we have to move to the bar, so we ordered food and then they got our order wrong. We caught a glimpse of a couple of instances where the manager was being quite abrupt to a couple of underaged members of staff. Since I have worked in hospitality for ten years, this is always a mood killer for me.

Lovely greeting, warm and friendly. Love the decor and how the rooms are set out. Fantastic garden ! Very good choice on the menu and nice size portions. All the staff are brilliant, professional but easy going and good humour. First time I have been but will definitely be back👍

My 80 year old mother thinks this pub is amazing, she does Chippy Tuesday every week and highly recommends it. - Do you still do chippy Tuesday ? Many thanks from loyal fans

Absolutely fabulous place to stay, especially if you are going to the airport as it's only a couple of miles away, the rooms are lovely & clean. The staff are very friendly & helpful & the pub/restaurant next door is a must to visit, the ambience in the place is top class & the food is superb & again the staff are super friendly & nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend x

Had food in the pub before and decided to return because the staff and food were incredible! So we came again and the service was again amazing. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and attentive! And the food was excellent! Proper fish &chips and proper steak & ale pie! Couldn’t recommend the pub enough!

Ate in the pub whilst meeting up with ex colleagues from work. Nice food, promptly served. Reasonable selection of pub 'classics' to choose from, with good portion size at a reasonable price. Dizzy Blonde beer on tap which always helps.

The hotel was recommended, due to the proximity of where we want to be…I am glad and very pleased that we did stay there. It has been a very long journey to get there and I was given help and support when I least expected them. Louis, Chris, and Sharon were but the few who were very kind and helpful. The foods are also amazing…. Breakfast was great, loved the Eggs Benedict…. The hotel itself is centrally located to where I want to be, and clean. Overall, a totally unexpected experience and I am grateful for all the help that was extended due to my circumstances.

Very convenient for Manchester airport. Nice rooms next to the pub/restaurant. Clearly a popular venue. Good value and all staff were very friendly and helpful

Excellent food, service and atmosphere in a lovely pub with an excellent beer garden. We stayed overnight and our room was spacious, clean and well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast was included with good choices and very tasty. I would highly recommend The Bulls Head and considered it extremely good value for money and an excellent place to stay especially if you're flying out of Manchester airport

Staying here for a few nights, easy parking but you must register your vehicle at reception. Nice friendly welcome. Rooms are well appointed. The in room coffee is exceptionally good, coffee bags rather than granuals. Bathroom space is generous with a nice sized bath and a good shower. Breakfast is served in the adjacent pub and is excellent.

This was a last minute booking and we were extremely happy when we arrived. The staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you! The room was spotless and modern and our food , both afternoon lunch and breakfast were delicious. We couldn’t of asked for anywhere better.

Large pub with rooms next door. Comfortable interior with good range of beer & welcoming atmosphere. Well-appointed rooms and excellent breakfast: quite good value for an expensive part of Cheshire.

Had a family get together here, an area in the pub was reserved for us which was perfect. We requested a basic buffet of sandwiches and quiche, basic it definitely was. The sandwiches were not nice, neither were the mini quiches some of which were not cooked through. The best part were the chips though they were served in what looked like a mixing bowl. The mini doughnuts and brownies were similar to ones you can get in Iceland and a very small amount were presented. All in all a disappointing spread, luckily this did not impact the fabulous time we had, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it or be returning.

Went to a family Xmas get together last night to try out the Xmas menu, there was 11 of us including 3 children, table was set out nice with all the trimmings. Starters were fine, prawn cocktail really nice, the soup was a little bit watery but overall not too bad Mains, the turkey dinner and sweet potato roulade were spot on, really nice, the other 6 slow roasted brisket dishes were inedible, tougher than ghandis flip flop on all 6 dishes, there was no way that brisket had been slow roasted to be as tough as old boots, the server was told and we were offered turkey but by this time we had eaten most of the veg due to the half hour wait in between the starters been taken away and the mains arriving, also the mash potato was 10/10, we declined the turkey and asked for deserts,(all this was pre-ordered by the way around 10 days ago) after another half hour wait and still no deserts we cancelled them, I was looking forward to the sticky toffee pudding as were the other 9 of us, but it wasn’t to be, they did knock 20% of the bill for us which in hindsight wasn’t enough as 6 of us mainly had soup and some veg and no deserts (which we weren’t charged for at all) Hard enough to get the family together at one time for a meal and to have it ballsed up like that totally spoiled the night, if we’d have had the turkey dinner and got our deserts it would have been a different story, but we didn’t so it wasn’t, thanks guys👍🏻👍🏻

Lovely place however the food was disappointing. Fries were reheated and hard, McDonald's would have been nicer! Burger very bland. Nice beer garden.

Beautiful place, dog friendly too, so that's a plus for us. Really good price for the English breakfast. Well worth a visit, will definitely be going back. Happily it's on my route home from my work place, so think it'll become a weekly visit after my last night shift 😀😀😀

Just arrived home from a fantastic quiz night here. The host was entertaining and sharply professional. The quiz was for all ages with dingbats, music, general knowledge; you just need to know a bit of everything. I'll try to swot up for next Monday's quiz (the team seem to want to go again). On other stuff: lovely safe area, tasty affordable food, very friendly staff, nice smelling handsoap in the gents', a multitude of cushions, a classy trendy interior, and a high tech 'car reg check-in' system to stop you getting a parking charge. I hope to try the dinner, then quiz night routine there sometime in the future - tonight I only had the nibbles.

We visited The Bulls Head on 16 November, on a Tuesday. On entering we were approached by a really friendly man who took us to our table. He gave us the menus and he was really professional. We went for the ‘fish n chips’ Tuesday. The server advised that this is a small portion and we should order off the main menu if we wanted a normal sized portion. We were disappointed with this as I had seen this offer on their website but no mention of it being a a small portion at all. To be honest we probably wouldn’t have bothered if we knew. We had a pudding as still felt hungry especially my partner. We chose sticky toffee pudding which was just sponge with no taste of sticky or toffee. We had a nice evening as it’s a lovely pub however the ‘fish & chips’ should be advertised honestly and maybe leave the pudding next time.

Lunchtime on a Thursdays at 12:30 until 14:00. A very pleasant experience for good food at a reasonable price. Excellent service too.

It's very nearly excellent. The pub is great, good choice of on tap beers. The food is good and not crazy money. The hotel is generally good value for money. The rooms are bright and spacious. They are beginning to get a bit tired in places though. There were odd splash stains all over the walls by the toilet and some scuffs and bumps. I'd give it 4 and a half stars if I could. It's not quite a full 5 though.

I had the most perfect cooked breakfast at The Bull's Head, absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and dog friendly to boot. Top notch.

Delicious Sunday Roast and Guinness on point here. Service was extremely friendly. There was a mix up on one of our orders and three separate people apologised. Good selection of food and drinks with a garden area. Dogs on a lead welcomed with a bowl for dog biscuits.

Stayed one night before flying from Manchester Airport. A step up from the cheap and not so cheerful likes of Premier Inns. Comfortable and clean, friendly and polite. Good value for money, would definitely stay here again.

An excellent evening away at The Bull’s Head. Great dinner, good wine, friendly staff, efficient service, lovely atmosphere, hotel room immaculately clean, comfortable bed, tea, coffee, water available & could be replenished at will ( we didn’t…but nice to have the option there!) Breakfast was delicious! Would highly recommend!

Great value... excellent breakfast... clean and well managed. Touch screen free parking each arrival if leaving at any time during your stay. Flasks of fresh milk in mini-fridge at reception a nice touch. In my view the Hotel sets a budget standard I would be happy to see wherever I stay. Just a note for information: the Hotel has its own Reception and Car Park areas separate and to the right of the Pub/Restaurant... so keep to the right as you drive in and save having to move your vehicle. Enjoy.

We stayed here for the night before flying out to Cancun for our honeymoon the following day. We had a very nice greeting from the receptionist. Room was very stylish, clean & comfortable. It had an ironing board, but no iron. And the room was very warm, but no fan. Later on we found out why. The radiator was on in the bathroom & we couldn’t switch it off. The pub is very nice too. Food lovely, but a little over priced. But the alcohol, majorly!!! £4.30 for a pint of Carling. Yes, Carling!! The Manager ran a very tight ship & made sure everything was working like clockwork.

Lovely hotel and restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was modern and clean. I loved I could help myself to clean towels and restock my tea, sugar. I also loved that I could get fresh cold milk at any time. Food was lovely and had a wide range available. Excellent that you can get it delivered to your room. Breakfast team were so friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent experience I will definitely be returning.

Stayed at the Bulls head for one night before a flight, great food and staff. Bed nice and clean and comfortable, room itself needs attention to detail, radiator full of dust, only little thing but all makes a difference on a stay, other than this it was very nice, tea coffee facilities and plenty. . Would come back. Food was amazing and well priced. Thank you.

Great place to stay overnight, nice and clean rooms with walk-in shower. Just the shower gel and shampoo provided could be better quality. Pub right beside the hotel is great, good food, nice atmosphere. Even the cappuccino and the brownie has great taste.
