We honestly don't know where to start.. so my husband and I got married here on 5th April 2023 and from the moment we met the staff at The Bowdon Rooms we were blown away with their kindness and professionalism. This was the 1st and only place we viewed and we are so glad we chose you guys. Allison, Ed, Hèlèna and Amy at herb and spice were all amazing and couldn't do enough for us from planning meetings and making sure the day ran smoothly and even going the extra mile to make us feel super special. We have absolutely no regrets and so glad we got married here. We would strongly recommend anyone who wants a special day to book here. We cannot thank you all enough and are eternally grateful for everything you guys have done for us. We want to do it all again 😊

Our entire experience - from beginning to end - was perfect. Héléna, Allison, Edward and the team went above and beyond to help us have the most amazing wedding reception. Our meetings beforehand were detailed and organised and put our minds at ease that they would have everything in hand on the day ... and they did! We felt that they genuinely cared about providing us with a fantastic wedding day. It meant a lot to be able to have live speech-to-text captioning on a screen during the speeches, and the staff were enormously supportive in helping us to arrange the details and set up. My mum (who is bi-laterally deaf) absolutely loved this feature, as did other guests who have hearing issues. Our guests all unanimously said they had a brilliant time. We honestly can't think of anything that could have been better. We can't recommend them highly enough!

We had our wedding here on Friday. I would rather give 100 stars than 5. Allison, Ed, Anthony and Helena were the most supportive, outstanding, patient, professional.....you get the idea. Nothing we say could possibly do justice to how amazing this team of people are. Meticulous to every single detail before and during the day. Treated us a king and queen on the day. My husband is a professional wedding singer and has performed at 100s of weddings, taking side the obviously bias, they are the best team he has ever seen by miles at any venue. This wasn't just a wedding to them....they went to extraordinary lengths to make this the best wedding and day for us both. If anyone is ever questioning to chose The Bowdon Rooms above anywhere else, my advice would be just book it and watch your perfect day unfold. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and our guests hearts. You were all perfect. 💖

The Bowdon Rooms is a lovely wedding venue. The interior is fresh and attractive with plenty of space for guests and evening entertainment. The events manager guided and supported us through the options available in hiring the venue. We choose a package offering with catering included and on reflection, we have no regrets in that selection. The included on site catering was excellent and the events manager communicated and worked with us very well very in organising our day at the venue. This included accommodating a piano player and a 35 piece showband in the evening. The catering and staff at the venue are excellent. If you looking for a wedding venue go have a chat with them and they’ll arrange to show you around the venue.

Went to the Bowdon rooms to watch the Fawlty Towers dining experience for mother's day. It was extremely good! The establishment was lovely, it was clean, nice decor, great staff and atmosphere and the food was of excellent standard. Everything was perfect except, a few of us were hoping for photos with the actors at the end, as was mentioned in the literature and on the phone, but that didn't happen and we were a bit disappointed. Apart from that, our evening was perfect! Thank you.

I spent New Years Eve at the Bowdon Rooms and what a night it was! The attention to detail with the setup was like nothing I’ve ever seen, the building smelt beautifully and was incredibly clean, they offered bubbles on arrival and provided all the little touches to make the evening extra special. The catering was fantastic, we all really enjoyed the food and the entertainment was amazing! The staff and bar team ran by Hannah were all incredibly friendly, hard working and went above and beyond. I wouldn’t hesitate to spend another special occasion here.

The Bowdon Rooms were amazing. Allison, Héléna, and the team were outstanding. Their attention to detail is second to none and we had nothing to worry about. From our first initial enquiry, right through to the wedding day itself Any questions we had were dealt with quickly. They put us at ease and let us enjoy the day. We couldn’t recommend The Bowdon Rooms enough for a wedding. A beautiful unique venue. Our guests were blown away, and we’ve had nothing but compliments since.

Couldn't have had a better start to 2023!! The energy of the place and the people was absolutely incredible! Fabulous food, stunning decor and top talent. Everything was balanced just right- decadent elegance with fizz and fun. Superb service to boot. I don't know how they did it, but they did. This was only my second time at The Bowdon Rooms but I will be back for more! Loved it. Faultless ✨✨✨

Fantastic venue for our charity event in support of Prevent Breast Cancer on the 15th October 2022. Anthony, Ed and Helena couldn't have been more helpful in assisting us raise over £15,000 on the night. Great location and staff, unique ballroom and good food courtesy of Herb & Spice. Would have no hesitation in recommending for any event, late or small.

Had a great night at The Conversations with Peter Doherty event. Fab location and friendly staff. Decent free parking and two bars so didn’t have to wait long to be served.

10/10 cannot recommend The Bowdon Rooms enough. We had our wedding here last month and from start to finish, Allison and the team were outstanding. From the moment we arrived at the venue, the staff were amazing. They made sure that ourselves and our guests felt welcomed and made the day flow effortlessly and smoothly. They were so organised with timings and with following the order of the day. The venue itself is beautiful both the outdoor space and inside. Also, catering provided by Herbs and Spices was incredible! We opted for a buffet and every dish was delicious. We had guests commenting on how nice the meals were and one even said how “it was the best food” she’s had at a wedding. Thank you so much, Allison, Ed and everyone at The Bowdon Room for making our wedding a day to remember.

Wow….what can I say apart from I’ll say this only once, the Allo Allo night was outstanding. Yet again the Bowdon Rooms did not disappoint, the set and participation from the cast and staff were second to none. Bravo!!! We had a fantastic night 👏👏👏

What an unforgettable night! The venue is beautifully decorated, inside and out, creating a very special and intimate vibe, which was perfect for the evening in conversation with Pete Doherty. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful if you tried, full of smiles and clearly happy to work the event, and with two bar options I never waited for long to be served. There was a slight issue with my cup leaking which was promptly resolved. Plenty of parking (free) at the venue which is a bonus too! My partner and I had a fabulous evening and we will be looking out for upcoming events being held there.

Absolutely amazing venue and a beautiful intimate gig with Brian Mcfadden. We had been upgraded to Meet & Greet and the staff treat us with the most amazing respect, they couldn't do enough for us. I cannot commend them highly enough. Would definitely return here again in future. Thankyou Bowdon Rooms and of Course Brian for an absolute night to remember, it is one that will never be forgotten for us.

We couldn’t recommend the Bowdon Rooms enough! From our initial emails and visit, Helena, so helpful friendly and attentive putting us at ease every step of the way. On our special day Helena, Allison, Ed and the rest of the team were there to calm my nerves and made sure the day went amazingly.

Had a surprise with the fawlty towers experience. Amazing show - food was excellent and all the staff were polite, accommodating and on top form. Dessert was a tad lack lustre but the entertainment doesn’t make that a mitigating factor. Had a wonderful time and best wishes to all the staff and hats off to the actors.

We had a fantastic wedding at the Bowdon Rooms. The venue were very flexible, allowing us to add lots of personal touches and have the spaces exactly as we wanted, and the final result was fab. The team were very professional and friendly both during planning and on the day, we have had lots of guests complimenting the staff. The food was great from Herb & Spice Would recommend getting married at The Bowdon Rooms.

Very well run! Oerfect for shows or theatre productions! Using it for Ballroom and latin dancing is immense as the chandeliers just enhances the experience!! History and modern day mixed in one

Having been involved with the venue since 2014 it has always been an exceptional venue to visit, work at and hold your private events. This unfortunately changed when the new owners took over in Feb 2020. Granted, they had a rough break with the pandemic but my entire experience with them over 16 months has proven to be full of lies, manipulation and a general lack of any moral decency. The venue had a real family feel with a lot of long term staff who cared about the customers and the community but I feel the charm of the place has sadly long gone. I would approach with caution

Had a brilliant night at the Fawlty Towers event. Staff were superb, venue is lovely and the things they have on are unique and interesting. Maybe they could host a dementia friendly entertainer one time? Ahem... Wink.

I have been a professional musician for many years and the quality of the venue , attention to detail the wonderful staff make this a perfect spot for a wedding or big function, although there is a smaller room for more intimate party’s . I have been to several shows now and each one a sensation in a sophisticated beautiful environment gorgeous and delicious food too.

Just an amazing experience. We'd been waiting to see this for a few years now and so glad we had the opportunity this time. ALL of the staff were lovely, so friendly and welcoming. The actors were just brilliant and kept the whole room entertained throughout our time there. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection, piping hot and very tasty. I'd recommend this experience to anyone!!

NYE: Jersey Boys were bloody brilliant however our meal was missing steak knives so myself and partner couldn't cut through the meat that was too tough. It was obvious looking round that lots of guests had the same dilemma. Cheese platter required cutlery and obviously required a Cheese knife. Overall though the Staff and service were great and the set up fantastic.

We had our wedding here in October 2022. Amazing team and a beautiful venue. The team at The Bowdon Rooms were incredibly helpful with bringing ease to the wedding planning process. We were able to trust them and they definitely brought our vision to life. Would 100% recommend for a wedding or other function!!

What an absolutely fantastic evening we had on Friday with Shakatak at The Bowden Rooms. They,as always,were superb musically and charming,warm,lovely people to chat to after they had played but I really wanted to pass comment here about the venue itself. On entering the wonderfully preserved and presented building,we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who made us feel so welcome.We were escorted to our table again with a nice warm welcome.All staff were very well dressed and presented and really made you feel that you were in a secure environment which was reassuring after recent events.The room and tables were dressed beautifully and gave a nice ambience to the evening. I would highly recommend this venue.

We celebrated our wedding at the Bowdon Rooms in April and can not thank Alyson and Ed enough. Alyson is phenomenal at planning, supporting and managing suppliers, timings and the whole day and Ed is equally fabulous at running the bar and evening events. Alyson genuinely helped make our wedding planning experience so much easier- she is truly amazing at her job! Thanks you so much from the Emmotts! If you are after a fun venue to party your wedding day/night away at, we cannot recommend the Bowdon Rooms enough.

Truly one of the best organised events I’ve ever attended. Myself and five guests had one of the most delightful nights out we’ve ever had. The service, attention to detail, food, venue, decor, atmosphere, everything was simply perfect and we cannot thank the team behind this fabulous show anymore. I can honestly say if you are looking for a Wedding Venue this place is fabulous. We have just celebrated my daughters Wedding here on 25th June 2022 and everything was perfect, we couldn't have asked for better we really couldn't. Ed and Alison Did us proud the attention to detail was second to none and all the staff were amazing. We had the perfect day and they made it very special. If I could have given 10 stars I would. 🌟

First time at a music gig here and I loved the layout. Individual tables with candles on and three to four chairs around each table. The stage lighting added to the whole ambience of the room. The staff were welcoming and friendly. There is a substantial car park. Would very much go again.

Ed, Alison and the wonderful team went above and beyond to facilitate the best celebration ever for our wedding in September 2021. The renovated Bowdon Rooms is truly a grandiose sight to behold, pictures cannot do it justice. The decor speaks for itself however Alison and team went to special lengths to embellish all the tables with splendour. Herb And Spice catering team offer an extensive menu to cater for any cuisine spanning the globe. They were very accommodating to adapt and tailor the menu to guests with dietary requirements.
